>synthetic stock does suck a bit of the soul out, as there is no longer any wood on the rifle.
Wanted to reply to this last thread, old school synthetic stocks can still have sovl, hell I'd consider the m16a4 to be sovl despite having a quad rail.
>>
Not anon who wanted a different angle. Also the shape of the checkering makes more sense once you see the shape of the buttstock.
Reminder the 99 was manufactured from 1899-1997. It's a shame they didn't keep it going for 2 more years. It is an extremely accurate and reliable hunting rifle. The most well known chambering was the 300 savage, precursor to the 308 winchester.
>>
>>61955139
Rifles don't have souls. Art has soul. Synthetic stocks can be art. Wood isn't always art. There are plenty of wood stocks out there that are utter shit.
>>
>>61954891
Lurk more newfag dipshit
>>
>>61955139
i never liked that my valmet was mix of wood and synthetic. the stock being the only wood part seemed logical to swap to synthetic for consistency plus the club foot stock wasnt appropriate for the sniper/dmr look
>>
>>61955228
Id be ok with a mix such as the op image but yeah clubfoot is out of place on a rifle. Do you have any shorter mags for it? I feel like a 20 rd would be a good size for a dmr larp
>>
went to my dnr range a few weeks ago and had a woods cop sitting outside of the range entrance ask if i had the papers for my nr rifle and shotgun, i said “i don’t believe i need to carry any papers for these” and he said “it isn’t a big deal”, showed him my guns in the trunk and my license and got on with my range time, am i missing something or was i dealing with a retard?
>>
>>61955265
yeah my other mags are all 20 round size, this one is just someones conversion of an m14 30 rounder which are crap for running in pouches
>>
moving to the belleville area soon any anons know of shooting spots around? seems like slim pickings for crown land and most of the ranges are already full for the year been spoiled for choice where i am now

Most cops don't know anything about the law in general or gun law in particular, and if they do, they'll still do shit like that to trip you up and catch you in a lie or something so they can fuck you.
>>
>>61955599
This. Cops aren’t required to know the law at all. It’s a joke. Police as an institution are allowed to turn away candidates with too high an IQ lmfao.
This is why lawyers are important, and why you never, ever, ever, ever talk to police.
Ever.
>>
>>61955456
Your license comes with a print out you need to carry which states the conditions for your license, it also says you must be able to produce it on request by a peace officer.

So your answer should have been yes and then show them the little slip of paper that is essentially blank.
>>
>>61955664
That’s not true, that’s only for your RPAL, not your PAL
>>
>>61955664
I didn’t know about that until a buddy pointed it out maybe 2 years into having my license, no idea if it’s required at all but they love their vagueness with the law so I just carry a print off of it in my wallet just in case

shoot for accuracy in a natural, unmaintained environment at unknown ranges. practice alternating between shooting (for accuracy) and moving between cover. have someone else load your mags with a random amount of ammo, and practice your reloads. introduce cardio to your practice. shoot at moving targets. combine all five.

Yo boys, has anyone ever built an ACR before? I'd love to build one since I don't like the other 5 rifles we're allowed to own but dunno how hard it'll be with sourcing parts. Or should I just buy/build an AR180B?

If Franklin Armoury gets their shit together and puts out parts kits/kids uppers then we'd be set, I've seen those lowers sold at RDSC and I never really got why anyone would replace their lower on an ACR of all things

At the current cost of 223 vs 7.62Ă—39 getting a 223/556 rifle at this point isn't cost efficient if you don't already have thousands of rounds stacked. Can buy an sks and upwards of 7k rounds in crates for the same cost as a jewvor, with only one mag and now ammo
>>
>>61958744
Suckling on a drying teete. The cheap x39 will dry up just like the cheap 7.62x51 did. New production x39 costs more than .223/5.56 does, it costs nearly or as much as .308.
Aswell the firearms are quite universally less modernized and practical.

