You don't need a new PC.
strait status?
>>109152484I hate HBM and whoever invented it
>>109152497strait of malacca? getting closed next
i love hbm and everyone who had something to do with it
I don't need you losers. I'm buying a lotto ticket tomorrow.
>>1091524843 mice I have used on my PC seem to always double click with the scroll wheel.Surely it's not a hardware issue right and something else is going on I'm not aware of
>>109152554no anon don't leave ;_;
>>109152480It's pretty shameless how Nvidia and the memory companies are abusing their 'selling pickaxes' position in the AI market, so obviously want this going for as long as possible. Yet at the same time the lack of commitment to increasing capacity, or even holding back additional capacity is a big sign of their lack of confidence.
>>109152604they're building more factories though.
i just spent the entire night troubleshooting the fucking bluetooth on my new prebuilt only to find out i had to stick a fucking sharkfin at the back of the motherboard holy fuck
>>109152604don't worry, china is building 10 dram+nand fabs and they'll do to memory what they did to solar panels, crush the competition
>>109152678>prebuilt...
If im just going to use my monitor to look at porn and tv shows with random black people in them, would it matter if I got an oled?
>>109152768/pcbg/ - Prebuilt Computers Buying General
>>109152802To fix your problem, you may want to look at WAN. It supposedly can replace characters in video clips.
>>109152687>Thinks china will help>CXMT have already said most of their capacity will go towards AI>They are selling consumer chips at 'market price'
>>109152687they will never go back...
What GPU (Gaming Processing Unit) to buy?
>>1091529339070XT
>>109152604I know RAM prices are fucked forever because everyone in the industry already announced plans to build more fabs. Samsung is looking to invest $300billion, micron already said they were building more fabs and expect them to be ready around 2030, cxmt announced expansion plans.
Bubble bursting bros, our response???
>>109152979It's not a bubble, it's the new normal.
>>109152979>>109152987High prices create the possibility of genuine innovation.
>>109152979As long as retards are willing to consoom at inflated prices, the prices will continue to increase.
>>109152979Do not the personal computer! You vill use ze datazenters, and you vill be happy!!
Is the really a big difference depending on what SSD you use when it comes to games?
>>109153145no. not really. unless you play slop.
>>109153145any ssd as long as it's nvme performs the same
>>109153145There are m2.0 ssds that look like nvmes, they are slow.
If there's still risk of burn-in, why do companies still invest in oled slop? What's the point?
>>109152979>Hassan Mutjaba>regurgitating CEO's that benefit from convincing stockholders the RAM crisis will continue>4chan users blindly and uncritically swallowing headlines like these as gospel
I have been living last few months in denial. I feel like I gotta bite the bullet and get my hands on some 2x16 kit to upgrade my memory this summer before the prices get even more ugly, it's obvious that we are in this ride for years to come at this point. With my current 2x16 kit I am regularly resorting to heavy swap use, both zram and disk, sometimes my computer straight up freezes.I will mix it with another 2x16 kit. I had good experience overclocking my current kit in the past. I believe both the kit and CPU are good in terms of silicon lottery. Haven't been keeping up with AGESA news but they probably improved 4 stick stability since 2024. If I can hit something like 5600 CL36 or better stable I would be content. I don't give that much shit about muh gaming performance anymore, extra memory would serve me better. Probably going to waste a week tinkering timings but a better deal than paying fortune on 2x32.I am tight on money so it is what it is.If I can also get my hands on a 2tb sata ssds for extra storage without breaking the bank that would be great but yeah I am getting ahead of myself.
>>109153271rebuying the same model once every three years after the burn-in sets inplanned obsolescencecompanies love it
>>109153282I couldn't even find CL30 48gig kits under 1000 in my country anymore. My sloppa dreams, died that day. It's over, over.
>>109153282I just checked and SATA market seems rekt for some reason.I guess I will just get a low quality gen 3 nvme ssd but I bet even they are ridiculously overpriced.
Thank fuck I upped my shit in February 2025. I'm stuck on DDR4, but at least I have 64GB of it, and a spare 16GB it replaced. Though it limits me to LGA1700 that I have now and AM4 that doesn't make much sense.
I saw this deal when someone link a better PC than the Steam Machine (anything is better) and was wondering would it be cheaper to buy those same parts and build it or is this pre-built is as good as it is going to get?
>>109153428do they have an AMD gpu option?
>>109153428that cpu is kinda oversized for that gpu. yeah that only an six core cpu but that is also only a 5060 8gbthe steam machine has exactly one problem. it's gpu. it's kinda slow for what it is and for how much they are asking. the cpu is alright. it doesn't really have to be amazing for playing games at 60fps with up scaling. i'd look for a system with a better gpu with more vram.
ultrawide yay or nay? sounds cool on paper but how does unsupported software behave?
>>109153444No, that is not on sale.>>109153445>gpu with more vram.Hmm, alright, I keep checking if microcenter every offers one with an AMD GPU with better VRAM.>>109153472They look stupid in person.
>>109153472it's great. can't go back to 16:9. you can have two windows open side by side without issues for most applications. it's great for gaymen too. slight curve on 21:9 isn't really noticeable. i bought one from work for very cheap and i love it.
I love my Steam Deck. Possibly my best purchase of 2025.
>runs fagslop on it
>>109153066>just start ur own fab :3
>>109153539imo 2D is gonna be out for ram
The funniest part about all of the RAM and storage issues is that Apple's MacBook Air's are actually competitively priced versus Windows laptops now. What a fucking weird timeline.
>>109153502Fate/stay night feels like I'm sucking dick while Dies Irae feels like I'm getting my dick sucked. Does that make sense
https://x.com/i/status/2071119153017032713CXMT will be our savior. Thanks Timmy Cook CEO of Applel.
>apple niggers get the chinesium ram
Remember kids: the ram shortage is caused by ai bros and data centers so the reason you won’t be able to afford a console to play GTA or God of War or Halo is because of this loser
>>109153718>won’t be able to afford>a console>play GTA>or God of War>or Halogood
slop should've stayed strictly local instead of in giant datacenters.
Steamkeks??
