NEWS/dmp/ anons voted in a referendum two weeks ago to suspend the general's presence in /g/ until this date.see: https://desuarchive.org/g/thread/109896766/#109896766The results were overall positive:1. the vibecoder troll didn't poke his head in /prod/ nor the /dmp/ mediaboard. It was feared by some that the trolls would "take over" the general - that is, continue make threads, ignoring the motion to suspend. That never materialized.2. Some activity could be seen on the /dmp/ mediaboard, now merged with the Fuze site at https://fuze.page/mediaboard/board.html?board=dmp3. There was less activity in the sister >>>/mu/prod/ general than expected - the decline of /prod/ continues. It now struggles to reach the bump limit. See https://fuze.page/mediaboard/board.html?board=dmp&thread=56Now we are back on /g/. Anons are once again welcome to make /dmp/ threads here and engage in them.Keeping the thread moving and of good quality requires a little effort from everyone. As one anon on the mediaboard put it:>The only realistic thing to be done is to report indiscriminately (people who respond to chuzo and not just chuzo himself) and, more importantly, carry on posting as if he isn't there.>When people stop posting in response to the thread being shitty, it only exacerbates the problem. When trolls post that much it unfortunately takes at least twice as much "normal" posting to keep a perceivable balance- obviously it would take multiple consistent posters to do that, lest it become one persons duty to no-life it as hard as chuzo. Of course, nobody wants to or should do that for the sake of a random general lol.I intend to keep /dmp/ going until roughly one year from now. If you have queries, you can put them on the mediaboard and/or in this thread. All good things come to an end. I intend to make a longer statement in the future, which will explain in more detail why /dmp/ is shutting down.----best regards, album organizer sn0ychan (1/2025 - ?/2027).
Reminder that SUNO and others can do within seconds what takes a neo-Luddite manual producer several hours or days to do. Unless you are doing a highly experimental and unique genre of music, you have been rendered obsolete.

>>110005812quality > quantity./prod/s long decline had nothing to do with the /dmp/ shutdown, but I expected that there would be a jump in activity, not a decrease.>>1100054331 and 2 are positive, 3 is negative.
