Man, it's crazy that the company that makes Desert Eagles has never bothered making suppressors for them and threaded barrels gassed accordingly.

Desert Eagles already have issues with gas debris contamination due to how the gas system works, a suppressor would make this fouling significantly worse and make them even more unreliable.

Why have a fake 92 with weird mag issues when you can use an actual 92? The only reason to have a Taurus 92 is if you're a massive fan of BOPE.

So I've almost decided on an LTT Beretta 92 but I want a compact and theres none available in the website.
I was almost into getting a Springfield Prodigy seeing as they should have already resolved all their fucked up issues at launch, however someone close told me they only LOOK like 2011s, they dont perform any better than a gun half their price.

Also every single gun store i've been to has tried to hock me a p320 Legion X5 or some shit with the new sig optic on it. Every singe one. It's gotta be some kind of kickback promotion.
>>
>>61495125

I'd buy a 92x compact if there were any around but I've already riced out one beretta and the juice is most definitely not worth the squeeze. The combined total of my modifications turned out to be about 300 dollars less than just buying it, AND i still havent sent the slide to get cut.
>>
>>61495011
I fucking love that scene. Great performance by Kurtwood Smith.
>>
I rented a Beretta M9 at the range today, the slide release was in the way of my thumbs, the trigger is very smooth and also the curve of the trigger I thought was weird. The aluminum frame makes it oddly light imo. It would definitely take getting used to for me. I think I'll rent a CZ next time.
>>

The sequel is shockingly good, too.

Man I want to like these but they’re just a bit too chunky and the fitment isn’t perfect. Sure does look nice though (the newest Robocop game has a 226 with wood grips in it and a bunch of other great retro guns). This gun with the Emperor Scorpion grips is the nicest shooting 9mm I’ve shot, even better than my Grandpa’s west German 226. Surely there are nicer shooting nines but I haven’t found one yet. Wish I could carry it more but once I got used to a subcompact I can only really justify carrying it in the coldest heavy jacket months. Great night sights.
>>
The Emperor Scorpion grips, overpriced but honestly worth it IMO. I’ve always found medallion grips kind of tacky but I don’t mind these since it’s just an Sig logo, for me it’s about the comfort and feel of them in hand. Highly recommend for any fellow P series fags out there.
>>
>>61495136
>It's gotta be some kind of kickback promotion.
Correct. Sig has a very generous rewards program. Most of the sales guys at my LGS have gotten a free MCX by pushing P365s and P320s on every sucker that walks through the door and uploading the receipts.
>>
>>61495136
>has tried to hock me a p320 Legion X5

Nah. Most likely at first glance you appear to have disposable income.

Not even close to what I said. But it is easy as hell to get free guns out of it, and you can bet the sales guys have that in mind when they make recommendations.
>>
I can either buy a seems to have been fired one time by the previous owner S&W Model 69 Combat Magnum for $670 or pay roughly a thousand for a 329PD. Leaning towards the 329. Thoughts?

>>
>>61495700
Model 69, the PDs all suck and only make sense if you’re an extreme long range hiker where every once of your kit counts. The gun sucks to shoot, and you have to replace a little blast shield every 500 rounds (if you make it that far).
>>
>>61495722
Ounce*
>>
>>61495722
the Model 69 is steel, I have no idea what you're talking about it sucking to shoot.

>>
>>61495710
Lying about what? That you can get free guns for shilling behind the counter? Look for yourself: https://www.sigrewards.com/en-US/ You're a moron if you don't believe anyone takes advantage of that.
>>
>>61495700
The 4.25" 69 is a completely reasonable CCW .44 Magnum; the 2.75" is realistically just worse than a Glock 29 in every practical way.
The 329PD has to be sent back to the factory every 1000 rounds or so to have the blast shield that ablatively protects the topstrap from flame cutting replaced, and has as much recoil as you'd expect a .44 Magnum that weighs as much as a Glock 19 to.
What are your priorities?
>>
>>61495738
Springfield, Daniel Defense, S&W, Shadow Systems, FN, Staccato, and Vortex all do this kind of thing off the top of my head as well. Some are more of a pain in the ass than others.
>>
>>61495735
D in your mom actually

