i got a job at an insurance-based phone repair place (not saying which one) and it's very cancerous how everything works but it's not the repair company's fault that they got eaten by an insurance company and it's neither's fault that apple forces us to do part pairing and serial verification of screens and stuffanyway it's a VERY comfy job, easiest and comfiest job i have ever had and it's not even close. however, if independent repair shops were truly possible anymore, it would uncap my earning potential, which right now is a standard lowish hourly rate.
