Have you ever played Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines in your country?
>>220782130couldn't get past china town i got bored
Yeah, with two extra years of development it could have been twice as good imo
>>220782193Yeah so much things to explore.I play it every week lol.
>>220782130I hate how mamy cult classics were made in the past back when the gaming audience was small and their possible audience low meaning they and any possible sequels were doomed to failure if these games had just been released 20 years later they would've been huge successes such a waste of potentially amazing games. Because the gaming audience at the time took games like this for granted
Yes, rolled a Ventrue and finished the game.
>>220782130Brujah all the way. I hear Malk is fun af to play tho.
>>220782330I don't think a game like that can even be done todayI feel that because the audience was low they needed to put more effort into it
>>220782130Yes, I finished it, I remember the first half of the game being really good and the second one being kinda shit
>>220782130Yeah, Ventrve. I still have to play modded but the scene seems dead sadly
>>220782339>>220782333My first game was with a GangrelI answered the question are and it ended up Gangrel lol. Guess it fits, being lonely and all
>>220782330The market allowed for it though, which is why most big games these days follow the goyslop formula/trends or are just straight up remakes.
>>220782384Second is basically combat, which isn't what most people expect from a game that you can put dots on haggle lol
>>220782330Games were also developed by less people. Sometimes you had games made by 7 people. Who could poop out a new game every year. And as long as they could afford 7 wages things could keep going.
>>220782398>The market allowed for it thoughDid it though?Literally all these studious went under
Toreador best clan
>>220782511Toreador are the weakest, most pathetic clan of the children of caine
>>220782130My first playthrough of this was a Brujah shooter. Quickly maxed out my superspeed as soon as possible which turned out to be a good choice since that shit carried me throughout the game especially in the boss fights like the werewolf and the Chinese demon. I folded to Nine's charisma and joined his faction in the end.
>>220782589I went autarkis, but felt I should've joined the anarchs because I owed them
>>220782130LARPd malk stealth charisma prostitute with cop outfit. Game was good but then Andrei, the bitch a the hotel, and the other tzimisce in the sewers facerolled me because they are bullet sponges and if you dont have high damage you are softlocked. Had to use cheats to beat last boss.Sourceslop
>>220782130Yes... I played when life was goodNow life bad
>>220782130yes and every wod game since then has sucked, no pun intendedmaybe this upcoming hunter game will finally break the curse, but I wouldn't bet on it
>>220782130Yes. I beat it last year with the unnoficial patch.Very kino.Played as a Ventrue.
>>220782130No but I've played Arcanum
>>220783341Everything's bad now
I don’t play trannyslop
>>220782130Yes, as Ventrue, Malk, Tremere, half the game as a Nosferatu and some of the way through as Brujah. Both original and Unofficial patch. Ending of it was a bit of a let down after the majority of the game but over-all I loved it. Even did some challenge runs.
>>220783358>reverse search>only result is this threadWhere'd you get that pic?
>>220784919He must've drawn it himself
Not yet, where can I get it?
>>220782535They have Celerity and Presence, arguably two of the strongest disciplines. Only the Brujah have a stronger set of disciplines imo.
Yes, I'm also an oWoD lore autist and spent countless hours reading the books, despite only playing the tabletop a few times
How bad is the sequel?
>>220782130Haven't in a decade, but I listen to Schafer's OST at least once a month
>>220785393I'm quote Xaviar
>>220785522>I'm also an oWoD lore autist and spent countless hours reading the booksLiterally me. Only books I haven't read are those that are rare as fuck that you can find anywhereI used to spend hours daydreaming about being a tzimisce feudal lord o algo asi
>>220785393I once created a headcanon with a tzimisce clan with presence, vicissitude and animalism.
>>220782130No, seems like shit
>>220786056who hurt you?
>>220786147It objectively seems like shit. Cranky RPG with edgy reddit tumblr dialogues and le cuss words and le naked women.
yes one of my favorite games of all time
started replaying it yesterday lolI forgot how tacked on and unfinished the UI is, fallout new vegas spoiled us with the pipboy
>>220782130>Brujah>Low humanity, low INT, low WIS, no social skillsyep. it's gamer time.