Just gotta email them for shipping but it’s not too bad - comes to like 40 cpr or so which is honestly better than norinco red box
5.56 isn’t hard to stack - the freedom buckets are a Godsend because it’s 300 rounds at around 70-80cpr - which is a good amount to buy at once, and you’rs getting m193 which is a killer round

Brother I love my sks but its not a modern gun with modern comforts and making it a tranny with an archangel stock or whatever doesn’t count as a modern gun.
Milsurp is supposed to be fun cheap shit to shoot in the woods.
A tavor is a modern service rifle. Totally different, both fun has hell.
It doesn’t have to be either/or, but if shit is really hitting the fan, a 5.56 gun with the most common detachable magazines in the world, with great ballistics because of the long barrel, good rail space for lasers, lights, and sights, and one that can be fully stripped easily (look how many people a month ask about their sks trigger groups, myself included) is going to win over a 70+ year old military surplus cosmoline machine

Even if every seat in Parliament was held by a staunch pro-gun MP, amending the constitution would still be impossible because you would never get Quebec, BC, not probably Ontario and the Atlantic provinces to agree.
>>
>>61962198
I don't disagree, this country is gay and I wish it would break apart into smaller and hopefully less gay states. But if we're talking about reality and if you want to make guns a constitutional right, you need to amend the constitution. To do that, you need to get some configuration of seven provinces comprising at least 50% of the population to agree, which in practice means you need at least two of Quebec, Ontario, or BC.

The idea is that you are going to spend alot more time scouting(walking around), then you are actually shooting. So the former should weigh more heavily into the build considerations.

You can pick up a bolt action 12 (pic rel) or 20 gauge with detachable mag for 200$, give or take 50$.
Obviously not good for long range prairie hunting but makes a good brush gun.
I carry it for Grizz but would be good for rabbit or grouse, and even deer for close range.

Honestly, buy an SKS + ammo spamcan for 1000$.
Do everything gun, hunt with soft point bullets (practice with surplus steel core, buy 1 box of hunting bullets, carry but do not shoot until needed.)
Go to range, practice with many clipazine of cartridge. Learn cheaply.

From what I understand the rail looks like that on the SL8 because its made out of glass reinforced plastic so it needs more meat for it to be durable. The steel rail, which I believe is the one in your picture, is easy to swap out. I'm not sure if it matters if you have the SL8-4 or 5. From what I've read you can pretty much convert it into a G36 with a $1000 dollar investment. on top of the 2k purchase price. Making it 3k for essentially a G36, which normally would cost you 6-10k. I think the top rail is more aesthetically unpleasing than the thumb stock, so that's where I would start.

45LC wont fit in the chamber of mine.
Has to be 44 Mag.
People at the range have been saying i need to do a video tutorial, might eventually.

Quick summary:
Prime case, load standard powder charge (12 grains Hodgdon's LilGun).
Place 44/45 cal cap&ball revolver Felt Wad over powder with dowel. Compress.
Melt beeswax in jamjar, pour into case and nearly fill. Drop in either 40cal muzzleloader round ball or single 000 buckshot pellet. Allow to cool.
Trim off excess splashed beeswax on sides of case with pocketknife. Use oily rag to clean off the rest.

And that's pretty well it.
Only economic way to shoot 410 these days whatwith shortages.

Is there a snug fit between the walls of the cartridge and the projectile, or do you count on the beeswax to hold everything in place and fill gaps?
>>
>>61970678
The Felt Wad expands to seal the bore behind the projectile.

The beeswax keeps it in place and provides crimp strength to ensure the LilGun reaches proper pressure.

It's alright. My controller has really bad drift now, and I hate paying for online. Thankfully I'm game sharing with my friends so we're all paying for online together. I've mostly migrated to PC now though and I mostly use it for Netflix and shit. I'd recommend saving a couple more dollars and getting a PC

Has anyone tried stuffing a bunch of box cutter blades and rubbing alcohol in a 12 guage shell and firing it? Would this be useful for home defence?
>>
>>61971546
No but I have welded a cock to my prostate. It squirted then I squirted then we both squirted together and giggled.

The choices and price variations are endless. Just get something in .308 or 30/06.

How the hell do I adjust the rear site on a type 81m. Doesn't move when I turn it, doesn't move when I pull the left one out. Am I missing something or is it just stuck?
