It does seem that these things have enjoying some degree of success — the primary Ukie AT weapon are FPVs and these things will make aiming RPG drones at weak points much more difficult. Add in the regular jamming and I can see how such a scheme would work. Remember that aiming in a normal situation is more challenging than it seems due to lag, and removing the visual aim points just makes it much more difficult. I think they can overcome that with image recognition software, but I don’t know if the Ukies have the software engineering capability to make that happen, but there’s Western companies that should be able to help. I wonder why Ukies haven’t bothered acquiring real loitering munitions and advanced AT weapons and seemed content to let the volunteers churn out hobby-tier FPVs.
