Earlier at the church I've been wondering what gun Jesus would carry. Berettas and Benellis seem obvious for the legionaires but I'm unsure about Christ and the apostoles. What do you think?

Jesus would turn the other cheek.

>Being ruled over by passions and appetites makes you hecking strong and based.
No. There are some twisted versions of the Christian tradition, but ultimately it is the perfected vision of freedom as the ability to actualize the Good, what is truly best. In this, it not only agrees with Aristotle, Plato, and Plotinus, but carries then forward into a higher level of perfection with St. Augustine, Boethius, St. Maximus, and St. Aquinas.

I'm not sure if he would have any particular preference, I doubt he'd even care for firearms at all other than a handgun for self defense. Even then, like >>61483299 he'd probably not even use it. He'd probably just have a Jericho or Beretta because that'd be what's available in the region.
The Apostles would probably have been well armed and Peter would have shot the priest's servant's ear off with a suppressed URGI M4 clone or some other rifle.
>>61484581
All of your preferred warrior/sociopathic societies are extinct and Christian civilizations have a better military track record over history. Morality is not weakness, and it is a choice made by free men while you are nothing more than a slave to passion.
>>61484599
>>61484675
God has no contradictions and you are doing exactly what you are accusing the other anon of.
>>
>>61483287
Probably wouldn't have carried a gun. When you're fulfilling prophecy you don't have much to worry about. Simon Peter would've had a staccato though.
>>61484599
Isn't it embarrassing to be unable to successfully larp as a Christian? For a divine being there's no such thing as 'behaving out of character', unless you're trying to constrain God to match your beliefs. Christ is both just and merciful, and in that instance He knew justice was the right choice.

Christianity, as preached by Jesus and not the collected doujin ramblings of some NEET Greeks, is wholly pacifist. Any retributions is done by God, not by Christians.

I don't think it's stated that Jesus carried a weapon, but a few of the apostles did, or at least Peter did.
We actually do have Peter's sword too, and it's quite unusually shaped for a sword. Pic related, it's in the Archdiocesan Museum in Poland.
Now, in 1609, Johannes Longinus wrote that this sword was a "Roman gladius" that had been given to either the local Duke or Bishop as a gift by the Pope in 968. Perhaps the term gladius as we know it was not meant, but simply indicated that the sword was Roman in origin. There are some inconsistencies with his account though, such as the Pope he listed having been dead and succeeded by that time.
If we go by Johannes' account, we could start looking at Italy, if we don't we could also look at some more domestic weapons. But again, this is just for Peter and the Apostles. Jesus honestly wouldn't have had a need for a weapon. Like the faithful Centurion told Jesus, he need only give the word and it will be done, he need not be there to see it nor even lift a finger. What he wills shall be done.

I'm certain that almost everyone would have had a knife on their person, if only because it's a tool that everyone should and would reasonably have on their person. Similar for sticks, on a long journey a stick would've doubled as an aid for walking as well as a weapon if the need arose. If I recall from scripture, it's stated that two of the Apostles carried swords. One was Peter's, but I'm not sure if the other swordsman is named. They would have been a solid backbone of the group's defense if they were attacked, the others would likely have used their sticks or their knives, or perhaps thrown stones. That's just theoretical though, I don't think there's any known instances of them being attacked during Jesus's lifetime. Afterward is when the persecution really began.

The Bible does not refer to itself as the pillar of truth, nor Sola Scriptura. What is the pillar of truth in the Bible? The Church. It has the authority given by Christ, and those that reject it reject Christ.