The 69 does not have a blast shield you have to replace, so you're wrong. I think mine is fine to shoot with rubber X500 grips, better than you'd think a L frame .44 magnum would shoot.
>>
>>61495754
You’re actually retard, wow.
>>
>>61495760
No where do you specify your second sentence applying to the PDs only. Your first sentence lists the 69 and the PDs in the same category. You're a nigger
>>
>>61495732
>>61495754
everything in that guy's post after the first comma is referring to the 329PD and scandium-framed xxxPD revolvers in general
>>
>>61495746

>>
>>61495769
He does not say so, someone who has no idea would not know about scandium frame blast shields issues or the differences between the 69 and the PD.

Especially someone considering a PD would not know of their issues.
>>
>>61495765
Oh yeah I was wrong, you’re right, spend the extra money for the 329PD, they’re awesome guns.
>>
>>61495782

>>
>>61495787
I'm not the faggot arguing with you. I only asked the initial question. Didn't know about the blast shield
>>
>>61495777
If you don't have any specific plans to carry it, honestly just get a 629; it's still a blast to shoot, but that little bit of extra heft pushes it over the line into "I'd enjoy shooting this all day, if not for the cost of ammo" territory.
>>
>>61495802
Really why I'm asking is I need something between my Glock 17 which makes me physically ill to appendix carry for more than 2 hours, and my NAA Guardian, which is a .32. I've also just wanted a .44 for years
>>
>>61495787
>>61495792
arrogant nutlicker
>>
>>61495782
The comma sets his recommendation (Model 69) off from his reasoning for not getting the 329PD (the PDs all suck and only make sense if you’re an extreme long range hiker where every once of your kit counts), and since he's already weighed in for the 69 and against the 329PD, it's fatuous to pretend his continued invective in the second sentence refers to anything but the 329PD. Please stop.
>>
>>61495810
>Glock 17 which makes me physically ill to appendix carry for more than 2 hours
Bro what the fuck is wrong with you seriously?
>>
>>61495828
Sitting with that thing sucks
>>
>>61495827
Someone who does not know would not know and assume the 69 has a blast shield. "The gun" does not specify which gun he's talking about, easily assuming that the gun refers to both the 69 and the PDs.
>>
>>61495834
You need to change your holster position or simply loose a bit of weight.

>>61495838

>>61495841

>>
>>61495828
Not that guy but I once bought a Steyr M9-A1 at a pawn shop and slapped an x300 on it, put it on my enigma, and drove out of town to a police outfitter store that sold cheap ammo. After buying the ammo I drove back home and found out the hard way i had sprained my scrotum.
I couldn't straighten up without pain for weeks, sitting down was awful, i couldn't even sleep comfortably for a few days.
>>
>>61495810
>I want something more reasonable to AIWB than my G17
>I want a .44 Mag
Those are two separate projects. I occasionally carry my 629 as a joke, but it's not completely insane because it's basically the same size, weight, and capacity as a 1911—it has to be, since ultra-light .44s like the 329 are notoriously awful to shoot.

i am seriously considering selling my p229 simply because i don't have the sticker that i think came in the pistol case when i first got the gun. i could have sworn it did but i can't find it. i was planning on putting it on my work lunch box next to my HK sticker. the other real reason is i want to narrow it down to one rifle, one pistol, maybe 2 pistols. so far my hk45c is the second gun that fits in my hand nicely (1911 is first, ppk is third). might get a usp as the main pistol and the 45c for home defense. thoughts?

No where does it specify the blast shield issue applies to PDs only. That is something you would only assume is you already knew PDs had blast shield issues.

The 69 does not suck or does it have blast shield issues. It's just a L frame .44 magnum. 670 dollars is a decent price for an American made .44 magnum, it is only 5 shots but by being so it's thinner and smaller than the 629.

not even that. i've haven't taken the time to shoot any of my guns so they've been sitting for the past year and a half. i'm not a hoarder and i hate to have money sitting around like that. selling them would help achieve my early retirement plan just a little bit faster. a few years ago before i learned about investing, i wouldn't even consider selling any of them but i can't really say i've matured or grown out of the hobby. i'm just trying to narrow it down.

