I have too much rare/unique stuff that would qualify to post it all so here's two. The Beretta is probably the rarest gun I have, it's one of ~500 I think.

Damn shame. It's not a set trigger version, is it? I know an anon had an SSG but it wasn't the same rare variant as mine.

There's a lot wrong with it practically speaking, it absolutely doesn't stand on it's own merits. But I LOVE it for its weirdness and super low recoil, I bring it to the range every time. It's complexity and singularity is endlessly fascinating, it's a really incredible engineering project.

I post it here every once in a while. I’ve never seen another MR1 on here, and I’ve only ever seen one other IRL. Also, I think mine’s an odd one. It came with the original pistol grip and collapsible stock (not a modified supernova pistol grip), and much longer side rails than the typical “tri-rail”. The guy I got it from years ago said he bought it that way.

1: Is that repro the original tube-through-washers baffle design or the improved modern K baffle that Special Interest was using?
2: Is it louder or quieter than a suppressed 9mm pistol with the slide held closed?
The one I shot wasn't as quiet as 9mm which was extremely disappointing but I still regret not getting one

It's a reproduction of the original design. It was made by Cotton Branch Customs using a no1 mk3 I supplied. This is another rifle he made that shows the internals. Also I haven't held the slide closed on a 9mm suppressed in a long time so I can't really answer that. It's not as quiet as I'd hoped either and will still ring your ears but I have zero regrets having it built.

The trigger is very different depending on how tight the stock is screwed on to the receiver.
Goes from a fairly wimpy click to a proper one.

I have a modified navy rifle that uses some sort of artillery switch/breech locking thing to shoot flares out of a modified piece of pipe. The pipe is a 100% authentic navy pipe taken from a piece of broken equipment from a navy ship. I think it was used to break holes into ships being scrapped or to shoot munitions into lakes so depth charges on torpedoes could be calculated right. Grandpa left me an entire closet full of manuals about it which sits under my videogame collection

no pics because I don't intend on selling it and the two guys I tried showing it to told me it was mildly radioactive lol

Yes, it’s an 85% 1911, polymer frame, 4.25” barrel. It is just such a nice little pistol; light weight, light trigger, .380 performs well out of the longer barrel compared to most .380s that use ~2” barrels, and it functions perfectly. The only downside is that it’s a bit pricey, but it’s one of my favorites to shoot.

Most of my collection is fairly common stuff. I don't really have anything particularly rare or one-of-a-kind.
Though, I'd say my most uncommon pieces are my Glenfield Model 20, Stevens 311A, converted Pietta 1858 with the target barrel, and my B.S.A Martini International.

Out of these, the rarest is probably the Martini International, and even then, there were still thousands made, so I'd reckon a few people here have one. Love that gun. Stupid accurate .22. Holes-touching groups at 25 yards. I'd love if someone else here shared my love for that old target rifle.

It's surprisingly a bit snappy but the recoil is still very minimal and ammo goes away very quickly because you're back on target very fast.

Better unthreaded than shittily threaded. So many AWB era guns with nonconcentric and generally garbage threading jobs. If I were buying an AWB era gun or a gun that never came threaded and I had the option of buying one that WAS threaded, I'd need hard proof it was concentric or I'd need to inspect it and confirm it myself. And that's assuming I want it threaded or that it's even the "right" thread pattern and the threads are of good quality.

Here's some more pics. You can see on the inside of the crane it has a Model number of 10-6, but the barrel is clearly marked .357 magnum. Also the cylinder has recessed chambers normal for S&W magnums of that era. The New York State Police wanted a Model 10 but chambered in .357 magnum, so S&W obliged and made a run of .357 Model 10-6s. When those turned out to be a pretty good idea, S&W formalized this variant as the Model 13. I don't know if this one was used by any particular LE agency, but the holster wear would make sense for that. S&W made about 4k of these 10-6s in .357 magnum before switching to the Model 13 designation.

Any idea what the circumstances around this were? Being an Aussie myself I'm going to guess:
>they got imported
>there was some complaining from wankers
>it was deemed not cool for us to have them
>the importer had to sell them as exports
Geniunely curious though.

I have contemplated getting a Spitfire (I know where to get one and not especially expensive either) but I have no idea if it takes any commonly available CZ mags. It wouldn't be any use to me with no mags

>>61491139
funnily enough, it malfunctioned for me (failure to feed) like every other round with the original magazine. tested it with a CZ 85 mag that was available on the range and it improved to jamming about 1 in 4 rounds. could have been the ammo, haven't tested it since. as for the mag locking in securely, I've tested 5-6 different mags (old 75's, new SH2's, some random mecgar) and all did, but I can't vouch for them actually feeding reliably

Neat! I’ve had a couple of M13’s and a handful of M10’s so seeing a “proto” M13 is cool. I was holding out hope maybe it was a thin barrel 357, but I’m pretty sure smith only used the heavy barrels for the magnums (for good reason)

I'm pretty certain nobody else on /k/ has a vepr-1v 556 rpk for sure. A batch of them existed for about a month and were never seen for sale again aside from a rare crazy expensive gunbroker listings over the years.
And I'm 90% sure I've never seen another vepr fm-308 here.
I also have a 6.5 grendel vepr, but I think I may have seen somebody on here claim they have one at some point years ago, so I'll give it a 50/50 that I'm the only one on /k/ with one.

Sounds like what the Chinese did to AK mags. I have a 20rd for my AK I found used but it's just a 30rd chopped and the cut edge stamped to flare the sides out to let a baseplate slide on to make it a 20rd. I think they even did 10 and 5 round mags like that too; I might own one of those. How strange.

>>61499891
I can't really tell from his pic but his mag finish looks closer to the usual russian than the glossy finish of the chinese NDM mags and rifles. Depending on the year his tigr was imported it could also be that they hadn't yet made any proper 5 rounders and just chopped readily available 10s

I use to own a whiney wolvering but when I broke up with my ex I let her have it. Fucking thing had a threaded barrel and everything. I understand they take to cans well. Definitely miss having a real unique gun like that.
>>
>>61500121
They're threaded? No shit! A vintage gun that might silence well or at least somewhat easily, that's a new one. Sights would probably get covered by anything over 1" diameter but oh well. What's the thread pattern?
>>
>>61500264
I couldn't remember the thread pattern, this was something like 20 years ago. That grippable looking bit at the front is a big plastic thread protector, just unscrew it and boom; threads.

So the 5 shell mag is only for 3 inch shells, putting shorter shells in there will eject them instead of feed them.
Is that the issue you are experiencing?
>>
>>61503629
3 inch shells don't work either, plus I tried shooting 3 inch shells out of it and the stock cracked and I had to get a new stock
The problem is that the magazine is loose so it hangs low. If I hold the mag in place and work the bolt very slowly, it usually works.
