I see exile from the Garden as a very profound symbolic representation of my own life. "The Garden" being my youthful happy dies when friends and family were still alive. Any old man looking back on life is likely to relate on a very deep level with "exile from the Garden".But if you treat Bible as your primary historical and scientific text, you're going to be so retarded that you're almost infantile. Even a non-indoctrinated toddler has a better grasp of the world and reality.I greatly respect Christians who're smart enough to realize that evolution is real and the world isn't 6000 years old. I even see myself as a Christian of sorts, but I believe in REAL science and history as well, and this requires realizing at least half of the Bible is NOT literally true, they're metaphors. But the metaphors can be a path to enlightenment.
