>When you realize the "Just Draw" niggas were right all along and you could've already been at high int tier by now if you had started earlier with any course/book and a cheap tablet
>>7971120“Just draw” in a vacuum is pretty terrible advice that doesn’t work. There are MANY people who have been hardstuck permabeg for years because they “just draw” aimlessly with no goal in mind, so they never fix their mistakes and they never learn anything. Improving at art requires conscious effort, it doesn’t happen automatically with mileage.
"Just draw" is a litmus testif you're just a slop eating pig not even a 200 step tutorial on how to breathe will fix your dumb ass
>>7971120prove it
>>7971181They exist!!!! Anybody can make it to high int!! They just give up far too easily!!! It takes effort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>>7971145I'm a drawlet so OP should take my advice with a big grain of salt but to avoid being the guy you describe, and also avoid being the fags on here who put out two pieces a year and hate their mediocrity so much it paralyses them (me), the main two things an artist needs to actually break free and make it are>the acceptance that you'll suck for a long time and the ability to keep going regardless>enough self-awareness that you can recognise your flaws and actively work on correcting themOf course the problem is the modern internet has fried everyone's dopamine receptors and given themselves an endless pool of top-tier artists to compare themselves to and despair that they aren't that good as a newfag at 21 years old, so very, very few people now are able to accept that and keep going
I think the main issue is that people can have a very dishonest interpretation of it since "just draw' is vague enough. "Just draw" technically means you can "Just draw" Lines all day long and nothing else. This doesn't make the advice bad, it just makes the interpretation very obviously smart-assey and dishonest. There's a very clear and obvious nuance to the advice, deliberating in which would require an essay. posting my work just cause, I'm not great but I think I've provided decent enough insight
Reminder that one says "just draw" they mean to counter the nodraws mentality, not to incentivize aimlessly drawing.
why do you litter the catalog with this ugly ass nigger that has nothing to do with drawingevery time I refresh the catalog to see if the threads about drawing have new replies I'm greeted by this ugly brown abominationyou stupid fucking bitch

>>7971120"Just draw" is the filter. It's literally all you need to tell someone. You can't convince someone into striving or trying to get better. It's something they need to want and desire. Most people aren't here aren't looking for guidance or what to do next, they just recognize the work that's required to get to where they want, and are constantly looking for the "magic secret". The people who get it will look at "just draw" far differently than someone who takes "just draw" at face value. It's THE ultimate filter.
>>7971293pre/beg/s would rather be racist on the internet than just drawing.NGMI
>>7971306That's why you draw AND be racist

Im trying to get better at baseball! Dont tell me to just play baseball! It would be pointless to play a bunch of baseball without understanding the mechanics and ideas behind the game. Im looking for the right book that will actually TEACH me how to play. Ive also been browsing a bunch of video courses but im not sure which one is relevant for the kind of baseball I want to eventually play. Does anyone know of a good brand of mitt? Ive been watching a bunch of mitt reviews from the pros - but im not sure which one works with my style of baseball. I really want to improve my skills but im stuck! I havent played in like 2 years. Thanks guys!

>>7971316This comes from this weird mentality people have where they don't want to "waste" a single second doing the "wrong" thing. So they waste a shit load of time trying to figure out how to optimize everything. But it probably comes from a general aversion to discomfort. Also probably fear of failure.
>>7971306You can’t make truly great art if you’re not racist
>>7971316People like you want to offload the process of self teaching onto someone else, FOR FREE. You have a brain, you can figure it out if they figured it out. If you really don't want to put in the effort to start asking the right questions why the fuck should people go out of their way to figure out specifically what it is you want? I'm going to tell people like you just draw until the end of time until you start actually asking questions that show you've put some thought into what it is you're asking you lazy fuck face. Just draw.Just draw.Just draw.Just draw.Just draw.
Just drawing is the hardest things about art but it's far from everything
