>bargue :-/>bargue, chink :-O
>>7730883Very small changes can have significant effects on the impression given. The bottom head for example looks like the eyes are turned downward, but the reference eyes are looking forward. Mostly it's because of the difference in eye shape, but I suspect the accumulation of many small differences over the whole face are contributing.I will focus on anatomy first before continuing. I think I would have learned twice as much if I understood everything I was copying.
>>7731937Yurine is a shit.
There was an attempt.I didn't realize the reference was AI until I started copying it but it is still better than me so I learned a few things anyway.
>>7732786>I didn't realize the reference was AIwe've reached the end
>>7732787You will never compete with Ai. Ai just learned to crawl, soon it will be in a full sprint. If you aren't drawing because you enjoy it, you aren't going to make it.
>>7732787It's more that I wasn't paying attention to detail until I started drawing and then I just decided to continue anyway because of the sunk cost fallacy.
>>7732789Good morning saar!
>>7732799Good morning shitter in denial.
>>7732801Good saar, two more weeks. India will make drawing anime like in Japan guaranteed saar.
>>7732848But Ai is already better than you. No need to wait.
>>7732850It's not, less there would be no need to scrape my data and sell it or the dying need to access my brain. Glowies and techies are boiling excrement out their ears 24/7 and this simple fact.
>>7731959lel
>>7732789I'd disagree. Ai is free to use. I hate people so Ai will allow people to create their own mistakes. It only benefits a few select people as a crutch. People like Sam Altman want you to believe that Ai is important and that it'll change your life for the better. Denying the fact these guys haven't fucked their wives in years. Ai will never replace a skilled human.
>>7732850Good morning saar, please pay for anime commission. Really indisitinguishable from Japan original saar! Good quality for your value!
>>7732786It does look like AI shit. Some retarded scamming "artists" think they can get away with tracing slop, but you can never take away the slop look from slop.
Asg has fallen, grim....
>>7733306Then post something. The Ai threads are full of art.
>>7732416Nice studies anon! Please do more Araragi or other monogatari series character studies. It's always great to see more of art of that aesthetic, it's just so peak...
Anime is AI food, a waste of time.

prob random, but does anyone know if the aritst __meshigaumai came back under a new handle or something? i keep seeing his stuff pop up on pinterest
>>7733722Thank you, I will definitely come back to it after I learn some fundamentals or whenever I have extra time.>It's always great to see more of art of that aesthetic, it's just so peak...Can you put into words what makes it so good? I think it would be ideal to draw while focusing on what makes it appealing, but I can't seem to pinpoint why I like it.
Trying to motivate myself into drawing again. Is it just me that started well in digital but now is sucking to finish everything there nowadays? I mean, I feel like something changed that made my process worse in digital with time instead of improving. >>7733743The Final layer not being the final is funny lol.
>>7734889My main theory is that I'm not getting the hold of digital pen anymore. It feels too big since I played with trad and it seems like I can't see well in the screen anymore, idk.
No idea what the concept for this was except tits
>>7731937Asked in /mmg/ and figured I'd ask here as well. What is the "fun with a pencil" book of anime/manga drawing?
>>7735342pretty much the same books as you'll see recommended in general, well, instead of fun with a pencil, figure drawing for all its worth is the loomis book basically every jap artist has on their bookshelf.
>>7735490original
>>7734889I started with pen tablet, moved to screen tablet and returned to pen tablet because I couldn't get used to the pen on screen feeling. Might be fixable with time but since some pros still prefer a pen tablet or use both there might be differences in comfort between them.

>>7734890Trad is chad. /thread
>>7734889Just focus on fun for a bit. Not everything is about improovment. You'll improve by by default just by drawing more having fun imo.

>>7735490I'm realizing that I should have pushed the contrast a lot more to match the original.
>>7736129Looks good anon.To me the okarun looks a little too wide, this could also be a stylistic choice and I don't think it looks bad by any means.
Seeking advice cause lsg is too busy bickering
>>7731937The murata one is fucking epic, kudos to whoever drew it. NO IM NOT A PDFILE NOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>7736703I think the right eye is a little too big and could maybe be more central. I would move the ear lower, generally the ear should be below the eye line unless the head is angled downwards. Moving the ear lower can also make a character look cuter. I think the mouth could be narrower. This is a personal preference but I would also make the chin sharper with a curve for the cheek.Other than that I think it is decent. I actually like the way you drew the hair even if it doesn't follow what you would usually see in the "anime style"
>>7736736Thank you anon.

