Has smartphone technology made the world a better place?
objectively no
>>110028025absolutely no!
>>110028025Why is Steve Jobs blamed for the iPhone when it was Tim Cook under whom the iPhone destroyed the internet
No, but if you were to ask me 10-15 years ago i'd say yes. Smartphones are a great technology but they become dystopian when everything in society either gets replaced by them, caters to them or become the only computer people use.Digital menus on small 6 inch screens via QR codes is inhumane. Consuming entertainment on such screens is a humiliation ritual, vertical short form content is genuinely demonics, And the loss of handheld gaming devices with dedicated buttons due to them is also heartbreaking and fucked up to deal with mentally.
>>110028195most people on /g/ are retarded underage subhumans from india on par with normalfags they blame everything about. If steve jobs was still alive phones would strictly be 4 inches or under and 100% reachable with 1 hand without doing gymnasticsI highly doubt the premium looking skeuomorphic design would have gone away.
>>110028025100% no.I'm a millennial and grew without a mobile, my childhood was awesome, we met with friends and actually had some fun outside without shit mobiles or tiktok videos.you zoomers missed out the best times.
Yes>>110028227Zoomer childhood is the exact same as you basedlennial though?
>>110028210The I can cure cancer with apple slices would've loved iPhone mini desu
>>110028269no it's not, pre-mobile childhood was way better when I look at zoomers and kids nowadays
>>110028283It's not gonna go away..this is the new normal you're here forever
>>110028675Reject modernity, return to monke
>>110028025Objectively yes. It has made computing much more available to everyone, connected people much together and made knowledge much more accessible. All the stuff that people are now aware of like MeToo, Epstein, Jeet Raperat problem, etc.... were only possible because social media and Smart phones made people much more connected and aware. Only people who deny it are either chuds, retarded anti liberal leftists and moronic nostalgia fags.
>>110028997>MeTooEveryone is terrified of catching a false accusation >EpsteinGot away with it, apparently glowie stuff>Jeet rapeEven without Internet women weren't really attracted to themSocial media isn't smartphone tech, which I'd argue compounded on the smartphones effects
>>110029048>Everyone is terrified of catching a false accusationIf you are an incel>Got away with it, apparently glowie stuffWithout internet and online anti pedo activism inspired by Chris Hanson, nobody would care some some rich guys grooming and fucked underaged girls like how no one cared when Rolling Stones was sexualizing a 16 yo Britney Spears or Charlie Chaplin or many a rock and roll artists often rotated between underaged girlfriends every 3 years. >Even without Internet women weren't really attracted to themMaybe but even before the internet the image of that country in media was mostly saar we new age we yoga saar hindu religion most progressive religion saar we hard working people saar super power 2020 saar. It was social media and the internet that revealed the true ugly face of that region.
>>110028025smartphones aka staziphones are digital concentration camps even worse than web browser.
>>110028269>t. got his first iphone in elementary school
>>110030287Got my first smartphone when I was 12 though and it was a hand me down galaxy miniDidn't touch applel shit until iPhone 6(hand me down obviously)
>>110028025no
>>110028025Before "smartphones" we were hellbent on privacy. The ephone was the Trojan horse that broke the camel's back. It opened the way to the kike fuckberg with facebook.
>>110028025I think the world and internet would still suck with or without smartphones. Undesirables were going to come online no matter what. There is this idea that sitting at a computer somehow makes what you post online higher quality than doing it via a smartphone while at walmart. But I don't think this is true. If the smartphone was invented we'd probably all just be locked inside in internet connected pods by now.Posted from my AMD PC pod.
>>110032102This is not at all true. We only started caring about privacy after smartphones. Before that privacy was achieved mostly through just obscurity. Desktop OSes had no actual sandboxing and any program was given full access to the system except maybe to system critical files. Security and privacy was mostly an after thought, implemented on it and was duct tapped on it in most cases. This is why Linux and even Windows fails to implement basic sandboxing features for their new app installation formats like flatpak and such that smartphones had or ages.
>>110034926The opposite is true though. Normalniggers are becoming even more feral with their oversharing for clout. It's a whole ass business model now that they see influencers and OF whores and youtubers and streamers bathing in money. There's even schools for that now. Shits mental.
>>110034950Actually the complete opposite. I've only seen normoids care about privacy now. Every parent is now paranoid about sharing s photo of their kid online because some pedo feetfag might use it a jerking material. News about privacy and data surveillance is getting millions of views. Big tech is the most hated in history than ever before, in 00s only wierdos like Stallman was hating on companies like Microjews.
>>110028025Yes I can post on 4chan from the middle of nowhere right now while simultaneously jacking off also right now what a world.
>>110035548Why would anyone want to jerk off to /g/ though?
>>110034992Normnigs didn't do shit back when snowden came out with the revelation. This is just cope at this point. Their retarded spawn still want to be the next pewdiepie. The only ones doing anything are conspiracist shizos knocking down flock cameras with their cars like they did with 5G antennaes