Carry the largest gun you can COMFORTABLY carry. 13+1 is probably enough capacity and I never thought I need more light on a pistol than my TLR-7sub. Anything it can’t light up, I probably can’t hit.

The kimber isn't a 2011. Prodigy will possibly either require you to work on it or send it out. The LTT will be nice. The shadow 2 could be fun too, I don't like their triggers as much. Weird wall at the start of the trigger pull in DA and in SA it has a lot of over travel.

The piranha pattern G10s are nice, and a big improvement over the crap grips that came with my MK25, but I actually prefer the Hogue checkered wood grips. They seem to give a better grip when my hands get schwetty compared to the G10 and I never noticed them to be thicker.

I'll give you kudos if you're just trolling for (you)s, here's another. But I'm convinced you're genuinely retarded and/or desperate to defend your Legion neck tattoo from how mad you are. This industry puts a lot of effort into convincing sales associates to push Product B instead of Product A, and Sig isn't the only company to do it.

Is there a difference between a 92FS from the 80's and a new one ?
>>
>>61499745
Newer ones have an updated locking block (very good), a couple polymer parts (less aesthetic), and lawyer rollmarks (much less aesthetic). Current QC has slipped some regardless of whether it was made in the US or Italy unfortunately, but unless you get unlucky, they're more or less as excellent as they've always been. I would buy a new one and trust it without question (after personally inspecting it), but the older ones are just a little cooler.

Yeah the big chains like Cabelas and Sportsmans Warehouse don't allow employees, or at least don't promote employees participating in these programs.

When I worked at a local shop though, EVERYONE was doing it. I wasn't even on the floor all the time, but in two years the kickback guns I got for free

>Ruger 10/22
>Kimber TLE II
>Smith & Wesson M&P10
>Smith & Wesson 642

And I might be forgetting one. I don't remember Sig having one at the time, but I'd be surprised if they didn't now.

Mine has a spot where the cylinder pin meets the frame below the forcing cone where it's mushing into the aluminum that make it hard to open or close the cylinder because of the raised edge and s&w replaced the lock/plunger that holds the ejector rod closed under the barrel and wrote me note telling me there wasn't anything wrong/ it's just a cosmetic issue.

I had to really go after them to send me the shipping label after they told me to send it in.

Keep in mind for me this is back in like 2013-14, but we sold quite a few Kimbers. It was mainly 40-50+ white men, and women buying micros. All the employees agreed to cooperate to achieve maximum free gun so we just had a rotation. Iirc it took selling something like 12-16 Kimbers to get a freebie, which you could select from a list of approved SKUs and they'd just ship it to the FFL. Pretty much every employee got one at some point, so they definitely move. It's the most recognizeable 'brand name' for a 1911 in the $700-1200 price range besides Springfield and their marketing is still strong in boomer minds. I'm almost certain the big chain stores just don't tell employees about these programs, keep the kickback guns and sell them at retail. Terminally online millennials and zoomers don't buy them because their inconsistent quality control has been called out and they've been memed to death and you WILL get shit posted at if you admit to owning one.
>>
>>61495681
I got a $80 blowjob machine on amazon for free by saying it broke and getting a full refund
>>
>>61500069
I should also add, younger buyers in the 20-30 age range rarely bought anything over $700-800 period, which makes sense. The younger people who would come in to buy a 1911 would buy RIA or if they had a decent job or daddies money they'd buy a Sig 1911 which were also selling like crazy at the time. Usually though they'd smirk at 1911s and beeline for whatever flavor of polymer slop they'd chosen as their tribe. Middle age mom-tier women were generally the best buyers because they were the most genuine, open to feedback, asked good questions, and were honest about what worked and didn't work for them when handling different options. Absolutely loved selling guns to milfs, best part of the job.

