Is there such a thing as art being "over-constructed"?
>>7722663maybe
>>7722663I don't think so? If we're purely talking about end results, that more so up to rendering, shading, line work, rather than anything to do with the construction and sketch work.If we're talking about how quickly/slow you're working, then yeah there's probably going overboard and working at a snails pace. But maybe I'm not quite understanding what 'over-constructed' means?
>>7722707I mean art where it's apparent that the artist is using construction techniques like a crutch without an real understanding of form/volume
>>7722663>>7722766gay and cringe
>>7722786>>7722786Mad cuz you can't freehand, anon?
>>7722663Yeah. It can seem that way sure. Photorealism strikes me as this way . As impressive technically it is.
>>7722766>She has realistic proportions>Her head can fit 4 times into the head of the manGross.
>>7722807he's clearly higher up in the foreground here no wonder she's gonna look smaller also:>men have bigger heads than women
>>7722807Stop being mean, the good people over on indiegogo paid $100k + tip for this art
>>7722766why would I read a comic about a kickass female character i she did not get naked?
>>7722793>As impressive technically it isis it?
>>7722793There is no construction in that
>>7723028Sure. Art like what that anon takes a lot of skill and effort
>>7722793Realism like this doesn't involve construction. It's just block in/value matching
>>7722663If there is then your pic isn't one of them. It's clearly simplified and stylised to some extent so the artist doesn't rely purely on construction
Yes, is when art looks like the artist tried to hard. my art might have high usual skill but it looks like I can't draw, there's no flow to it. Is like how unlikable autists can learn how to tell good jokes but you have that feeling that it sounds so rehearsed. Over constructed art doesn't look spontaneous
>>7722791the art style is ugly and the dialogue is gaynow go project back on plebbit you retard
>>7723316I know. That's why I'm using as an example of the thing I'm complaining about
There's such a thing as OP being "over-faggot"
>>7722815It looks to me like the artist is way too focused on everything looking proportional and correct that everyone is too stiff
>>7722766>>7722815What makes you think construction is the problem here? It looks more like the artist just isn't super experienced and hasn't developed a strong art style. I guess if they were more skilled they would be able to make more fluid art without needing to use much construction, but if that's true then trying to skip construction when they don't have the skills yet would probably just make the art look worse. Maybe if the artist had focused more on practicing instead of being a gay libtard feminist this wouldn't have happened.
