How come this is almost 50% cheaper than the 9mm version? Are these good or trash? Is it because if someone wants a "target" pistol they want to shoot 9mm and thus more demand for the 9mm version? From what I understand the 45 USPs have more features. Is it any more accurate than a USP Tactical with the slightly longer barrel?
>>61456839It's basically an improved MK23The 9mm ones are more expensive because 9mm is cheaper to shoot. The USP45s are the most reliable pistols ever made and if you like shooting hot ammo it'll be your favorite pistol. Because of the recoil spring setup you can shoot 45 Super +P+ without changing anything. I've shot a bunch of 230gr 1200fps handloads through a factory usp without excessive recoil or ejection distance. They make aftermarket threaded barrels for the expert which makes it functionally almost identical to the mk23. And if you put a brake and a stiff recoil spring in it you can handload to really insane pressure
barrel length doesn't mean mo accurate.9mm is much cheaper to shoot (24 cpr vs 40ish cpr) you can hold mo bullets in a 9mm, and it's easier to shoot a 9mm quickly. If you don't anticipate shooting it a bunch, fuck maybe a 45 for half the price is a good get. I shot an expert for the first time last week after owning and shooting a standard usp for about 6 years. It's *nicer* shooting but not significantly so. basically identical double action and slightly better single action. The expert is much prettier than the standard or elite usp, and is my favorite usp aesthetically

>>61456839>Are these good or trash?the gun is good, amazing eventhe round is trash though, and not a single serious target shooter is using .45
>>61457610>The 9mm ones are more expensive because 9mm is cheaper to shootthat doesn't make any sense at all.
>>61456839they really need to make a 10mm of this. Would easily become the best non boutique 10mm on the market.
supply and demand. the 9mm expert is retailing close to list price and the .45 at a hefty discount. list prices are identical.
>>61460990Demand for the 9mm ones is higher because the ammunition it uses is much more popular and affordable. This raises the price for the 9mm model. What about that does not make sense?
>>61460977Impressive bait, very nice>>61460999They do/did but the were marked .40. Luckily for you, the vast majority of 10mm ammo is the exact same bullet at the exact same speed as 40 so you're not missing out on anything at all except upvotes on reddit. If you want hot handloads/boutique ammo, 10mm is humiliated by 45 so again, you're not missing out on anything except upvotes on reddit.
>>61462006You're missing out on some capacity for 10mm vs 45
>>61456839>From what I understand the 45 USPs have more features. What additional "features" do you think the 45 USPs have?>>61457699>barrel length doesn't mean mo accurate. But sight radius does>>61460990demand for the 9mm is higher so they aren't getting discounted like the 45. This isn't complicated.
>>61462006>the vast majority of 10mm ammo is the exact same bullet at the exact same speed as 40substantiate this claim. It's untrue. Tired of seeing it. stop peddling falsehoods.
>>61462117USP45 mag holds 14+1 with follower swap and fits flush with the bottom of the frameRIA 10mm mag holds 16+1 and extends past the bottom of the usp frame. Put an extension on the 45 magazine to match the length and you're at the same capacity. Or you can just be happy having 2 less rounds of a cartridge that can shoot much heavier bullets with more power than 10mm>>61462154It's a sad state of affairs. 40 hollow points tend to mog 10mm hollow points too ironically enough
>>61456839Same as why the CZ97B .45 weant out of production recently.Great gun, but the only Fudds who shoot .45acp are also the same Fudds who only use muh2worldwars M1911s.
>>61462006>the vast majority of 10mm ammo is the exact same bullet at the exact same speed as 40but that's wrong. cheap range fodder 10mm is on par or even a notch above boutique .40.>Buffalo Bore Heavy .40 Smith & Wesson +P Ammo 180 gr 1100 fps>Blazer Brass 10 mm 180 gr 1120 fps>Magtech 10 mm 180 gr 1200 fps

>>61461032There's a $400 difference in dealer price as well as MSRP they aren't the same
>>61456839Yeah, but it's not a soldier's gun.
>>61456839It's not you're just fucking terrible at bargain hunting.
>>61462484That would be 9mm.

>>61462574LOLeven 9mm shot through a .45 silencer is quieter than .45 lmao .45 cant even win on its home turf retard.
>>61462595>no mention of powder loads or FPS of ammo used; easily could've been rigged by using the hottest 45 available and the slowest 9mmBunk test, thoroughly discredited. try again

>>61460999>they really need to make a 10mm of thischecked, is 10mm even popular in europe? I know there's that MP5 in 10mm but I think that's the only 10mm thing they've done.I feel like that's what makes HK do anything, it always seems like they begrudgingly sell to the US civilian market.
>>61462633Shut up fag go back
>>61462770>s 10mm even popular in europe?>is a meme caliber that the FBI used for a week before switching to .40 popular in Europeno, of course not. It's not even popular in the US.
>>61462541Unreliable?
>>61462770Nothing is popular in Europe because guns aren't legal there. There's a reason why most euro gun manufacturers build and sell most of their firearms in the US. >herpaderpa single shots and double barrel shotgunsYou know what the fuck I mean.
>>61462770>is 10mm even popular in europe?you'll get the occasional hunter who wants a powerful pistol for boar defense and very rarely an aficionado who just likes it (pic related).but for the most part pistols are 9mm except historic pieces like 1911s, Swiss Lugers or whatnot.

