>Canadians don't know about our silly ass town names in America
Oh anon. PA seems especially silly; we have a ton of British town names (like Reading and Lancaster) and silly shit like Egypt. I swear there was an eastern European country named town somewhere near Jim Thorpe but I could be wrong. We also have a Lebanon as well as a Nazareth, There's even a (probably incomplete) list for the entire US:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._places_named_after_non-U.S._places
In fact I think Gibraltar, PA is missing from that list. Actually it is and the wikipedia page for that town confirms it lol. I don't doubt there's some wild shit outside of my state as well. Just start searching (country name), US on google maps and be amazed.

New regulations change, you now officially need a PAL to buy black powder, gunpowder, and tannerite (reactive targets). They also lowered the maximum quantity you're allowed to possess legally, and retailers have to keep records of purchases. A lot of retailer already asked for PALs, but now it's the law.

Yeah pot ain’t what it used to be. Easy availability builds everyone’s tolerances up way too much and the easily available insanity-inducing levels of thc cause full blown psychosis if you aren’t ready but are just enough to make seasoned stoners feel “meh” because of tolerances.
The historical weed that white people smoked in the eurasian steppe was actually a third strain of neither sativa or indica - it was “weak” in thc compared to modern strains and allowed the yamnaya mountain conquerors to keep their heads after smoking it in their yurts and drinking raw fermented milk
Sorry for schizoposting but this is all verifiable

its true, i tried to smoke it like 4 months ago and i thought i was having a crisis. But then when i smoked what i grew last year, it was like 6-7% (according to the seeds) rather then like 6 million fucking % i got at the store
When i smoked my stuff, i actually could do things around the house and chill
this new weed is fucked.
I dont smoke a lot anymore though, gotta spend the money on 22lr ammo
>>
>>61608331
16% as per that graph is far from normal, too. Most of the vapes that zoomers puff on constantly are like 30-50% THC with a faster delivery method. It's absolutely fucked. I used to be a big le weedman but I realized that it is genuinely frying zoomers brains.
It would be like if you started making your own mead wine or beer and your zoomer neighbours responded by getting 24/7 yoinked off their asses on everclear lmfao
>>
>>61608350
>16% as per that graph is far from normal
yeah but it was one i quickly found. At my local store there are pre rolls that are 30-48+ percent THC which is fucked up.
big part of those pens is that its 100% pure THC oil, so there tolerances for weed go through the roofs and make the 50% weed normal for them.
This is why i only grow weed for myself that i smoke or tobacco, plus i get seeds that are almost 0% THC and like 6% CBD for pain. Then just bring a mother plant indoors overwinter so i dont have to buy any seeds. Costed me like 60 bucks to start though

When i asked the guy at the store multiple times about the difference between indica and sativa, i think those definitions of one making you tried vs one is for the day because they both now have such high THC percentage i cant function smoking either of them.
Plus i (dont sell) weed to my friends and mail it to them (up to a ounce) to pay for ammo sometimes
>>
>>61608331
This graph is not really relevant in Canada. Pot here has been 16%-30% THC since the 1990's. USA was 95% mexican brick weed until States like Colorado legalized.
>>
>>61608331
>>61608281
This is why I used to be able to smoke weed and chill with friends when it was "illegal" when I was a teen and now I have a mild panic attack when I smoke the government shit? >>
>>61608500
The government is genuinely weaponizing marijuana against us to absolutely fry our brains and make us complacent, yes
Used to be able to split a joint with buddies and blast trash in the wood with our SKSes and now even walking by a zoomer smoking the shit makes me lightheaded
We didn’t change, the pot (AND THE SHIT THEY SPRAY IT WITH) changed
Some native or redneck growing it in his trailer doesn’t have access to the fucking roundup and glyphosate they spray it with and then never wash off before it turns volatile when lit and enters your bloodstream directly…
>>
>>61608500
>>61608593
Illegal grow ops often used all kinds of stuff that is terrible for you. The legal grow ops operate on a quantity over quality basis and sit on shelves for too long often developing mold. Old guys smoking pot after many years of stopping and getting too high was a thing long before legalization. You shouldn't really smoke pot at all as it makes you lazier and messes with your dopamine. You can still buy low THC in legal weed stores. If you're really going to do it as some sort of habit you should grow your own as another anon stated previously, then you can ensure a quality product without unnecessary chemicals.
>>
>>61608331