>>7741615>no replies to this in two daysI'm gonna assume this isn't good enough for /asg/>>7743969I think this is very nice. the texture feels very physical and traditional. the proportions are good too,I really like it!
>>7744803No, it's really good. It's just that /asg/ is dead. Is one the reference and one your own, or did you draw both?

>>7745294You were able to capture Marin's resemblance well enough that I can tell this is supposed to be her, which is good, but her anatomy needs more work. Marin should have a fuller figure: her waist shouldn't taper that exaggeratedly, and her thighs should be significantly thicker. In addition, her breasts should be smaller. Another thing that could be improved is her hair. Marin's hair isn't fluffy, jagged, and frayed; it's straight and smooth. Try using shots from the anime as references. i can't ever settle on noses that i like. can you post examples of noses that you like
>>7752975you must look within anon, you need only ask the man in the mirror.be not the artist that wants to draw what others want..be the artist that draws what the artist wants.
>>7752975almost nothing in anime can just be lifted from a different style without concern for ruining cohesion.>can you post examples of noses that you likeany good example you could pick does noses that way for a good reason that inter-depends on everything else in the style.

wtf are these lines even supposed to be? the student obviously needs to study head anatomy to achieve this.he didn’t teach anything to the beginner, he’s just using a guide that he already knows how to use to fix the drawing.he is fixing not teaching.
Tried to make something original
>>7754388source with timestamp?>anatomywhat does it mean to learn "head anatomy" if not drawing proper heads in the style?
>>7754397very booba quite nice
>>7750881>>7750882good pen control. you can either start light hatching and go denser as you reach the blacks, or you start with black block in and feather outwards to make a gradation
>>7754397where can i masturbate to more of your work?
>>7754388the parallel lines are for the form of the face, with the arrows giving indication for eye direction. The other line is where the cheek ends and the eye socket begins. For an anime style face, the eyes are basically flat projected over the face like a piece of tape. The anime face is much flatter than you think in 3D space, it only really became apparent to me after looking at game models to see how they create the form.
im proud of my progress this year. thanks for all the advice /asg/
>>7755382>For an anime style face, the eyes are basically flat projected over the face like a piece of tape.
>>7755428I'm happy to be proven wrong by a genius artist like you anon but I'm not sure how else you would think of the eyes. Like if you look at how people model an anime girl in 3D take notice of how flat the eyes are - basically a plane running through the centre of the face horizontally.
>>7755449Pic related
>>7755449>I'm not sure how else you would think of the eyesThink of them as 2D designs. 3D is a simplification of 2D anime to make it work in the limited setting of 3D.
>>7755382like I said, he's just using a guide that he already knows how to use, the student will learn nothing
>>7755453i.e. anime eyes are bunch of 2D designs chosen carefully for every prominent angle, 3D is one concrete object shown from different angles
>>7755456>the student will learn nothingproof? can you show us how to do it properly and link to the video?
>>7755457>>7755453>>7755456Yes I agree they are 2D designs, and then those 2D designs are placed on this thin flat plane over the face. This is how you make sense of that in 3D with the rest of the forms in the body/the scene as a whole, and importantly keep the eyes as visible as possible since they are the defining feature of anime style faces. The lines he is using are trying to show where to place that strip. Japanese artists do this all the time if you look at their WIPs.
>>7755461>proof80% of /beg/s who use the cross guide still don’t know how to draw a facebecause they don't know how to place the cross, just like this artist doesn't teach them how to place the line>link to the videothe artist is /asg/ "essential" and it's literally on the thumbnail of his latest video
>>7755188X is NghtmreArt
>>7755475how should we learn head anatomy then if Japanese can't teach it? can you show us?
>>7755428that's a pretty common beginner trick actually.
It's difficult.. (no trace)
>>7755523
>>7755467>are placed on this thin flat plane over the face>make sense of that in 3Din 3D programs but not in 2D anime. 2D > 3D>>7755520>beginner trickprecisely, it doesn't show the full concept because the drawing of the further eye remains the same instead of changing according to the design like it does in 2D anime. it's extremely dangerous in our cultural climate to downplay the complexity of 2D anime.
