So what, respect to the people who pick up the pencil, but absolute disdain for those who wish that others would do it too?
One of those emotions isn’t genuine.

TO BECOME A MASTER, YOU MUST PAY THE TAX OF TIME. YOU ARE LITERALLY TRADING YOUR LIFE AWAY TO BECOME A MASTER OF A SKILL. DO YOU ALL UNDERSTAND? TIME IS THE ONLY RESOURCE YOU CAN NEVER REPLENISH. THOSE WHO DEDICATE THEMSELVES TO MASTERY, MUST NOT DO IT FOR THE GLORY. MUST NOT DO IT FOR THE END RESULT. YOU MUST DO IT, BECAUSE IT IS YOUR REASON FOR EXISTING.

Thats nice, now ask that same permabeg how many hours they clocked on stream and see how full of shit these people are.
>>
>>7945948
I mean that guy is right that becoming a (good) artist is not just a casual thing. Telling a rando to pick up a pencil isn't genuine advice or anything. It's just a safe way of saying "Fuck you" to people who will probably never become an artist
>>
How many hours do you people actually put into drawing a week. Not just mindless doodling. Like actively trying to get better by studies, trying out poses/topics that are uncomfortable? Like actually be honest with yourselves. Cause everyone says they try hard, but do they really?
>>
Me? I never really studied once in my life but i also don't complain about my lack of skill
I know that once i take this shit seriously and sit my ass down, i might just stop being interested in drawing since there is actually no point for me to get good
>>
>>7945948
Sure honing the craft to a high level is a sacrifice but, once again, that's advice for people who are too paralyzed by indecision to even start and give themselves the chance to see if they're interested in art at all. It's not, "pick up a pencil and the good art is inevitable", it's "pick up a pencil and fuck around, see how you like it" there's a good chance someone will find something in-between nodraw and 10k hours of sacrifice that they're happy to achieve.
>>
>>7945948
Yeah, not everyone can pick up the pencil, and not everyone can become an artist, so what's their point? You can't become muscular if you don't do the work.
Is this some dipshit argument for using AI?
>>
They just draw because it's fun. They don't practice because that's work and anti-fun. They are not trying to improve but it's still happening because they keep on drawing while having fun.
>>
>>7945966
You will never understand how hard and frustrating it is to not understand a concept after reviewing it 20 times and putting the effort into it. Spending weeks and hours of your life to draw and still dont improve.
>>
>>7946153
If you’re having fun you’re not developing fast enough and will be stuck a permabeg.

DO YOU SEE NOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT?
>>7946214
I do, hold on.
>>
>>7946175
which concept? feel your way through and make something you think looks good, then go back and review form and rendering, perspective, etc. you are just too hard on yourself
>>
>>7946175
You could potentially feel frustrated about not understanding something, but if you observe some 60 iq retard turbo niggers they are not very often annoyed at their lack of comprehension.
There's every reason to suspect that you don't like or care about what you're trying to do and that your subconscious is preventing you from wasting your effort on it, and the frustration is a result of you forcing yourself into it regardless of how much you hate it.
Legitimately why can't you just relax even if you don't understand something, just like all the other abysmal dimwits?

i do know, you just fold under pressure and frustration. its called growing pains. do you know that every birth comes with immense suffering? most mothers will tell you its worth it anyway. man up and stop crying so damn much. endure the suffering, thats what life is all about.

nta, but I think you're mistaking weakness for just a complete lack of aptitude. We don't call them /permabeg/ for nothing. They are permanently like that, you can't fix it, they can't fix it. Something about them innately or their upbringing means they are just totally and irrevocably fucked.

But that being said, I think the main problem is that these people continue to bash their heads against drawing instead of trying literally anything else.
>>
>>7946363
thats every board now, worse on the popular ones. anything for engagement
>>
>>7946365
they havent suffered enough in life to know that drawing is a piece of cake compared to most of the shit out there.
>>
>>7946365
fags are perma/beg/s because they draw only for only 30 mins every few fucking months, anon. Unless you're some super autismo, then that's the only fucking reason on why.
>>
>>7945948
no one is asking you to spend 16 hours a day grinding. Instead of spending your 2-4 hours of actual free time on media consumption after work.
What about spending half of it learning how drawing? We are talking about a few weeks to see notable improvements. Imagine how much better you be if you keep this up for a year.
>>
>>7946367
I mean, not really? But it's definitely one of the cheaper hobbies.

Programming on a hobby level is really fucking easy.

Playing most instruments is pretty easy, people can usually play basic songs on day one.

They could just get really good at watching anime or some shit, I dunno.

There are a million other hobbies that are way way easier.

Even mild autismos have a really hard time with creative skills. I used to know this girl, completely normal in every other regard, obsessed with art, drew several hours per day, every day - had the most dogshit art I've ever seen. And not like, subjectively bad, like actually incompetent dogshit. Some people just aren't made for it.

It’s a superiority/inferiority thing at the end of the day, putting down begs is not necessary after you come to terms with your inner beg
>>
>>7946435
This looks fine. The book is a bit thick, but the general dpace and perspective look believable. How long have you been drawing?
>>
>>7946435
the point is you are supposed to do this over and over and get better each time.

every time people say they tried hard they draw something ONCE and keep erasing and fixing it and get frustrated that its not good.

YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DRAW DOZENS OF THEM QUICKLY AND THROW THEM AWAY AFTER EXAMINING THEM
>>

About 8 months
>>
>>7946660
That's not terrible granted you're not actively taking lessons or something.
>>
>>7946660
8 months is a short amount of time to become a good artist. You're doing fine.

For autismos in the thread from an autismo who painfully learned how to draw the hard way:

>you're supposed to grind lots of shapes and forms during your first month because before you draw from life, you need to recall the pieces that make up simple cuboid/spherical objects
>you need to make Active Recall (the Cognitive Method) a daily thing you do and draw from memory
>you need to do a shit ton of blind contours and gesture studies
>you need to copy from photographs constantly and break references down into shapes and forms
>you need to do negative space drawings and use the envelope method
>you need to trace meaningfully (don't just fucking do the outlines, actually pay attention to how the reference comes together)
>you need to use a marker on glass to break down simple cuboid/spherical and live references into forms (like anon's cup and pencil holder)
>you need to draw stuff you love and want to see (so you don't get burnout or lose motivation)

The reason why drawing doesn't come naturally to many autistic people is because autistic brains are typically wired for math, writing and reading, science, etc. 2D stuff which is why a lot of autistic people tend to be rather prominent in mathematical careers and if they're in artistic careers, non-drawing ones.

Artists are usually people on the dyslexia spectrum since dyslexia results in brains that think in 3D.

A lot of permabegs exist because for a few reasons:

>they're usually pretty bad at self-teaching themselves to begin with
>they're often met with a bunch of vague advice
>they quickly succumb to learned helplessness if something isn't natural for them
>they get too fixated on being a "great artist" without really seeing how much work and time it takes or getting comfortable with failure as part of the growth process

The hard truth behind drawing is that you are sculpting but with a pencil and paper within two-dimensional space. The same learning methods behind sculpting with clay or sculpting digitally apply to drawing.