TIL today: the firing pin return spring on a wk181 is a critical component that limits how far the firing pin can travel, without it the firing pin can travel an extra half an inch and can detonate a round while the bolt is completely out of battery.

Looking for ways to improve reliability with surplus ammo and thought maybe deleting the return spring would give the hammer some extra punch, but just a basic examination shows no that would be incredibly dangerous.

Pic unrelated off of plebbit.

AR15 has no return spring and it brings combustion gas alot closer to the firing pin than any AR180 design does. The return spring is not necessary in a proper design; they should have simply machined a shoulder into the firing pin which prevents over travel instead of using the compressed length of spring to do it.

>You mean like the shoulder already on the pin?

I assume you're being sarcastic; that shoulder is there to catch the cotter pin which keeps the firing pin inside the BCG and it acts as an end stop when it hits the back of the bolt so that the tapered tip of the pin doesn't jam inside the firing pin hole. Nothing on the pin prevents out of battery overtravel as BCL learned the hard way when SRV2's started exploding and they had to issue a recall.

I think BCL must've used out of spec springs without being aware the spring itself was the out of battery safety on the AR180 design. Theoretically this should also be possible on kodiak wk180/181's but somehow they've managed to avoid it so far, probably due to the choice of spring. I'm starting to think though that what happened below was caused by this same design flaw and they've just been lucky so far.

I would definitely invest in a 22 as a first gun. You won't regret it. 22s are lethal on game and cheap plinking. Everyone learns to shoot on one. Just don't waste your money on gimmicky larper 22s. Get something tried and tested.

are those more accurate than a high precision .22?
can shoot past 500m with a .22 ruger
>>
>>61611059
Don’t forget you also get 2 for 1 time spent in jail pre sentencing.
>>
>>61611070
>500 yds
I'm consistently accurate at 100 yds with my 10/22. I've never tried 500 lol.
If you want to shoot things at 500 buy a 308 and a 500 dollar scope.
>>
Worth picking up a DP 12 gen 2 or is it just a gimmick?
>>
>>61611070
By high precision do you mean those heavy barreled single shot 22s of boredom that olympians use?
>>

Lmfao lol
>>
>>61605507
Too bad we can't get them used cheap like in the States.
>>
>>61611080
Yeah it's a gimmick. Just buy a maverick or a mossberg. Mossberg sells really neat 3 barrel package shotguns. You get a shorty, a rifle barrel, amd a long barrel with interchangeable chokes. You literally need not buy another shotgun.
>>
>>61611019
>Not going to waste my time with a .22
>will look into Ruger 10/22
Just gonna chalk that up to you being a super newfag but let's be real here you can blast anywhere from x1.5 to x2 as much .22 as .223 for the same cost and there are very few .223 rifles worth considering, those of which are happen to be significantly more expensive which offsets any "savings" you might get from shooting .223 / 5.56 surp ammo. The SKS is still worth it, you can get a brand new chink SKS for 500 & ammo is still in the .30 /cpr range which can't really be beat by any other caliber / rifle combo as far as cost savings are concerned.

yeah so realistically he'll spend 3-4 years behind bars, it'll be in a low to medium security prison at most

i'm sure he's getting his shit pushed in nonetheless. shouldn't have been so stupid. shame Trudeau passed new "hate speech" laws so he can just chuck anyone in prison for anything now. we'll probably all be in prison 5 years from now for posting frogs and cyberbullying the prime minister.

