I posted 3 pictures on hentai foundry and someone asked me for a commission the same day. I think it's still profitable. I don't intend to make a living out of the porn stuff, just something from the side, more for fun than anything. But I'm pretty sure I could if I wanted.The thing is that you need to stand out from the constant noise, creating your own job. Because I suck at networking and social media, I put all of my skills point in technique, to make sure that my technique alone would give me jobs, and it worked. But if you're good at these skills, you definitely need to utilize them. For me I just like painting, I would hate to manage a community.

Having to use social medias instead of art sites to post nsfw art taught me to really separate the artists from their arts, because holy fucking shit, a lot of artists with really cool art have really horrendous posting habits.Followed way too many artists that end up filling up my feed with hourly rant, suicide threat or rambling about useless shit I don't care about.

Where does one even begin if they wanna start posting on social media, I've been drawing for a while now and I think i'm comfortable enough with my art that I'll be happy with others seeing it. A lot of you guys are actually really good at art, but don't understand appeal at all. It's fine if you're purely a hobbyist, but if you want to make an income from your art your themes have to at least be accessible or pleasing to a fraction of the human population.
