In my koikatsu nts adventure, I've now tried The Legend of the Hero of Edoriam, a game whose screenshots you've probably seen floating around if you've looked up netorase on rule34 and such. It's your standard gamemaker RPG but with a couple. The plot makes them the chosen ones, and it just so happens the way to revive the mcguffin that saves the world involves your wife being unfaithful. The game includes a wide range of NTR and adjacent fetishes, and purports to have an NTS only route where it doesn't get into NTR, so I tried it out.Well, while technically it is NTS, I found it to be very NTR coded. Since the sex is meant to be only for the service of saving the country, they appoint a trusted member of the mage faculty for her to have sex with. Once you trigger these events the wife goes to his house and they get dirty. You have the choice to sneak in and watch from the window and later to break into their house and watch it from behind the bedroom door. Ok so far, however, your otherwise totally loving and sweet wife, and the otherwise upstanding nice mage, turn into completely different people during these events. He turns into your philandering bully chad, shit talking the MC and treating her like a whore, and she turns into a submissive cum slut with him, and a domineering cuck queen with you. You're completely right about the grind, my assumption is that gaining corruption points is grindy at the moment because there's only a few limited sources to obtain them and that there will be more sources of corruption which will make the process less grindy. With that said, the game currently is at that stage and likely will not be for a few years given the current rate of development. Another issue is that the RPG aspect of the game sucks, it's poorly balanced and overly grindy. A lot of the skills are broken and the same or less damage than basic attacks, the same goes for status effects many of which do nothing at all. I genuinely recommend cheating to bypass the RPG combat because it just isn't a fun experience, even by RPGMaker standards. I think the biggest problem of all is the distinct lack of direction in the game's development. The dev just keeps adding more gameplay systems instead of adding to the ones that already exist, meaning that none of the systems are even remotely finished and effectively serve no meaningful purpose. The same can be said for the main story, the dev keeps adding relatively niche side content that doesn't advance the main story or develop the main couple's relationship. As a result of both these aforementioned issues, the development process has noticeably slowed down and I would expect it to continue slowing down until it's eventually abandoned due to unmanageable scope creep. Oh, and the dialogue is incredibly awkward because the dev is obvious ESL.Overall, my recommendation is to just put it in your backlog and come back to it in a year or two to see if it's made any actual progress.
