It's anatomically incorrect, especially because children have big cheeks and the cheek to chin transition is weird, but it could be some weird style choice like many anime have.If you make heads too big, just count the head to body ratio and adjust accordingly. How many heads tall your characters are depends on your style.

I really wish I could draw but I've been bedridden from a car accident and I've lost all motor function in my dominant hand ever since. The hospital bills alone put me in massive debts and I can't afford the painkiller medication so I am in constant pain every day and I struggle to even change the bandages so they don't get infected(this step will continue for the next months) Basically posting in this site is my source of distraction from the endless pain.
