As you know ruskifren I moved to Serbia. Basically the furthest place away from my country while still being white and having a monoculture. America is a hellhole. Multiculturalism, lots of psyops. It's not even a real country it's just an economic zone. I view it like a people farm. You really don't know how bad it is here for an average person. Extremely low trust and everything is always about money. Old family values are fading and there's really little left of the original culture left. God forbid you have to live in a city and your life is just hell. And also you have to remember that people of my stock aren't even from here so it feels unnatural and weird. I'm sure there's small pockets that are okay but I'd rather not travel the country another 10 more years and figure it all out.

America is a big place with a dominant global culture. Average people don't need or care to learn about anything else. For smaller countries it's inherent to their survival they educate themselves about geography and history. America is not this way. I can't say I blame them exactly, but I would think it would be very boring. It's important to remember than around half of Americans don't have passports and a smaller percentage never even leave their state. My home state for example is 3 times the size of Serbia. If I wasn't so bored all the time I probably wouldn't have left either.

To your point though I've been gone long enough where I'm finding small things offensive or annoying. All the fake smiling, weird customer service, tipping culture, asking how everyone is doing (I mean everyone, strangers included) and not giving a shit about their answers. The memes really are true in a lot of circumstances.
Even interaction is "hey how ya doing" "good" " how are you" "good" then eventually you get around to what you're actually doing. It's pretty useless.
I kinda miss just going to trafika, some old baba not giving a fuck about anything and usual scowling not even bothering to tell me the total of what I got and being in my way in 30 seconds or less.

I obviously agree, I'm not here to argue. Just to say it's pretty imperative for smaller and less dominant countries to learn and be more curious. Like you couldn't even go through the entire American film body of work in your lifetime. I could go through Serbia's in a year maybe. I can see why people get caught in their own cultural loop.
