https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCCHOzg3GS8This is proof you can become pro from zero in 1 year.tl:dw he just copied stuff for like 200 days before realizing he can't actually draw and then realized he needed to actually study fundamentals and improved massively after learning planes of the head, anatomy and values etc.so you can do it even faster than 1 year

Yes, of course. But WILL you? That's always the real issue. He was being highly industrious on his own development and highly active.
>>7902744>massivelyYou're kidding right? Kid must have a serious case of dunning-krueger retardation if he thinks that looks good.

>>7902814Hey crabjeet, you gonna post your work to show us what your standard for good looks like? :)

>>7902889Is there another way you should be using?
>>7902744Why do you guys keep falling for these obvious grifts?>I did [x] for 30 days and INSTANTLY IMPROVED>Stop doing lineart! Do THIS instead!>I QUIT learning fundamentals and THIS happened!>THIS is why you're NOT IMPROVING>THE ONE SECRET pro artists DON'T want you to know about!
>>7902902Cause looking for shortcuts sounds easier than actually committing
>>7902902because it's obvious when something like that is fake, and if you watch his progress it's clear he didn't know jackshit about drawing in the first videoyou can't fake drawing badly like a beginner would if you already know how to draw, it would be immediately obvious
>>7902909I could draw like a beg. All I'd have to do is use my weak hand and not try.
>>7902898no
>>7902902Drawing is going through the same bullshit lifting used to go through.
looks AI photobashed
>>7902898If you’re gonna symbol draw just do it. There’s no point in worrying about lines that guide form if the result is flat.
>>7902744The secret sauce is to stop posting your shitty figures in /beg/.
>>7902744Anticonstructoids permanently and irrevocably raped
>>7902744Why does this guy sound like Bernie from Sesame Street?
>>7903084why? isnt it good to get critique from people there who are more experienced and better?ofc a real school/tutor would be the best but for people who only have the internet to use for their frugal art study, seems like a nice anonymous place to level up
>>7902744>protop kek
>>7902744his stupid voice sounds so joyful and he's obviously having fun and trying oh i envy him
>>7903279It's easy to be joyful when you lucked into gigatalent
>>7903279he is enjoying drawing so much it made him wanna grift on youtube for a few dollars
>>7902744can't this guy teach that other youtuber I only discovered because of /ic/?
>>7902744>every single drawing was a copy>prodo begs really
>>7903286Talent doesn't exist. He just managed to find the secret formula for drawing. Which is the best kept secret from begs. You need to suffer until you eventually find it out yourself, we're not gonna spoon feed you.
>>7903333>open video>draws most stuff in second part from imagination after realizing he was copying too much and literally talks about ityou really think you can just go on the internet and tell lies?
>>7903340there is no formula, he's just been drawing for hours every single day and analyzing his drawings to see what went wrong and what needed to be improved and then studied those fundamentals and did more drawingthat's literally what we've been spoonfeeding everyone here in every sticky for 20 years
>>7902744>anime shit in an empty voidwhat a le pro
>>7902744can't deny this is good progress but the man still can't draw for shit, he's mostly learned how to render ie turd polish
>>7903286It's not talent. He just has a shitload of free time so he can improve faster than the average working adult. Probably comes from a rich family so his "work" is occasionally helping out with the family business and he just draws whenever he's not doing that.
>>7903378i mean it looks indistinguishable from what the japanese pros in the industry post on twitter and get millions of viewsso what does it matter?
Excuses excuses and some more excuses. Typical. Something always gets in the way of the permabeg faggots here
>>7903286>genetic memory of form and value acquired through reading a fucking book
>>7903286He isn't talented he even tells you clearly how he's improving/has improved. You can see his studies in the video. All that combined with his blatantly good attitude which manifests as a willingness to press on and keep going even if your art is Cris Chan tier means he improves.
>>7903352>draws most stuff in second part from imaginationpost a single draw he did from imagination in that video
>>7903378Constructoid bros...
>>7903022The ol' natty or not? We're gonna have Derek from MorePlatesMoreDates talk about this guy's art journey while using scientific pharmacology terms?
>>7903179>people there who are more experienced and better?See, this is were we immediately hit a bit of a snag.
