This is from the Septuagint translation (which the apostles used) and Philo backs up that this is also what it said in the 1st century.

Now, I personally think many of the earliest christians were opposed to abortion wholesale as can be seen in for-instance the Didache, but from a sola-scripture POV abortion is not murder, as much as you might want it to be.

But this explicitly says that someone who causes an abortion by hitting a pregnant woman should be punished? And the verse before it says the same about slaves. But because they don't get the death penalty for killing a slave, does that mean the slave isn't human? Your logic is warped to fit your insane narrative.

If the fetus is fully developed then a death penalty follows, if it isn't then there is mearly a fine.
The implication here is clearly that a fully developed fetus has a person status wheras one that isn't fully developed doesn't.
