Cheap Simmons scope finally crapped out. The eyepiece is loose and wobbles by like 10 MOA and I can't see a way to tighten it back up again. It started snowing like crazy too, would've been fun to shoot with snow falling against a green grass field.

I am in need of some assistance from individuals that use a gen 2 or 3 Type 97 with the OEM ambi mag release, and gen 2 and 3 pmags:It seems from my exp that if you use the release from the right side, pushing the button in all the way will not release gen 3 pmags. however it will most of the time drop gen 2 pmags. No issues with any mag when releasing from the left side. This is because the lever part that makes the release work from either side is able to rotate in too far and keeps a hold on mags even when pushed out all the way. The only way to release is by rotating it.I am wondering how many others have this same issue. Thanks.

The only advantage they provide is that you can use their AK style safety adaptors, which are still flimsy and sketchy as fuck since you're just screwing on a piece of plastic or an airsoft grade safety arm.The problems with the side rails is not with the rails themselves, the problem is that many of the rifles are bent where the front trunnion attaches to the receiver. If your rifle is bent, it doesn't matter what rail you buy, you're going to need to shim it. If you only want a red dot or micro dot, consider getting a handguard with a rail and mounting to that, since it will be parallel with the barrel. If you want a prism sight due to astigmatism or any sort of magnified optic, or you think you'll be taking this rifle apart in the bush regularly for cleaning and don't want to have to take care of lots of tiny screws, then a side rail is worth it.

Nobody makes a mount for the T81 rear sight due to how complex it is, the fact that the T81 sight is a staked together and spring loaded mess, and because our machining industry sucks.
