Although I'll keep referring to him as Doomguy here and there to mix things up and of course since he's still our hero from the 90's at it again. The SDM is definitely in for some fun times although I'm thinking a lot on how to handle a non-spellcard fight and whatnot. It's going to be tough that's for sure but I'm sure he'll be able to find some secrets and power ups along the way to help him out. It's a big place after all.

With Toji also being a sort of twisted Buddhist type, spending money without a care as he doesn't value it, and living freely as dictated by his nature as a heaven sent anti-curse-sorcerer weapon, but doing so abondend his kid.Tewi is also a free spirit who lives to her nature, but none-the-less is reliable and depended upon by the Eientei crew.That and Tewi has probably been a mom and Toji is a dad.

Looks like a pretty interesting bit of OC so far with the first three author posts I've read, although I think it's a bit too banter heavy. For others we have crystal clear descriptions of their abilities and them demonstrating them in games and printworks. Reimu's ability to float (see the moment where fish moved under her feet as she crosses water or her effortlessly dodging and responding to Marisa's attacks without really thinking), ZUN telling us about Yukari's boundary powers (she can do anything with them, so for game balance purposes zun rationalized why she always holds back) or Hijiri Byakuren's straight forward physical enhancement and divine magic.

Instead of becoming skilled in the game, then beating a boss based on what you learned, instead it feels like you merely got lucky, which is lame, and it feels like the game is being unfair, when the RNG is against you. Not to mention cases where there are multiple bosses, where attacks might be unavoidable no matter how good you are, because little or no thought was put into bosses' timing thanks to the dice roll nature of attacks. This is why I say it's mediocre. Yes, the art is great, but that's not all a game is. I do agree the difficulty is overhyped, mostly because RNG is fake difficulty, besides that the plebs who have played a well-known title like Cuphead likely don't play much else anyway, or at least much else that could be described as "challenging".

Sure, you might mellow it out later but that would make it inconsistent in the tone the beginning already set. Also, unless its a Touhou AU I don't see him getting away with murder without an asspull or Deus Ex Machina, something that you really should avoid as a writer. Furthermore, it is a massive challenge even for seasoned writers to kill off named characters from barely-violent franchises like Touhou, and it's impossible to do that brutally without being an edgefest or just a joke fic, like imagine Doomslayer curbstomping Mario, who would take that seriously. On the other hand nobody would bat an eye at him doing that to Nemesis from Resident Evil, because it fits both settings in content and tone.But what you can do, is to alter the setting to fit what you're trying to write. Since that crossover of yours is already leaning heavily on the Doom side of things you can borrow a lot more from it, for example making the Touhou cast more demonic. That would certainly fit the ripping and tearing better.As an exercise you could maybe try writing EoSD but with the girls replaced by demons, like Rumia being an Imp, Patchouli an Archvile, Remilia one of those weapon wielding demons from Eternal and Reimu of course being the slayer (although if you want to you can retain the isekai part) and see how the tone of the work changes. Then if you like it keep going with it or apply what you learned to the next attempt. Key to a good crossover is that both sides are influenced by the other in some way, cross-integration of elements being one of those.
