Do you think art based on beauty has been superceded? Because everything has been done before for a long time to a great degree of perfection. Same way how making classical music is useless due to Bach existing. Another argument is that AI renders art=beauty useless since it can produce great art already (or will be able to). If you ask contemporary artists they will say that it's too simple and has no message. Can it even compete with contemporary art? As much as one can shit on contemporary art, there's a reason why figurative art is dead, and we can't just blame the jews or cultural degradation (although the latter maybe). Can figurative art bring something new and majestic to the table, or will it just be lifelessly repeating history? Does it even need to do something new or is that just appealing to the masses (i.e if you were christian you wouldn't wait for christianity 2.0 because it's innovative, but I suppose art is supposed to be creative, hence why you could look down on tradition to some extent.)

no

>cultural degradation
that's the core issue. this is how all civilizations evolve, they eventually die out, conquered and, or, by rotting. because we're for the most part of a "global" civilization, it's unlikely we get conquered.

hence we "just" have to wait for something to grow from the rot, simple as.

look, beauty requires contemplation, time and space to be appreciated. who has the time for such a thing today? until society slows down greatly, appreciation of beauty will hardly rise

I believe it changed forms and is now spread to the masses through other means like comics and videogames.

Take capeshit for example, it shows larger than life people with a perfect physique doing heroic stuff and preaching morals the common man should aspire to, they even draw them according to heroic proportions : Superman is generally 10 heads tall by 4 heads wide, for example, the guy is built like a statue of Hercules.

Now maybe you'll tell me it's all been subverted by the Jews to promote communism and racemixing, sure, but it's still the closest we have to those old paintings and statues.

Beauty and ugliness both have a place in art but apparently that's a hot take that will get me called a communist and a jew
