Most people don’t have actual opinions — or, more accurately, opinions are formed to align with a power axis. Power relations is the reason for the phenomena of polarization. Like how a girlfriend / wife will take on the hobbies and views of her partner, except in a societal sense. Very few people will tolerate the risk of forming views outside of a power axis and express those views publicly. Ie, a communist feels compelled to also take on wokeism so that he fits into a prevailing power axis and because not doing so will result in ostracization even by other communists.
