Alright, whip 'em out, which OSs have you ever used?First one I used was Windows Vista for some years, also used 7 a bit, didn't have issues with either. I used Windows 8 a little but I didn't care for it, UI and whatnot was all wonky to me. Windows 10 for about 10 years now, could be better but generally I like it. I've used Artix Linux, works (usually) ((sometimes)) once you get it set up but what a pain that was (KDE Plasma and OpenRC). For what I use it for, it gets the job done though, and I wanted a bit of a challenge anyways, learning experience. I've also tinkered with Puppy Linux (64 bit Slackware base) in a virtual machine. It was neat but it didn't run great and I kept running into issues, didn't much care for the look of it either. There was also this Ubuntu furry remix that hasn't been updated since 2011 or something. It was fun to mess around with, again in a VM, but couldn't do much since it hadn't been updated in like 15 years. Still had the old logos for a whole bunch of stuff. Doodled a cute little lady in the drawing program it came with.I also tried the new version of Hannah Montana Linux for the lulz but man that thing lagged like hell for me. Basically just a weird reskin of Debian. If I had to rank them it'd go:Windows 10/Windows 7Windows VistaArtixPuppy LinuxUbuntu furry remixI'm not gonna count the other one since I used it for like 30 minutes and barely did anything besides try to browse the web and drew a borzoi in KolourPaint.
>>109971876Fuck I forgot Windows 8 in the ranking.Updated version:Windows 10/Windows 7Windows VistaArtixWindows 8Puppy LinuxUbuntu furry remixIf this was 2011 or if it was still being updated, the Ubuntu one would get a higher ranking, probably somewhere below Artix but above Puppy Linux.
>>109971876XP was my first, thought the GUI was shit / child-like.I liked Vista and 7 the most as I spent the most time there including some of the best times gaming. As for now I use Windows 11 on my 5090 workstation, and Mint on my 9070XT testing PC, don't really care or give a shit about the rest.
>>109971895Oh and also Windows 8.1 felt the best performance-wise despite the so many fuckups it had, didn't use it for long as it required 3rd party Start Menus to be usable.
>>109971876Windows 98 (2001-2)Windows 2000 (2002-4)Windows XP (2004-11) Windows 7 (2011-22) (best)Windows 10 IoT/Enterprise LTSC (2018-present)Bazzite (2024) CachyOS (2025-present)MX Linux (2025-present) (small mini PC home server)
>>10997187695, 98se, xp, xp sp2, vista, 7, 10. checked 2k, 8.1 and 11 once or twice. 2k was amazing but stopped getting proper hardware support. 8.1 was also amazing once you gave it a third party start menu (it's ridiculously fast compared to 10).i tried installing ME once and it overwrote the bios eeprom, I thought the motherboard was dead for years until I got curious enough to compare it to the online versions and noticed it didn't match.

>>109971876I've used 2k, windows xp, windows 7, basically it went to shit after 7, tried vista before 7 went back to xp, 7 was almost perfect although a bit worse than xp at first, then 8 came, I went back to 7 and have stayed on it ever since>inb4 baby duckwhatever, updoot trannies

I've also used macOS since 10.8 until 26 (as I'm not going to continue into the M-series era, since macOS isn't a great OS in its own right, just as a curiosity).

Only one person in here that's used DOS. This site is just slammed full of zoomers. No wonder it feels shitty now. Should probably take it as a sign to leave it behind like the rest did.
>>109972748Don't let the door hit you in the asshole that you are.
>>109972748I think I used Dos 2 but it might have been for a VERY short amount of time with elftree. We used to crane over 7 inch green screens lol.
