Someone should put together a boiler plate with the following libraries for a Triple A tier vibecode pack:

>Made from three.js
>but is standalone with no chromium overhead
>webGPU
>but has hardware accelerated raytracing
>can compile to any operating system or console basically
>the custom shader language TSL

All of this can be done with Three.js in Mystral Native with the raytrace addon
https://github.com/mystralengine/mystralnative

First person to slap all this together beats Godot and Unity.

space exploration is a huge mod that adds a bunch of space shit to the base game. it wasn't updated for space age, the official space and extra planets dlc, and with the creator fucking off to do his own game studio it probably isn't releasing this decade
given that factorio mods are almost purely .lua and sprites, how viable is rebasing the functionality of space exploration on space age with a modern ai model like sol 6.1 or opus 5.5? there's no disassembly or anything like that required, it's all just loose .lua files
factorio modding is well documented and lua itself is fairly simple, but the scale of the project would be sizable - space exploration is yuge as factorio mods go, but i'm unsure how big it is in term of modern LLMs
(the idea is to replace the base game space platform with space stuff from Space Exploration, and put Space Exploration planetary mechanics on the base game planets)

Three.js itself mocked Dan for that and he went right back to making stuff in three.js. it was a nothing filete.

The fact that ai can recreate things in AI that easily with three.js just proved my point though. And in the last week someone used ai to reverse engine Rocket League into the browser, and League of Legends and Dragonball Fighters together and remake it into a new game, also in the browser. And they both looked like the real games nigh identically. The biggest problem with three.js right now is low quality assets due to people not wanting to limit themselves by downloading the game every fucking time. Hence my thing about standalone.

It's a failure to adapt. Some people are stuck in the just make SaaS era when AI can make SaaS now. They need to realize we're no longer the developers but the boss, we can make the AI make the SaaS for OUR products. We can BE the studio making games now, not just the code monkey making small parts for it. Artists can MAKE the anime now, not just paint some frames. You either adapt and become the boss making the product, or end up on the street.

Yes but not just that, you need a good setup for testing in my opinion otherwise you're just going to waste tokens having it bash its head against the wall trying all sorts of shit.
I'm working on porting Animal Crossing to PS2 out of curiosity and I have an entire pipeline setup where it can compare runs in PCSX2 with one running in Dolphin, reading both framebuffers and taking screenshots and comparing them as it goes using a virtual controller. I wrote up a basic "expected mode of play" script also before starting just detailing what's possible to do in the game and to do those things while running as a basic sanity check.
All of that basically doubled the amount of progress I've made on it so far. Not that it doesn't get stuck on the most mundane shit but I can generally just leave it on auto and it'll debug it itself and reach a solution eventually.

i am literally working on procedural world generation with erosion, climate, that stuff, and it's time and time again i find myself doing well better by clearly stating what needs to be done up front, then letting clanker explore what it requires, then one shotting (or at least trying). the key is to stay bite sized - if you tell him to one shot a fucking video game you'll get a whole mess and more. the more it has in context, the more it tries to navigate around all the code, documentation and comments which just muddles what needs to be done and is exactly how you end up with very narrow code tailored to specific problem that is pretty much hallucinated

Was always retarded, IP isn't real. You have to use the software to make money, like designing actual products or refining the efficiency of your production. The closest thing to selling software that makes sense is subscriptions to backends for your software that need expensive hardware.
>>
>>109988316
I agree that I should've phrased it differently in the AGENTS file, but that doesn't mean it can go around and assume it's "fast and cheap" to run the full test suite. I'll just hammer the terminology down then.

>>109988339
I have a strong feeling companies like Adobe are going to have to shift their model drastically soon. I wager what they'll do is follow Affinity's lead and give their software for free and end up tacking on AI features that you need to pay a monthly service to use. It's the only way I see them surviving in the long run since all of their software is so much more replaceable now than ever before.

>>
>>109988446

>>
>>109988472
Yes but you have to pay the monthly sub regardless if you use the AI or not. I'm saying they will eventually have to stop doing that to keep people in their ecosystem because otherwise people will just shift over to using something like Affinity.
>>
>>109988496
Affinity kind of sucks though. The UI/UX is bad and it shits the bed with massive files. Not saying AI won't let them fix those issues in the near future but right now Adobe mogs

Affinity is pretty damn close to feature parity for most peoples use cases. My point is people hate adobe and are actively looking for a way out and they will have to change their business model or die. I didn't say this is going to happen tomorrow.

>>
>>109988593

You're pointing out what I already know. Starting off free until you make money from it is a good model. 5% revenue is also pretty damn generous considering what you're getting. If you can't profit from that you wouldn't have profited regardless of your engine choice. None of this matters anyways the tides are shifting whether you agree with me or not; most software tools will end up being free or left behind.

it's a statistical model that changes tiny words and punctuations so you can tell it was written by that an LLM
it reads the whole thing, like for example the rhythm of commas, glue words, etc. until you can't just remove it by changing one or two words around

Each watermark token can't be unique to a user, but each gives some bits towards identifying them. Once you have enough you can uniquely identify the account who generated a given text. It's not that useful for people, but it is very useful for state agencies who will be able to easily connect all your ai slopped content to your identity. Didn't say it was, I said the EU is the most brainwashed communist hellhole on earth and France importing niggers based on commie brainwashing is a good example of that. They're founding members and large contributors to the ideology behind the EU existing its Soviet influence. Some of the most harmful commie ideas arose in France.