Ok HG
CZ sp01 or the beretta 92x compact?
I'm having issues figuring out which one to get.
I prefer the look of the CZ, and it's a little cheaper (although not much) but the fact that CZ considered the takedown pins and firing pin retainer pin "replaceable parts intended to break from use" is absurd. As well as the hammer return spring breaking from dry fire.
The beretta being a little more expensive (~$80) or add another $100 and get a RDO ready one.
>>
>>61500243
CZs are just not well built, get the Beretta.
>>
>>61500243
The cost difference is a few packs of ammo. I wouldn't sweat the extra $80.
>>
>>61500243
Handle both and get the one you genuinely prefer after giving it a good feel. Pictures, stats, and reviews can only get you so far. Handguns are physical, and personal. Either pistol can be made great.

Beretta 92X RDO will out of the box have a decently short reset and a nice trigger pull. The optics cut on it leaves a lot to be desired but there is aftermarket to fix that, either the Dlahh plate which replaces your firing pin block with a shorter one and has a low profile plate, or you get the slide recut for the Langdon Tactical optics cut.

I’m biased against CZ for those same issues but with some preventative maintenance, aftermarket, those could be solved. CGW makes a firing pin retainer pin that doesn’t break.

>How reliable are they compared to 15 rounders?
People express difficulty inserting 17/18 rounders fully loaded on a closed slide with the Beretta OEM, I believe you have the same issue with the Mecgars but it's worse with the Beretta mag.

The 18 rounders Beretta sells are a modification of their 17 rounder with some follower fuckery to allow more rounds, not great. Mecgar magazines are better, cheaper, and have more aftermarket support for extensions and magwells.

Buy mecgars, I do like the sand resistant coating of the M9A1/M9A3 mags though. The only thing that I think will come close is the Mecgars LTT sells that are NP3 coated (always out of stock).
>>
>>61502603
I just run the 'sand resistant' 15rd mags because I know they work with no fuckery. Though I always wait for holiday sales to buy them.

I doubt I could get more than one shot out of a bolt rifle in a panic situation tho. It feels like wasted weight desu. Low utility high weight
>>
>>61502665
the sand resistant coating is really nice and better than the "anti friction" coating Mecgar uses, but mecgars are like 20~25 bucks if you shop around. If you can find a deal on M9A3 (17) mags, like around 30-35 dollars, I would get them as your "flush" fit mag.

I was going to say because for the 17/18 rounder you can find cheap metal baseplates
https://ndzperformance.com/beretta-mag-plates-92-96-a1-a3-fs-18498/?_bc_fsnf=1&brand=218
but then they're all out of stock for the normal colors and probably never going to be restocked since they didn't sell well since frankly the Beretta OEM 17/18 rounders aren't that popular.

>>61502671

Redpill me on the PSA Dagger before I make a retard decision to hit checkout. Are they actually justasgood or is PSA still a QC dumpster fire?
>>
>>61505424
The main issues are the screws and firing pin. Swap out the firing pin for an OEM Glock one. PSA warranty/customer service is good.
>>
>>61500353
Yes the 17 mos has already been discontinued and the regular 17 production line is slowed to a snails pace. Glock wants the 47 to completely replace it.
>>
>>61505424
Striker fired poly guns all do the same thing nowadays thanks to the Glock patent expiring. Daggers have quality parts and actual widespread holster support, so I can't say no to it.
Don't be a cool hipster like me and grab a steyr a2 with no holster to put it in

Fun game, but the reason I suggested it because of its barrel length and cartridge. The 7.62x39 round was always designed for a 16.33” barrel, and doesn’t lose much velocity when shot out of 12.36” barrel. The ak104 is carbine length and can come with a folding stock. Admittedly, the ak weapon system is inferior to the ar-15 and you will most likely see accuracy issues from 100yrds and beyond. But the 7.62 round chops through wood a lot better. That's just my 2 cents.

