The Israelis in question were all high on MDMA and sucking popsicles, generally less rude than they usually are, not very subtle about talking to me for two minutes before asking me for free cannabis. There was one guy who made me feel ill at ease, shirtless with a sweaty belly, greasy long hair, stomping his feet to every second beat, pulling his tongue, he looked possessed, giving very "other" vibes, only time in my life that I regretted taking LSD. Spending time around people who treat local staff like servants at a place that is cheap even to locals was weird. Who the fuck sneaks in beer from the shop at a restaurant to save the equivalent of 40 cents USD? Israelis, that's who.

I don't think I have ever met an Israeli face to face.I am not sure if I have ever met an actual Jew that self identified as a Jew.I have met people with Jewish ancestry or people I have suspected having Jewish ancestry based on surnames and weird family circumstances.I am not sure if any "local" jews actually exist here anymore, that whole little thing that happened in 1940s, but also because one would imagine most of them nepomigrated themselves to greener pastures the first chance they got.So most "Jews" here are "Rusjews" and because they are russophones, even though I live in Riga, I don't encounter in my day to day life.The point is, people over here don't really market themselves as being Jewish if they are one.And the tricks that work in the West where someone having an out of place Polish or German name being a sign doesn't work here because half of all Latvians have out of place Polish and German sounding names.There is some young actor with the name "Gerds Lapoška" (Gerd Laposhka), he looks like a certified hebrew.There is a local oligarh with the name "Aivars Lembergs", people say he is of the mercantile descent.Some other politicians get accused by the public of being members of a certain tribe, but nothing definitive.A pro-russian whore, "Tatjana Ždanoka", is an example of a ruskike, but she gets dragged for being a subversive russian asset more so than being JewishMaybe I just notice it, besides scamming our government out of 40 millies a decade ago for "moral compensation over lost properties as a result of Holocaust" (o algo),Jewishness is not something is front and center here. We talk more about foreign Jews fucking everything up than local ones.They obviously exist and I am sure people that try to do business have a much more different experience with local jews, but over all you just don't see them.Basically, I don't know.