NTA but all the decomp shit going on makes me think the 'profit' in gaming in the near future will be:
- handcrafted or at least handtweaked consistency between assets in the game. AI will likely never be good enough to do this, at least for 5+ years
- Server space for multiplayer games. AI games will be more efficient on servers but you still need a powerful server to drive multiplayer games.
- Organization APIs that integrate, middleman services (think steamworks, databases for mmo type games with persistence, etc)

When you look at roblox, it's because networking and all that was handled for the kids building games. The 'ideas' and coding behind games have dropped to 0. Games that don't necessarily require a 'human touch' (for example, you don't need to worry about AI generated dialogue and story in a multiplayer game, so it's good for AI to generate these) will succeed because they can be made a lot quicker and then the players themselves can make the fun between themselves.

That said, AI npcs and AI driving the world is really cool, if it feels dynamic not like 'claude make me lore'. Bannerlord has AI integration and it makes the NPCs remember you, your conversations etc and it's really thrilling, I can't go back to the vanilla version of that game. NPCs being ensouled, basically, with hand-written personalities.

A thought I had writing this is that singleplayer games in the future won't feel like singleplayer, they'll feel like offline multiplayer, with advanced bots either running locally or in the cloud to simulate other players. That's how bannerlord already feels with the "AI influence" mod. Most games in the past were built with this approach: make the player identical in function to an NPC, but piloted by a player instead

>>109989470
It's not empty, and obviously there's going to be a large diversity in what games handle this right, but I can see the potential in games that aren't made by AI but have AI integration. Bannerlord NPCs have all the capability that players do, they can go around with armies, siege castles, declare war etc, so it's like you're playing a big mmo with characters that are always roleplaying 'in character'. The 'slop' comes from repetition, so those characters just need to have handcrafted personalities set up for them so they behave and use their tools like a player would.

anti-ai sloptivists kind of have a point, it's that the majority of human developers are actually horribly bad at coding even vibe coding. Not only that, but they have no taste and no perspective for what people want, either. When given a small army in the form of ai chat bots that cna do work for them, they have no ideas, they have no idea where to even start to use this technology. The mental ability to adapt is just non-existent in them.

It felt like an AI generated video at first, but this is as an amateur coder. We're expanding our approach to content provenance to include text in response to EU regulatory requirements, while recognizing the significant limitations of current text watermarking technology.

Our tools already help verify whether an image or audio file was created with our models. This work builds on those efforts to help people better understand when content may have been generated or edited with an OpenAI model.

In the EU, we’ll start watermarking eligible text from ChatGPT and Codex over the coming weeks to comply with the EU AI Act.

Customers using our API can turn on text watermarking for select models worldwide today.

They're right in regards to corpos being greedy/retarded with the datacenter building though I disagree with their stance on the tech itself
by the time that all of the electrical infrastructure actually makes its way to the datacenters (5+ year wait time btw lmao) all of those chips that have been rotting away unused will be depreciated but the corpos will still have to pay
The tech is amazing, but it's not reality-bending to the point where it can conjure up electrical infrastructure out of thin air

"depreciated" is an accounting term. after it's deprecated, corpos are done paying by definition.

>>109989667
>but it's not reality-bending to the point where it can conjure up electrical infrastructure out of thin air
the velocity of chip development causing depreciation in value is not a justification for slowing down the infrastructure buildout though (if you believe in the tech). the waste is just the price of admission and adaptation
>>

Astra + Sol 6.1 is good enough
>>
opus 5.5 + sonnet 5.5 medium is good enough
>>
Sol 6.1 + opussy for implementation is more than good enough
>>

How can I use Opus 5.5 (high) as an orchestrator and Sonnet 5.5 (medium) as the slave subagent? I noticed that subagents can only inherit the reasoning level of the orchestrator in Claude Code
>>
>>109990167
i'm not sure why it's not working for you, i wrote it in my agents.md file and it seems to work fine enough for me.
>>
>>109990176
do you have any way of checking if the reasoning level of your subagents is really what you set up?

I'm asking because I noticed Opus 5.5 told me the subagent tool doesn't have a reasoning level option

>Sol 6.1 + opussy
I think this is the meta but I can't get a sense what's the best model for what. Opus is clearly best at long running tasks and outputs moderately more readable code. Sol 6.1 is noticeably better at finding bugs and I found it to be a good orchestrator.
On the other hand I built four small, self contained addons for firefox and gave the task to both models just to see what happens and sol high did a better job in every single case, which I didn't expect. Isn't opus the king shit for the actual coding part? Fuck I don't want to think
