Top mine.
>>62910732Don't wanna hijack your thread but I was watching a couple Mishaco videos about the HD-18 and he seems to imply that they were actually manufactured by Izhmash. If that's the case I guess there are no more coming in?
>>62910859My brother in Christ, I bought this for way too much at auction because it was FEG's licensed Dragunov; I didn't do much research beforehand. If it was manufactured by Izhmash, then it is way more valuable than I thought. Personally, I think it was worth it because the manuals are top notch and every tool I could want was included in the case.
oh we're doing IRL collections then?
>>62910859They are, autist with a metal spectrometer did the analysis and it was an exact match. They're being imported in small batches because the laundering process is time consuming. Someone is gonna go to jail when all is said and done but they're fine to own and purchase ofc. Expect the price to go up after that revelation is made though.
>>62911233Are you saying my HD-18 is gonna be worth even more?!? (as if I'd sell my prized possession)
>>62910732I might be able to compete. But man is it gonna be cringe.
Knaifu (not pictured): my peanits I try to top nothing, but just wish to participate.

>>62910732I don't own my knaifu as I can't justify spending 400€ for a knife. But it would be the extrema ratio dagger made for the 1° reg paras tuscania used during enduring freedom.>>62910859they are 100% made from izhmash parts, look at some threads on the files, some even still had the izhmash serial number and factory markings.
bump
>>62910732I don't feel like taking new pics because I'm lazy

My Spacebar is the only memorabilia I have of my waifu.
Anyone have a template?
>>62918128Sorry anon, you got to show off your physical collection this time

>>62920059How's that variable POSP holding up? I hear they have a ton of problems. Zero shift on zoom adjust, breaking, parts coming loose.
All jokes aside im just bustin yer balls OP. I actually think your HD-18 is a nice piece. Cosmetic compromises aside FEG seems to have actually nailed the important stuff.I’m actually not a boomer seething that his artificially unobtanium ‘investment’ might not be worth as much now. I just like to larp as one.I’m actually a millenial thats fucking stoked more of these are coming i to the market because now it might mean i can source (aka hoard) spare parts & mags for mine at more reasonable price point. I hunt with mine so flood the market for all i careSVDs for everybody
>>62920136I love it. Never had a problem with mine but granted mine is a relatively newish/recent model and manufacture and probably would rank on the much higher end of what Belomo makes/offers as far as their overall product catalog is concerned. It certainly wasnt cheap i’ll admit but the build quality absolutely lives up to the price point IMO. Rugged as hell too - can pop it on and off and bang it around and never really loses zero which is what i love about them generally. That said im not surprised people have reported QC issues with other POSPs as some of them can be pretty janky. I have an older fixed 6x24 POSP that literally cracked itself apart on the range and i didnt notice it until it finally would stay put. Mileage will vary and you do get what you pay for:But as for my (limited) experience i swapped out the original fixed 4x24 PSO for the variable a few years ago and never looked back
>>62920136>>62920273For comparison here’s the shitty POSP i mentioned that oofed itself apart. I dis manage to repair it by cannibalizing a replacement piece off of a spare aftermarket mount (also pictured) which actually worked pretty well but even though it’s “fixed” i have no desire to use it again anytime soon. You can discern the massive difference in build quality between the two just from the pictures but its similarly obvious when you touch/hold them in your hand too.So as i sayalways do your research and shop carefully when you can.
>>62910732
>>62920364They have the same mounts, so I don't think the price is indicative of quality here. Its just a fact that variable scopes while more complex and expensive, are also easier to break because there's more inside them to break. Congratulations on your luck though. I didn't want to risk it for the price and just ordered a fixed 8x. I wish I could've trusted the variable scopes enough to get one.
>>62920577I dont think you really understand the point i’m trying to make as you seem to think that just because something is inherently more mechanically complex that it must also mean that it is automatically more fragile or going to be unavoidably prone to more error/breakage than a simpler design. You are failing to account for the vast differences in building materials, parts choice (like springs and nuts), and craftmanship/attention to detail that make a huge difference in how well something is destined to actually perform at it’s intended purpose. A variable scope that is actually made out of good materials and executed/crafted properly will probably perform better than a fixed scope made by someone cutting corners and using cheap chinesium. This is especially true for scopes like PSOs and POSPs. Price by itself doesnt prove anything, but it does give you a reference point to sense whether you are in the ballpark or likely dealing with a “too good to be true” situation. As for my particular case, it wasnt luck. I had experience with these types of scopes, knew how to evaluate good examples versus bad ones, knew exactly what i wanted from the outset before i started shopping around, and asked lots of goodquestions before i eventually picked the one i did. i dont trust anything. I verify. That said i do have a pretty high risk tolerance in general so maybe that makes the ultimate difference. Either way i was never worried not then and not ow.Anyway happy for u and your fixed 8x tho congrats.
>>62920910No, I think there's a misunderstanding here. I'm not understanding how you're ranking the variable as a higher quality scope than the fixed. POSPs are not quality scopes no matter which model you get. They're well accepted to be mediocre and hit or miss. The 4-12 is not made to better tolerances or out of higher quality parts or materials than the cheap 4x ones. The only things they've really changed over the years are the diopters, finishes, and battery systems. All the rest is the same between them.
>>62920947>they’re just not quality scopes!>he insisted nervouslywell my several years of personal hands-on experience working with the ones i own would seem to prove otherwise but whatever i really dont care about convincing you i’m content to keep enjoying my life and wish you a good night.I was just trying to help andlet u know that if you’re too scared to give em a try all i can say is you’re def missing out, but being that your mind was clearly made up beforehand on the matter everything else subsequent to that just seems to be you trying to reassure yourself. And i say there’s nothing inherently wrong with wanting that : )take care
>>62920947Third party anon here. Its not the design thats the issue. Its the manufacturer The real military PSO scopes are alright, I have a few. HOWEVER, the POSP are fucking garbage. Literally everything I've every bought from Belomo has been shit. Its a Belorussian company that makes all of those now. The last POSP I bought from them had a loose eye box. I could rotate the scope with my fingers. I've bought several dovetail mounts from them too and every single one of them one only painted on ONE side. Somebody just spray painted it on one side and never flipped it over.
>>62921320>eyebox I mean eye piece
Noa is Love, Noa is Life.
>>62917458Red thing > blue thing
>>62921320I've had a POSP and 2 NPZ optics before with the 8x coming in soon. I wish NPZ made higher magnification optics that didn't have a super tiny objective lens.Or that they were available at all.
