Permabeg here but I'm having fun making faux stained glass projects. Nothing too complex, as I am retarded. Anyone else got alternative media art?
You're having fun anon and that's all that matters. Plus they look pretty good
>>7723245They look wonderful.

>>7723245As the other anons have mentioned, it looks good and you're having fun, so keep it up! Post more too if you can, I like it.
Thanks anons. I attempted a bowl of fruit yesterday and have an idea for another. I gotta work my wagecuck job before I can get to that
>>7726495cute bowl of fruit anon
>>7723245>Anyone else got alternative media art?Last time a thread of this nature was up I'd said I had played around with with text mode/ascii art. I haven't really touched it since, but I did quite enjoy it at the time, and rather like the look of the stuff, so I really should get back into it.
>>7726526love your little devil! you should get back into it
>>7726540Thanks buddy.
>>7726495>>7727091You're welcome, anon! Love this last one, my favorite so far.
>>7723245>>7726495>>7727091How are you going about making these? If I had to guess from the photo, it looks like your using tape and coloured celophane? Would that be accurate? They're quite cute, I particularly like the rose and flamingo, but I think you're being held back by the materials themselves (could be the photos though).I'd recommend jumping up to using different materials, though perhaps not real stained glass (that looks like a massive pain in the ass, using grinders, and solders, and all that), but perhaps stained glass paint instead. But hey, if you're enjoying these materials as is, no need to bother, because the main point of art is to enjoy it (why bother doing it, if you don't?).
>>7727535Good guess about the materials. Colored cellophane and tape on clear acrylic. I know it's not the most professional looking but I've invested enough practice and effort into the medium that I want to stick with it. I feel like there's so much possibility, the main bottlenecks are my imagination, skill, and patience.
>>7727535>>7727556I've got a friend that loved making stained glass but didn't enjoy leading, so she bought a kiln and now heats glass arrangements just enough to fuse them.I think Makit & Bakit still exists: they are little kits with metal frames and plastic pellets. You fill the frames with colored pellets and then melt them in your oven. The fumes are quite strong, though. If you're just experimenting, crushed Jolly Ranchers or Life Savers melt into windows in an oven. You could bake them into some homemade metal frame or forget the frame and assume adjacent colors won't flow into each other very much. Or bake sheets of it, score, and snap them into shaped panels and heat them just enough to join together.
>>7723245Youre clearly a Kirby fan, and it offends me BIG TIME you havent made a Drawcia stained glass like the intro sequence of Canvas Curse, like come on anon.
>>7723245>>7728132My dad works at Nintendo and I told him to report this to Nintendo corporate offices. I recommend you Cease and Desist immediately before the lawyers come and get you. Have a good day.
