I can not find anything like this or a tutorial on them online.
WTF is that?
Will this improve my drawing and I am talking about the comically big thing he is using not some little rubber that a search gives me.

A rubber grip just prevents you from hurting your finger. Think of death grip but instead of your penis, think about your pen or pencil

Noo full stop think about it.
1) more fingers = more control
2) The fingers are further away so every movement is more precise (leverage)

It helps with your grip so you can spend less effort gripping the pencil/pen and prevent carpal tunnel syndrome.
In short, thicker stick = less gripping force needed = less potential injury
> Will this improve my drawing
If anything, it makes you worse since you have to get used to a thicker-sized pen. Until you get used to it

Just how hard are you people squeezing your tools... jesus. Aren't you worried about breaking them?

YES.

I remember back in school all the art teachers telling us we should never use a ruler when making art. One of the biggest lies they told us.

using new tools will improve drawing- or at least give a different perspective that not using that tool would. Just seeing a G-pen in action can change how you use it in your digital art program.

i dont have a picture and i wont find one but theres a video of Murata drawing a page for OPM with a pen nib ducktaped to a literal stick from outside

Usually thicker tools makes me grip them harder for some reason. The best thing for me is a fine and light pencil or brush.
That said maybe shape has something to do with it. Copic classics and ciaos both feel better in my hand than sketch.

FUN fact I researched early toy sculpting or was it sculpting faces into coins and it turns out they used some form of leverage where they sculpted a gigantic face in plaster or something and then used some leverage based mechanism to transfer it into a metal form that is the actual coil size.

Are you thinking about something like that?

Foam grip tubing. It's an aid for people with impaired grip.
