Do you guys also look at amazing pieces from the pre-digital (or at least predominantly trad) era and also think "How?".
It’s pure skill plus maybe drawing everything on separate pieces of paper then gluing it together
>>7963934pure skill yes, they used masking fluid, no need to collage anything
>>7963947ok? go suck their dick or something
>>7963985What the fuck nigger
>>7963985calm down
>>7963925>Do you guys also look at amazing pieces from the pre-digital (or at least predominantly trad) era and also think "How?".I used to when I was a /beg/ like you. But now that I'm a mid /int/, I go like>Holy shit look at that error>Ohhh is that water color /mixed media?>I could totally draw this, I need to try it out.So yeah, you're gay.
>>7963985this kid is so mad lol
>>7964053PYW real quick
>>7964053you know the drill, pyw
>>7963925This is literally just line and color with some very light specular shading, there's nothing mystifying, if you find the cleanliness of the linework and color shapes impressive thats mostly just painter's tape and rulers, some of these might've been freehanded but I doubtNow picrel being done in trad is what you should be actually mystified by
>>7964431I don't find that particularly interesting to be honest.
>>7963925What coloring material is used here? Acrylics and watercolor?
>>7964455>What coloring material is used here? all of them, even aribrush, bro used everything sans gesso
>>7964454Subject matter-wise it's not very interesting I would tend to agree but from a technical craftsmanship standpoint there's an ocean-wide gap between that and OP
>>7964431I actually find Eyvind Earle's process to be very intuitive and compelling. It's a very systematic process of going from dark silhouettes to colorful and textured flourishes. It's because it isn't mystifying that his work is so nicely serigraphed.
>>7964456How can you tell?
>>7964481I don't see any particular evidence in this piece specifically that he was using an airbrush. Picrel is another work of his which does show the characteristics of airbrushing though. Notice the extremely subtle reflected purple in darker areas of the stockings. For what it's worth, I believe the piece in the OP was made using a combination of watercolor, acrylic gouache, and ink.
>>7964502Actually, I'll retract this. I can see the same gradation and subtlety that's characteristic of airbrushing in the OP. It's especially prominent in the mecha.
I honestly can’t find anything about this Hirohumi Nakamura guy. Google just keeps giving me op’s pic >>7963925 .
>>7964530Probably because it's Hirofumi Nakamura.
>>7964502source please?
>>7964547It is from Hirofumi Nakamura's "Himekurige" art book, which you can find scans of easily enough online.
>>7964553i cant find a gallery though? you are being a bitch
>>7964735I blame pajeets and AI grift for ruining google search.
>>7964735Are people just no longer aware of the site where basicly everything is uploaded?
>>7964738i asked because i cant find those specific illustrations on the sites where "everything is uploaded"
>>7964533his environments and rendering are extremely appealing but i gotta say that foot looks fucked
>>7964743Just search for Himekurige and it will show up
i tried another search engine and found a galleryfuck google
>>7964735It genuinely did not occur to me that most people still use Google, I'm sorry. It's up on most hentai doujinshi sites as far as I can tell.https://e-hentai.org/g/275353/6cf52ba449/
>>7964747Well, drawing appealing feet is a mastery of its own so don't be too hard on the dude. On a side note, while I was looking for more stuff from this guy I stumbled on this cover for an old game and fell in love with the watercolor work in it. Look at the headlight on that motorcycle, unf, pure sexo.
>>7964738Zoomers are pathetic
>>7964738People don't even know of image search anymore. Anytime any image or clip shows up on twitter etc. you have dozens of people asking for source when they could just right click/tap and hold to use lens
It's strategy.(And its still strategy.)
