Thus she becomes memorable and recognizable. But if character arc was fucked up people would have hated her. Basic designs are safe and managers/editors prefer safe stuff because it gives them minimum level of engagement and if the story is good enough it doesn't get in the way. Togashi can do whatever the fuck he wants because he is Togashi and is doing HxH for 27 years.

You could just redraw the same shapes and proportions to get your character - when you look at a lot of anime characters, many have that 'mouth muzzle' thing going on, or even a side mouth, which not only lowers cost, but is significantly easier to draw or animate (which is the reason it lowers costs).So I'm just guessing a character such as this is probably more difficult because she'd be quite different, not just from other jobs, from all other characters on the show because of her distinctive face and proportions (don't know what she's from though, so I'm assuming that's the case).