>>61463782a Sphinx 3000.me, I guess.
>>61463835yeah they went out of business in 2016 apparently, sad stuffapparently KRISS are attempting to bring it back?
>>61462006Why 45 fags have to lie like this? Are they really this insecure?

>>61460990>doesn't know how basic economics worksthere is more demand for a 9mm but a limited supply
>>61465362What is this idiotic combination of words?
>>61463867Sphinx was bought by KRISS to focus on duty pistols and then got into financial troubles.the semi-custom Sphinx pistols were reborn (thus the name) as PHX Phoenix, but they only offer 9mm as of now.
>>61463257>you'll get the occasional hunter who wants a powerful pistol for boar defense and very rarely an aficionado who just likes it (pic related).oh yeah good point, I think the Danes adopted a 10mm pistol? (for the units in Greenland)
>>61462770>I know there's that MP5 in 10mmIIRC that was made for the FBI Hormone Replacement Team when the FBI was making the big switch to 10mm (before they realized that women and faggots can't handle 10mm and that's the only people they hire)
>>61467627The Danish Sirius Patrol in Greenland carries Glock 20s for polar bear defense as they found 9mm doesn't quite cut it. They also use M1917 bolt-actions as .223 isn't very good for dangerous animals either and they need something that can work reliably in the cold.
>>61456839There are a lot more of the 45 variants on the American market than the 9s. Also the match barrels on the Expert and Elite are hand fit to each slide unlike the Tactical and stock models.
>>61471946name of these cyberpunk mods?
>>61456839This gun is my favorite conceal carry, no joke. It carries like a Glock 19, but I load it with underwood .45 super. It's a cool fucking gun, it feels cool to shoot, and the trigger is excellent. What more can you ask for? (Besides a useful light rail)
>>61472768I feel like the ggg rail adapter is fine
>>61456839I can't speak to the accuracy of other USPs but I personally love my .45 Expert and it's my favorite handgun. As the other anon said, it's fuctionally an MK23 that's better in every way and cheaper. If you have a chance to grab one I highly recommend it. Personally I'm building mine out as a suppressor host because I can't be asked to go buy subsonic 9mm
>>614609909mm is popular.9mm guns are hot commodity9mm is a seller's market.Seller sets price higher for more money.Buyer still buys because 9mm is good, popular, ubiquitus and always in high demand by security firms, civilian and military markets.9mm will never go out of style unless someone makes something that's easier to shoot, has better ballistics and somehow has even less felt recoil, which will happen when the sun turns green.Pro-tip: Stars cannot be green.
>>61463926I frequently shoot 45 that's hotter than Buffalo bore's 1200fps 220gr 10mm through a stock USP. 10gr of power pistol will get a 230gr bullet going 1200fps without excessive pressure; there's plenty of room for more power once you add a recoil spring and a compensator.10mm fanboys have a really hard time accepting that they can't compete with more case capacity and a much more efficient bore.

>>61478884The unit on that thing, is that the DBAL-PL? Any good? I don't want to get into a bidding war for a LAM so I'm trying to look for alternatives
>>61479269>Any good?do you have werewolf sized hands? then yes, if not, don't bother
>>61457610Redpill me on Expert vs Tactical. For some reason it is difficult to find a comprehensive comparison of the two variants’ features that doesn’t just state the obvious barrel and slide differences. I am seeing different sources make different claims about sights, triggers, and a few other things.
>>61479269I just stumbled on to this today, it's suitably massive, cheap when you can find them (out of production now) and obscure enough that people won't instantly think it's chinese junk lolIf having a legit Wilcox or Insight is not in the cards this might be just as good for larp
>>61457610is it huge like the mk23 though?
>>61480890Mk23 isn’t huge
>>61481173it's desert eagle size

>>61481173You're right, it's Xbox Hueg.
>>61478425>10gr of power pistol will get a 230gr bullet going 1200fps without excessive pressurehow exactly did you determine it to not be excessive pressure? because that exceeds book loads by 33% and smokeless powder burns even faster with more pressure.
>>61478425also buffalo bore only gets their 230 gr +P to 950 fps, underwood claims 1000 fps. I'd assume they'd offer a 1200 fps standard pressure load if it could be achieved with an off-the-shelf powder.
