Gotta make bad pieces to eventually make good pieces.
Also, it's better to make bad art than to sit there and fret over making bad art - thus making no art at all.
>>
>>7727778
Do you know how when you make art and you try making it better but end up forgetting the other part of fundamentla and you only focus on only 2 fundamentals?
>>
>>7727769
all pieces are bad. if you ever make a perfect piece, quit. if you ever decide to stop improving, quit.

>if you ever decide to stop improving, quit.
lmao what kind of hardass attitude is this
>>
>>7727908
he's one of those /beg/s that thinks this kind of tough talk makes him look cool
>>
In all seriousness its like. For me I make 2 bad pieces and realize im focusing on 2 fundamentals rather than all of them. And its a habit I need to stop. But hey I learned from drawing
>>
>>7727913
Idk its hard. Pawell brainwashed me into doing the grind mode. Grind this and that. I think what you should do is just draw make a piece learn from your piece do a lecture. Currently im doing a curriculum, like I have to follow it 1:1 which i think is hindering my process but i do apply what I learned

Practice is a beg trap. Doing bad art reinforces bad art. You have to acquire skill through enlightenment or not at all.

I’ve made so many mistakes that I’m finally starting to notice and fix them

It helps that I can put more hours into drawing now that I have free time everyday

Yes.
mileage > quality.
Produce as much art as possible. The quality does not matter. You WILL improve.
Be a bad art machine.

I agree with you in an overall way, but I disagree with this.
You want to always be trying your best and improving, you don't WANT to make bad art - if you do continuously make bad art and did so intentionally, you're going to form bad habits.

You're going to experience tfw ya style develops.

I don't think that pic illustrates your point well. She(?) clearly intended to improve or at least change her style, you can see how the new style is meant for animation.
>>
>>7728642
I suppose, but regardless of whether or not her new art style was more appropriate for animation, there's little denying that it was notoriously shit, and because she kept pumping work out in that style, she settled more and more into it - that's what I was mainly warning against.
>>
>>7728642
There have to be better ways to develop a style for animation purposes other than creating visual aberrations
>>
Bump cus i wanna see more of this convo
>>
>>7729080
Yeah, I'm just saying the girl did the opposite of shitting out a ton of drawing without thinking - she deliberately chose to learn a style, made for animation taught at her school.
>>
>>7727778
no but I sink so many hours into it that I can't stop until its good.
>>

>intentionally putting stretch marks under his (her? xer?) arm
every time I look at this I find something new
>>
>>7727769
Just because something ends up poorly, that doesn't mean you didn't learn anything from it
>>
>>7729464
Same
>Spend a gazillion hours into a piece
>It's still shit
>Regular drawing skill doesn't improve cause i spend 2 years on each piece of the pie and forget everything by the time im done
>>
>>7728547
I'm the poster above. I think we're on the same page, I just wasn't being precise enough. Of course the goal is not to make bad art. You should always aim to create something better that last time. However it's important not to get discouraged if the result ends up bad. Bad art isn't to be feared. It's part of the process. Necessary even.
