4chan is reddit but you can say slurs.
Reddit is one of the worst websites when it comes to general discussion, because users with opinions that don't conform to the majority are de facto banned by participating in communities, thanks to the karma system. If I were to join reddit and mention my opinion on some echo-chamber like r/Italy or r/Italia, I would get instantly mass downvoted to -100 points and I'd be automatically banned from half the site.
They're both awful in their own way. The only way to use reddit is to discuss niche topics and the only way to use 4chan is to (mostly) shitpost. It really is a shame that dedicated forums on topics went the way of the dodo and all that we have left are these websites that try to do everything but do none of it very well. This place suffers from a non existant barrier of entry and a weak punishment for low quality posts whereas reddit has the echo chamber problem (which desu so many fucking forums did and people always conveniently forget that)

Oftentimes I find myself following the thread trying to discern what the actual thing I'm looking for is, then I realize it's a bunch of cringe fucking faggots competing for upvotes and go take another source and take a shower.
