/ic/ what is your opinion on this?https://www.soloartcurriculum.com/
>>7741570Beg here, from my experience drawing you just have to stick with something and keep doing it. Theres no "perfect" curriculum, but as long as one gets you to draw and break you out of your comfort zone youre gmi.
>>7741570Just. Draw.
>>7741570thorough, probably good, but soul crushing and grindy.
>>7741570All seem like good courses, maybe too much overlap. I personally would do a dynamic sketching course instead of DrawaBox, shit you could even start with Scott Robertson's How To Draw instead.Honestly, just hire a tutor because doing video courses is one thing, getting critique is another thing.
not a single man on planet earth has made it to the end of this solo leveling curriculum and anyone telling you that they did is lying to your unwashed face and needs boiling cat shit thrown on their mother's face
>>7742018I was halfway through this and realized there's an updated version with less grinding and more focus on projects...
>>7742032Where is the updated version?
>>7742065https://archive.org/details/alex-huneycutts-curriculum-for-the-solo-artist-radio-runner
>>7742068wtf there is 4 versions of them wtf is even the updated one?
>>7742018The guy who made it didnt even finish 1/3 of it, but he is a professional now. Keep in mind he took a lot of online classes from CGMa and Brainstorm and is also good friends with Mdoerndayjames which is actually the most important thing you need to get hired which are connections
>>7742934wym 4, the link only has one, and it is the updated one.
>>7742946>good friends with Mdoerndayjames which is actually the most important thing you need to get hired which are connectionsTrue.
>>7742946based and Talmud-pilledthe guy is basically yet another youtube grifter making money from teaching and selling tuts - just needed that early boost from MDJ and off he goes into farming the endless hordes of clueless begsLike, not only is the guide unfinished (since ints aren't farmable) what the fuck has this guy actually done, professionally?
>>7743393This makes no sense. He's not selling anything besides the curriculum which he is also giving for free.
>>7743589there's 2 versions of the curriculum, the old one which he allegedly went through and posted to reddit, and the new updated so much gooder edition, which is 100% paid.
>>7743778no there is 4 versions-gumroad free one-gumroad paid one-website one-png one
>>7745637Why do artists follow curriculuns by nobodies? I'd rather follow one by a pro.
>>7745927It's close enough to curriculums of FZD/ArtsCenter/Gnomon, as long as it gets you to draw, its good.
>>7745946I'd rather follow their curriculum on their website than that amateur, even Marc Brunet stuff is far better, and he's a pro.
>>7746353it's been 5+ years and he still hasn't made term 10 nor updated the early scuffed ones like he said he would.
>>7746362It doesn't even matter. The thing you will learn about any of these schedules is that you won't ever complete any of them. At some point you'll stop following the guide and be competent enough to know what to focus on yourself then you'll be making your own schedule. This is something you only learn from regularly drawing for long hours with the intent to improve because eventually the guide doesn't fit you anymore, once you have your fundies down then it's time to specialize. Unless you're in an actual school that you or your parents or someone paid for, you will never follow these guides all the way through or even halfway.

>>7746353Solo Art Curriculum is based on his Curriculum
>>7746353Plenty of alternatives that are more specialized like Joe Kubert school curriculum that's aimed at capeshiters.
>>7746699tf business? Imaginative Writing? wtf is this
>>7746699I like how it includes the credit hours. 2775 hours so that's about a year if you're only putting in 8 hours a day, you'd get there faster if you put in more.
>>7746410tf this is about? can someone explain?
>>7746353is this good? i am a /beg/ i am thinking on buying this course
>>7747276wadad.aDwh rtvhwrh
>>7746722>business? Imaginative Writing? They probably added those 2 because of indie comics creators that do everything, including writing, promoting, selling them.
>>7747276The course is bloated garbage, you're unironically better off just watching his Youtube videos, they're basically the same content but a lot faster, and free.Watch this playlist instead of his terms:>https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzDE6rf7BxBIvFF2j8qHmThSCBv1ssvd7&si=VFQO6bbGSFEvU9wJ
>>7747719what
>>7746410bump
>>7741570should i do this? but my inner voice saying don't I hate structure plans. what should i do man my head hurt on thinking about it.