>>
>>61611095
An actual precision .22 rifle is gonna be well over 1k, a 10/22 carbine is like 400 bucks and good to go out of the box & shoots sub MOA so I don't see your point
>Verification not required
>>
>>61611095
Explain yourself. I own a bolt action and a 10/22. The ruger is just as accurate and reliable if not more so.

Don't get a PCC unless it uses Glock mags. Widest selection and options for sizes. Plus when the handgun ban is lifted in 2025 you'll want to get yourself a Glock, it's obligatory.

I mean it's doable but it's literally gonna be almost indirect fire at that point and you're likely using sub sonic to begin with, that has little use outside of putting holes in paper
>>61611104
Those new chink SKS are mint condition and are solid rifles they aren't like the chink guns of old comprised of drift wood & beaten to shit in Vietnam

>>
>>61611116
I figure if you're shooting .22 to learn to shoot you may as well try to push your distance
the same fundamentals will come into play with any long range shooting, 5-600m+ on a .22 is just as hard as shooting any other round you still have to compensate for elevation, wind, etc.

>>

10/22s are fun to shoot, look good, and work perfectly. 10/22 haters are on the same level as glock haters.

> 5-600m+ on a .22 is just as hard as shooting any other round you still have to compensate for elevation, wind, etc.
Exponentialy harder and that’s one of the reasons people lob rounds out there with .22’s.
>>
>>61611163
yeah at least it doesn't share mags with a pistol so you're limited to 5 rounds instead of 10 and you can't use it outside of a range so you've obtained a 16" barreled gun in an obscure and relatively weak caliber that can only be shot 5 rounds at a time at a jewish range

literally trying to think if there's a better way to waste +$2,500 and I'm coming up blank

>>61611164
A model 69 and it's spent its 70 year life blowing the heads of grouse. The 50yo 10/22 does the same.
>>
>>61611182
I would argue a .22 at 700m is about the same as pushing most rounds out to 1000m
check the texas plinking videos, most guys with their gucci set ups can't even put a hit on target at that range

fundamentals matter and you can learn those same fundamentals on a .22 that's really my only point
>>
>>61611155
>practical benefit
I shoot for fun, don't lecture us about "practicality".
>>
>>61611177
I have a 10/22, it’s fun to shoot. I even have a well built Dlask 10/22 that shoots very well.
It’s not even on the same level as my Bergara .22 or other 22’s I have.
>>
>>61611094

>>
>>61611214

>>
Baking bread boys hang on
>>
>>61611193
Holy fuck no. 22’s can be used to learn fundamentals and train with but to say 22 at 700 is the same as 1000 with popular centerfire rounds used to reach out there is ridiculous.
22’s way harder, even just seeing impacts or misses that far with a 22 is hard.
>>
>>61611167
Long range shooting is fun but with a full powered cartridge is quite a bit easier to get the hang of and very lethal past 1000 yds. Long range shooting with a 22lr is challenging and fun I'll give you that.

>>
>>61611238
Even with a spotter I'd imagine it's quite a bit harder since thered be no vapor trail to follow w/ a .22 at long range. Challenge isn't a bad thing though and the fundamentals are the same.
>>
>>61611241
That’s 3moa
>>
>>61611186

>>
>>61611191
That’s why your saying bolt action 22’s and 10/22’s have no differences.
>>
>>61611237
the fundamentals of long range shooting are much more than just taking a shot that's the point
you still need to build your house

>t. nolongrange
yes they're hard to see
that's why you have a guy spotting your shots
>>
>>61611244
what the fuck are you hunting that's smaller than 3 inches at 100 yards
>>
>>61611241
I don't doubt that but you start to see some serious drop in velocity around 70 yards with most .22 loadings and it only gets exponentially worse by 100 and beyond. I find most of my kills tend to be headshots so it hasn't mattered too much but you won't be dumping as much energy on your targets plus you have to deal with the rainbow ballistic arc
