Can I get some tips on designing female healer characters? When I try the blonde hair nun aesthetic it just turns out so boring. But then someone like Asia is exactly that but has a very appealing design.

>>7739290>designing female healer charactersThey can literally look like whatever you want them to look like.
>>7739290>blonde hair nun aestheticit's about purity, I think, so instead of straight up copying try to design characters that feel pure
>>7739290Drawing a black or Asian woman is not purity, the Japanese draw the "angelic" stereotype of European paintings, that's why they make her white, blonde and blue-eyed, the hair can vary in color such as light blue, white or aqua green, but never dark unless it indicates corruption, it is the philosophy of color.
>>7739290Go to church. See a nun. Draw what you see.
>>7739290You could also make the healer a purple skinned bondage clad reverse vampire who shoots blood put of her orifices directly into her allies arteries to sacrifice/impart a portion of her own accelerated healing ability. What I'm saying is, sky's the limit.
try alternative medicines, like a female healer that heals by using magic crystals, then build a design around that. other alt forms of healing that i think will make for some fun designs:>acupuncture>herbal >chiropractor>shaman>binaural beatsif that doesn't work. you can't go wrong with female wizard with a big hat, and a staff with a floating rock in it. it's generic and uninspired, but it's a design that works every time.
>healerdraw a femboy, say it's a girl
>>7739448Source?I don't buy it. Their pornography reflects a desire for asian women. Not white women. Anime are cartoons. Japanese are whiteskinned. A character having yellow hair and blue eyes is the same as a character with red eyes and green hair.
>>7739290These proportions are so fucking hot
>>7739290just design a normal female character, dress her up in nurse/doctor attire just like mercy from overwatch, and that's it: a goddamn healeror if you want some bullshit magical elf healer type of shit just draw some elf or any female looking thing, dress them up in white robes or something, makes their face either innocent or motherly, and call it a day; google 'nicole genshin' if you want to see generic healer design reference for fantasy healer like that
>>7739448>the Japanese draw the "angelic" stereotype of European paintingsthat's not what an Anime character is , baka
>>7739515Speaking of which, Bridget isn't a healer (at least gameplay wise in Strive, idk about the story or earlier entries) but she's got the aesthetic. What they do is give her a nun-looking hoodie, followed by giant sneakers, a handcuff hula hoop, a teddy bear, and a yoyo.So the lesson here is to just add random shit until it looks good.
>>7739290design a cute goth girl who wants to use edgy dark magic, but is buck broken into being a healslut by her party

>>7739290>healer charactersstaring a design based off game archtypes instead of fantasy ones is a bad place to startMMOs didn't even start from those tropes because they developed themlike a "healer" is very vague, like that could mean a lot of different things. even fewer when you're not trying to copy from mmosbut a cleric? even before mmos infected what that meant, you don't need to think of games at all to have an idea of what that could mean. but that can also mean a lot of different things in ways that are organic to the identity of a religious member who doesn't even necessarily be a "healer"

>>7740078OP here. I genuinely love this idea and am totally tempted to steal it, but unfortunately it doesn't quite work for my current story.
