Preston is the absolute legend that sent UK's Ofcom an AI-generated image of a hamster, in response to their £520k fine levied against 4chan for not licking British boots.

We are talking with him live today at 2pm ET:

The dishonest larping of 4chan cuck admins in this matter is rather disgusting.
>>
Not sure what you mean. I am not affiliated with 4chan in any way. I host a weekly livestream about privacy and free speech, and Preston is our guest today, to discuss the 4chan vs Ofcom case.

can you mention "big tits Larry" on your show? inside joke between me and Preston since highschool days
>>
>>110092773
i guess i respect them taking up the fight but lets be honest 4chan is never winning this case and they're just racking up an ever greater fine. This shit WILL end up with gook moots door getting kicked in by some friendly FBI agents.

Ask him why 4chan requires you to dox yourself with your home IP. No VPNs allowed, many altchans allow VPNs and have no spam problems. Ask them why they waste money on the fingerpinter service anyone has to expose himself to post on this site. Ask them why they're larping cucks when they could just ignore the UK.
>>

UK has no authority to regulate an American website. Furthermore, Preston authored the GRANITE Act which is gaining support, which would allow a US citizen to sue a foreign company or institution that censors it.
>>
>>110092971
the UK didn't ask 4chan to do anything for americans, just for UK citizens. Which they do have authority to do. Its the same reason every website (even ones ran from the US) has a cookie banner in the EU.
>>
>>110092970
Fair question, but Preston has nothing to do with running 4chan. He is just representing them Pro Bono in the case against Ofcom. I actually invited 4chan's admin to join us on a stream but they didn't get back to me.
>>

>UK has no authority to regulate an American website.
So ask them why they waste money on this shit all while they're close buddies with the FBI, pay for cloudflare (glowie MITM proxy), pay for that fingerprinting service, and all the other anti-privacy shit.
Ask them why they LARP as free speech defenders, bvut you can get banned for the slightest bullshit that defends any of the mods, even if it's not rule violating.
>>
>>110092985
I see. I guess the 4chan admins have good reason not to appear. They would have to be honest because their memes wouldn't hold up.
>>
>>110092984
Ofcom can levy fines all they want, but they have no legal mechanism to enforce those fines. Every company outside UK that has paid Ofcom fines, did so voluntarily.
>>
>>110093002
oh i thought there already were such a mechanism in place between basically all western countries but i just read up on it, apparently not, apparently the UK would need a US judges approval if they want aid with enforcing it in the US.

This whole thing was a pointless waste of time.
>>
>>110093137
It really wasn't though. 193 American websites just paid the Ofcom fines, because they didn't realize they didn't have to. Preston and 4chan took a stand to make it known that UK has no authority here, and also to raise awareness of the issue. He then got to work on the GRANITE Act, to give American citizens a pathway to fight back against countries that attempt to censor them.

If only the world would do the reverse too.