>>220787394>playing an edgy leftoid on my vidyaPass
>>220785522>the Camarilla vampires secretly rule the world!>no, it's actually Pentex werewolves that secretly rules the world!>no wait, it is actually the Technocracy mages that secretly rules the world!how do you cope with the lore being so convoluted and contradictory between the different splats?
>>220787442Brujah aren't inherently aligned with any specific political views. They'll pick any cause and go full retard with it. One of the older books had a set-up for playing as a skinhead Brujah. More specifically for Bloodlines, to can tell the Anarchs to eat a dick and stick with LaCroix to the very end. Or the Kuei-Jin lmao
>>220785845do you mean the godawful travesty made by the walking simulator studio or the real Bloodlines sequel with actual rpg mechanics and a custom character creator that isn't out yet?
>>220782130NopeNot yet>that feel when you will never get a goth gf
>>220787503>the real Bloodlines sequel with actual rpg mechanics and a custom character creator that isn't out yet?Wait, there will be another one?Or do you mean the game passed on Hunter?
>>220786161It is a relic from a different time
>>220787532I mean hunter, the developer says its mostly inspired by Bloodlines 1it even uses a similar dots point system
>>220787469oWoD lore is intentionally written in an ambiguous manner, the books say it over and over. In-universe explanation is that the members of various splats and conspiracies only know a fraction of the truth, and have very limited and biased views of each other and the universe. When you're dealing with centuries of history of secretive cults and magic society things tend to get blurry.Out of universe explanation is that oWoD lore functions more as a series of hooks to create your own stories, rather than something set in stone to simply follow as law. You get a bunch of rumors, urban legends, myths, and conspiracy theories and pick which ones you think are cool to be true, and throw out the ones you don't like.
>>220787702Who are the big heads who know the most and have the fuller picture of what's going on?
>>220782330We were still in the beginnings of 3d games, there was no dominant design yet until the open world witcherslop ubislop arkhamslop took over all big commercial titlesYou got funding for more crazy games with more hazardous mechanics
>>220782130Yeah.The tabletop is neat too.
>>220788495It's a bit difficult to answer, because it's ultimately up to interpretation and you can decide for your own game. At the highest level you have God, cosmic godlike beings in the umbra, and mythical characters like Caine, Charon, or Lucifer. These characters all exist (probably) but they're as mysterious as they are powerful, you really only hear about them in rumors or fragments. Beyond that level the highest ranking members of each splat hold a lot of secret knowledge. Demons probably know the most because they used to be the angels that created everything, but they're assholes who went insane from being tortured in hell and will probably lie to you if they even remember the truth. A lot of old vampires have collected lore for thousands of years, but it tends to be focused on their own kind. Arch-mages have unlocked many of the secrets of the universe but good luck finding one of those guys anywhere on earth. Faeries and Werewolves are mostly retards. On average as a group the Technocratic Union might be the most well informed, because they see keeping tabs on the supernatural world as their duty.
>>220782130No, game dropped game after first braindead hospital mission.
>>220782130>need a mod to play as a Setitegay
It has been in my backlog for a decade, but i am too busy wasting time on 4chan.
i have and it's pretty shit to be honestthe game starts out okay but the quality takes an insane nosedive like halfway through the gamethe sewers section where you have to battle monsters is such baffingly terrible level design that there are mods made by literal school children that have better level design than thati can't imagine how people got through this game on release without cheats or fan patches
>>220782130Yes
>>220782130Twice as Nosferatu, once as Malkavian.I was made for the sewer life.
My top three kino triangle is VTMB, Deus Ex and System Shock 2, I can replay them ten trillion times and never get bored or never stop learning something new you can do in the game.
>>220791414You can skip the sewers in the plus patch, fuck that place, should have just put the tzimisce flesh puppets at the start and made it like 4 times shorter.
>>220782130Only once when I had COVID during the pandemic, funny when looking on it. I love the game, but the boss rush was a bit much, though not too bad since I used my skill points wisely as gangrel.
>>220782130everyone should play it
