I literally cannot believe how good GPT is at giving critiques. Ask it to describe your image to make sure it's seeing it properly, then ask it for feedback to improve. I've been improving like 30% faster by using this tech for every image I draw.
>>
Oh, I should add that I'm using GPT-5 on Thinking Mode.
>>
>>7728235
gives generic word salad that could apply to pretty much and work. it's only 'good critique' at the surface level. letting the AI find mistakes for you makes you lazy and reliant on it. learning to see your own mistakes is skill you should develop. you learn much better when you discover things yourself. and it still gives random advice like color advice for grayscale works.

>gives generic word salad that could apply to pretty much and work.
so gpt was trained on /ic/ redline threads?
>>
>>7728235
its not critique, its just reddit feel good garbage
>>
>>7728261
It's very good at anatomy critique.
>>
>>7728266
While I don't think ChatGPT is that bad at giving critique, anatomy is really not one of those things you should be getting critique on (from ChatGPT or otherwise)
>>
>>7728266
>anatomy critique
Isn't this just a buzzword? How does anatomy critique even look like?
>>
>>7728266
how would you know if it's good advice or not. if it has to point it out for you then you don't know the anatomy, so you can't tell if the advice is accurate or not.
>>
>>7728235
I'm not feeding AI my drawings. I'm gonna let it starve to death on its stupid high chair.
Also, if the advice was so great, and your drawings improved so much, you'd show examples.

bro, the a.i. doesn't know jack shit, its just guessing, but whatever makes begs feel better,

Proportion & structure
Cranial mass: Add a bit more volume behind the ear (occipital area). From profile, the back-of-skull usually extends roughly a “nose-to-chin” length behind the ear; yours feels slightly short, which flattens the head.

Ear placement/size: The top of the ear ≈ eyebrow; bottom ≈ base of nose. Yours reads a touch small and a bit far back. Bring it slightly forward and enlarge ~10–15%.

Jaw & neck: Indicate a clearer angle of the mandible (a corner under/behind the ear) before the jaw sweeps to the chin. Thicken the neck a little and show the SCM running from just behind the ear to the pit of the neck for a believable attachment.

Features in profile
Muzzle block: Think of the mouth/nose as a wedge protruding from the face. Add a tiny philtrum plane under the septum, a cast shadow from the nose onto the upper lip, and a small labiomental notch between lower lip and chin to separate planes.

Eye as a wedge, not a line: In pure profile, show the thickness of lids and hint at the eyeball sphere (tiny upper-lid triangle + slight lower-lid plane) rather than a single lid line.

Values & edges
Three-value design first:

Light: forehead ridge, cheek front plane, top planes of hair.

Mid: side plane of face, neck front.

Dark: hair mass, ear bowl, under-jaw cast shadow.
This will reduce the “speckled” texture and make the head turn.

Edge hierarchy: Keep sharp edges at the nostril silhouette, lips break, and eye corner; soften the jaw into neck (lost-and-found), hairline, and the back of the skull. One or two crisp accents go further than many medium edges.

Hair = big forms first: You’ve got nice flow; push it by grouping strands into 3–5 large shapes with a clear light-to-dark gradient. Save individual strand marks for a few highlights.

(All from a GPT critique session today.)

It's easy to visualize the correction and see that it's better.

wonder what it says about this random pic's from my folder's """"anatomy"""? can it tell it was drawn by a pro?
>>
>>7728278
lmao some people just gobble up ai slop with no critical thought
>>
>>7728278
And what was the artwork it's critiquing? These could just be vapid empty words.

>>
this thread feels like b8
>>
>>7728278
like pretty much all LLM waffle, this is extremely shallow surface-level stuff that has an equivalent function to a cold reading, giving you just enough information for you to fill in the blanks subconsciously so it feels like the advice is deeper than it actually is
>>
>>7728278
Post the piece faggot

>>7728378
AI x anything is always bait. It's the premier bait topic to bait with because the fags trying to sell it to you need you to constantly hear about it.
>>
>>7728383
not really, i use gpt for advice now and then and I'm definitely improving faster. anons just hate ai for some reason
>>
>>7728235
No it doesn't

My brother in christ you do realise ChatGPT is made to please you more than it is to be actually helpful right

>This is what we are wasting DRINKABLE WATER on
Humans are awful.
>>
>>7729975
Water doesn't go anywhere. It remains in the atmosphere and returns to the earth as rain. You're thinking of energy, but AI uses negligible amounts in the larger scheme.
>>
Chatgpt is a sycophant but you only get critique here if you're a based retard levels of bad or if someone wants to crab you.

They told me art discords were good for critique but surprise surprise they work like every other discord and there's no critique until you suck the community's dick for a month
>>
>>7729999
The best way to get ChatGPT to give you critique is to treat it like you would treat an anon, baiting it.
You have to put it like you want to shit on the thing you made, and since its programmed to suck your dick it will point out all the bad shit on it.
>>
>>7730003
Huh, good to know I'll give it a try.
>>
>>7730003
so what are the parameters the AI must use to point out all the "bad shit" exactly?
>>
>>7728235
Improving more? Really? Sure dude, I believe you.

ChatGPT allucinates like 30% of the times, and when it doesn't know a topic, it completely makes something up.
The problem is that it sounds very authoritative, so it looks like it actually knows, but it's only an impression.
