What was once over 30 gigs in file sizes comes in at under 6 gigs now. No discernible quality difference since AV1 is a quality codec. Just make sure your media player or codecs or whatever aren't older than 2018. AV1 is extremely new so your shit needs to be up to date. all files in MKV containers with subtitles. A few are MP4s. Thus far it's almost everything from 2020 to 2024 (minus 6 or 7 vids). I'm working on completing those vids so that everything from 2020 onwards is there. Then I'll work on the rest. Odds are I won't do the first 6 or 7 vids he made in 2018 that lack sound and/or were only 30 seconds long.

AV1 codec was created in 2018 and presents at a minimum an 80% space savings on most files.If you have a video file that is 600MB, odds are you can get it down to 60 or 120MB with AV1. It depends on how good the original compression was. But you need a really good processor or CPU to encode your files with it.