>>7903587>The ol' natty or not?A bit of that too, with some people pretending that they've been drawing for less time than they really have. But it reminds me more of the old Athlean-X strategy of "[X] IS KILLING YOUR GAINS", with [X] being a stand-in for any teaching method in this case. It's a similar type of strategy, claiming that everyone else is wrong, lying to you or doing it wrong on purpose and then you make a video where you misrepresent or use the technique poorly to discredit it.Maybe we'll have our own version of Derek. MoreBarguePlatesMoreDates or something to that effect.
>detailed renderingnot my goal, looks like shit>took him 1 year just to draw slop>dont just copy! do le fundieshow the fuck am i supposed to study fundamentals when they suck the joy of drawing whenever i fucking do them and confuse me, what the fuck am i supposed to study anyway? its so fucking unfocused. the worst things this guy has drawn is still better than what i could do. fuck my life.
>>7903639Literally just copy things you likeThen when you get tired of parts looking like shit do a few studies on itthen copy more shit
>>7902786No, you don't understand!! I have other hobbies and interests besides drawing!! I can't give up everything just so I can draw, I want to get good without any effort!!
>>7902744she's got some ayy lmao fingers
He linked a playlist in the description. This is like hitting the jackpot for a beg like me
>>7903870I ve read through this thread and im really wondering, are these replies botted or what the fuck
>>7902744>i learned to draw in 1 year>look inside>anime girl portraits for 365 days>still /beg/ at drawing portraits from life
>>7903969>NOOOO YOU MUST DRAW REALISM He wanted to draw anime so he drew anime. Why is it so hard to understand that some people want nothing to do with realism
>>7903981OP said "pro" and not everyone wants to draw anime girlsif you say that you learned to draw anime girls in a year then yea, my point means nothing but this dude said he taught himself to draw (general) in a year even though he still couldn't draw anything but anime girl portraits
>>7903981You're not higher than /int/ if you can't draw anything non-anime, not necessarily realism though
Sure, because talent exists. I know it hurts to hear, but two different people doing the same thing for the same amount of time will often have different, oftentimes wildly different, results. That's not to say you can't improve, you can, but it might take you years to achieve what another person can do in a year, and it's also entirely possible that they will reach a level within a year that you might never reach with a lifetime of practice. Just look at any entertainment field, how there are professionals who consistently produce better books/movies/illustrations/animations than others. It isn't always because the less skilled ones don't care or aren't trying, their brains are simply not wired in a way to produce things of a higher quality than their current output. They're still pros who bust ass at their craft, they just aren't as good at it.I don't mean to go full doomer, just don't let people who do crazy things in a short period of time set your expectations. Maybe you will be one of them, you won't know unless you try, just know that you could just as easily be one of those people who is still struggling with wrapping your brain around the fundamentals years from now, producing work that would still get you labeled as a permabeg.
this guy and similar art youtubers like him have such a stick up their ass "look how much i """improved""" in one year!! If i can do it you can too!! Im so proud of myself" your drawings still fucking suck and mine are even worse. fuck you.
>>7902744>he had a time where he felt like he was improving with every drawing, even when he was "justdrawing"Is that what it feels like to have talent? In my roughly 2 decades of drawing, I've never once experienced a period of time where I felt or could see improvement from piece to piece, I can only notice it after looking back over the course of years (and even then, I'll find a piece I drew years ago which looks on-par with what I draw now).
>>7904820I don't think thats the point. At least not of that video. It's pretty clear he isn't a top tier artist, but in 1 year he got to level where drawing stops being a drag with people shitting on you to "hey, that looks nice".
>>7903179>more experienced and better
>>7905631Yeah, and to make progress that quickly gives you motivation and proof that you're capable of rapid improvement. Nothing is more of a beatdown than investing the time and mental energy only for things to not get easier and not make appreciable progress. To be able to look at things you drew just a few months ago and see meaningful, objective, and obvious progress, not just "well if you look at it this way and that way, then yeah I'm pretty sure this new piece is kinda a little bit better!" must be an experience like nothing else.
