In latam it's one of the lesser known kokorean brands, I've never seen one and I don't think they even sell them in my country. What other lesser known car brands you think are intetesting?
>>196482607I think they went bankrupt and Mahindra bought their IP?
>>196482607>DaewooBasically the same as Lada. You only see one or two per year. Very rare, nobody wants one, not sold officially.
>>196482607haven't seen any since 1999. I think they got the Y2K problem or something.
>>196482607do you know about Dacia over there?they are pretty cool for their cost (only chinese cars are cheaper)
>>196482607Funny enough I've seen a couple of these (Nubira and Lanos) pop up this month for sale. The resale value is terrible however, as they were never popular.
Daewoooooos have been made in Poland when Gooks bought the bankrupt remains of FSO in 1995, after which Daewoo Motors promptly went bankrupt and sold its rotting corpse to General Motors. They've been good cars for Poland in the 90s.Dogshit quality, dogshit materials, no features, somewhat decent engines sourced from GM, low price and easy to maintain.
i worked in their eu headquater and resigned.couldnt stand their crap and i tell everybody not to get any of their cars!
>>196482607Complete failure to sell these shitboxes, daewoo kalos or something like that makes lada to look like a mercedes.
>>196484022Renault used to sell these cars in Brazil.
>>196484618wow, didn't know they got bought up by Renault
>>196484932Modern dacias has been renaults always, well also old dacias from commie era were lincesed renaults before they got bought
>>196484932wutdacia has been the "cheap renault" since like 2004, dacia to renault is what skoda is to volkswagen.
>>196484618>>196484932Dacia cars are sold with Renault badging in the third world.Allows for jacked up prices in the names of French brand. Cars are not bad though.
>>196482607Only sold for several years in the late 90s/early 2000s and was considered a flop. Much like Renault in the 80s or Fiat in the 2010s.
>>196484932The Brazilian government has forced all European and American automakers to open as autonomous Brazilian headquarters. So VW is Brazilian VW and so on. Then some strange things happened, for example Brazilian Chevrolet sold Suzuki's GrandVitara as another car in Brazil. There have been a lot of exclusive Brazilian versions with bizarre engines from other manufacturers of various cars in Brazil.
>>196484932>>196485173Also,https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_do_BrasilPresident Lula is directly involved with VW do Brasil.
>>196485279>Volkswagen Golbased
>>196485339My father had a 1.0 square gol. KEK
>>196484932In the end of the day It's all stellantis anyway.
>>196485602>stellantisyou mean vanguard
>>196482607Original Dacias are nonexistent except for the 1300 series imported in the 90s because Renault produces Dacia models under their main Renault brand now
>>196484022Renault sells Dacia models with the Renault logo in south america.
>>196482607I have seen a few. They look like a complete shitbox but now I'm interested in knowing if they are reliable and how big are the engines probably not a single one with +2l right?