Nah yeah sadly I do not have much money, wanted an old wonder nine, and New Jersey handgun permit shenanigan's meant I had to buy one kinda of asap so I couldnt really save up, so my LGS's used $250 PT99 was the best I could do. Wouldnt have gone with it if it were a newer model but because it was a pre rail with the classic slide serrations has me assume it was a Berretta tooling model, so Im happy with it being about the best a PT99 could be. My uncle does have an 90s Beretta 92 that will be mine one day though, and yeah the Taurus is good enough for John Woo larp till then
>>
>>61505424
Personally I like the grip of the stock glock more but I will say I have never cleaned my dagger and it runs flawlessly even though it creaks like a rusty door. I have it set up as a home defense pistol with light and red dot but kinda wish i went with the dagger micro in case I wanted to carry it.
>>
>>61505543
The dagger sells at the price point that Glocks should be at

Is there an appreciable difference between a Gen 3 and Gen 5 Glock 19? Can grab a Gen 3 for cheap but the sperg in me wants the latest.
>>
>>61506491
Do you plan on tacking on 5 pounds of shit on your gun? Gen 5. If you want a gun that works and you aren’t, Gen 3.
>>
>>61506491
The grooves, the trigger, the use of coil springs in a few places they used to use leaf springs.
>>
>>61506491
better barrel, DLC over nitrocarburized finish, ambi controls, better trigger mostly due to the ramped fpb, stronger breech face, more consistent ejection because of the breech face inset, very slight mag well, front serrations, backstrap system, better grip texture
>>
>>61506491
the 5's front serrations, no finger grooves, orange magazine followers, and trigger are nice.
>>
Are any of Safarilands IWB holsters any decent? Also looking at T1C, but damn they are pricy
>>
>>61506652
Its iwb, it just needs to hold the gun and use DCC clips. I've had good luck with cya, trex and havok holsters. What gun?
>>
>>61506600
>backstrap system
This one is important. Cutting a backstrap in half (keep/install the top half) will usually help your grip, especially if you hate the natural grip angle and bump.

Also Glocks have inconsistent triggers, even Gen5s. If you dont get a great trigger or it still needs to be broken in then installing 1/2 a backstrap will help improve your trigger pull, meaning the gun less likely to move.

43x MOS, debating on whether or not I want a tl7 sub on it
>>
>>61500243
>CZ sp01 or the beretta 92x compact
Those are completely different sized classes. Not that the 92 compact is much smaller than the normal 92. And you'd have to get a racegun or their plastic striker if you wanted a factory optic cut from CZ
You've also managed to name completely random parts and only managed to get one right, which is the easiest to mitigate and isn't even what most anons have break on them. Alternatively, if you're afraid of needing to use a punch and hammer on your hammer gun, just get a striker.

>>61506652
JMCK or Legacy Firearms Co
There are quite a few makers if you're not needing some unique thing with a snowflake light. Safariland is mainly for owb and mainly only cares about supplying contracts.
>43x
You're not looking around much if you can't locate a cheap glock holster. A light will make the holster more expensive however.
>>
>>61505770
No matter what you say the Dagger will always be a Glock knock-off. You want to cheap out and get the copy then go ahead but it's always worth a bit extra to get the real deal.

>>
>>61506491
If you get a Gen 5 get a later model without the half-moon cutout on the bottom front of the grip. ai fucking hate that cut out on my Gen 5 19, if I'm not wearing gloves that groove starts digging into my pinky and it's very annoying to shoot for more than a few hundred rounds. Going to replace the old girl with a Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS when I care enough to get one.

48 is nicer to shoot but 43x is easier to conceal.
43x, no optic, with factory 10rd mag and Raven Concealment Vanguard 2 for "holster" is hard to beat. Minimal and lightweight.

I'd prefer a 19x over the 45 if it came in black. That gay little nub on the front of the magwell makes it so you can't use standard 17 mags which the easy fix it getting a blade and trimming it off but still.
>>
>>61508705
Do you plan on purchasing a Glock? The only thing about the 45 is the grip is as long as a 17 and for CC (depending on how you carry it and how big you are) people usually prefer a 19. Not telling you what to get but just a thought.

It's highly unlikely that it's meaningfully different from the Glock Marksman Barrel that all Gen5 guns come standard with, and all Glocks from the very beginning have had a lanyard loop molded into the grip, and you can, in theory, buy a black lanyard clip insert like the 19X has, although I can't seem to find an American distributor for part 39002 or 33693. Maybe you could buy a tan one from a 19X owner and paint it black.
