This seems to be true from what I've heard. It's annoying when I want to buy a game on GoG and I assume the dev seems to have his hands tied and not allowed to offer a discount unless its on discount on Steam or even a lower price. For example no steam workshop on GoG could the dev sell the game for $1 or $2 less there or would they get kicked from Steam which is a bigger ecosystem? Considering Steams recent and explicit ToS update about you not owning your games, it makes me kek how people said otherwise in the past. Imagine Steam gets sold out and you lose access to all those games.

Streamcucks will never stop of surprise me. Why are the defending a company that forces game devs to not offer lower prices outside of Steam or they'll kick off that company from Steam? This means that prices for games and DLCs are higher than they otherwise would be while Steam collects 30% on every sale while doing very little actual work.

Valve is a very abusive company just like Amazon (which does the exact same thing) and it adds little to no value to the world (you could argue that it adds negative value). The EU is way too soft on these abusive companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Value, Facebook... These companies add little to no value and break the law all the time. They know that they'll have to pay the fines when they break the law but they don't care because they make more money breaking the law. The EU should just ban all of these companies.

I don't think that's true. I've seen games selling for cheaper than they're listed on steam. Ubisoft games in particular.

Steam's ToS (or rather the whatever guidelines for devs) forbid giving better deals elsewhere when distributing steam keys. This is because you're still using steam's infrastructure to distribute the game, but attempting to get around steam's fees (because you can generate as many keys as you want and steam doesn't see a penny from them). There are games that cost money on steam but are free on itch.
