Most recent purchase judgement thread
Your most recent purchase gets judged by autistic people
I'll start
>>
Nice purchase. Both the gun and the mags are ultra reliable if a bit punchy because it's blowback. You'll want to replace the safety that digs into most people's hands and maybe the pistol grip
>>
>>64531627
will. love the magpul 35 rd mags. eventually gonna get a suppressor and maybe upgrade the bolt to that nexus one because it reduces recoil and handles suppressors and shit ammo even better
>>
>>64531546
>scorpion
>9mm
CZ needs to make a "Emperor Scorpion" in .45 and 10mm.
>>
>>64531649
Those caliber PCCs don't sell. 9mm does. Only some niche ones like the SLUMP 45 Stribog can exist because they offer something close to what is unobtainable on the civilian market for collectors.

>>

I think it works with the dark green. Especially with the mag and sights also being black.

It works when the receiver is black and the furniture is green, not the other way around, much less when the furniture is inconsistently colored.

Tomorrow I'm going to do the paperwork for this mystery meat M16A1 that my gunsmith got me for $750...

Price corresponds to condition. Plus 4 original packed Colt magazines cost me like 1/4 of the rifle.

Rate my first 1911 boyos. She’s a 1976 Commander in decent shape. A few scratches in the nickel finish but other than those small blemishes it appears very well kept. My first 45. Had been eyeing a few Norincos on boomerbroker as everyone says they are shit and I wanted a bit of a project but the Colt sort of fell into my lap and I couldn’t say no. Not really a steal by any means but doubt I’ll find another one for 800 anytime soon.

Congrats fellow czechfag. Got myself one of these 3 weeks ago. This is my experience:
Outside - just ugly, cracked loose handguards with decades worth of grime underneath, buttplate on the verge of disintegration (the plastic apparently shrinks from exposure to elements so you can't just superglue it back together, you need to use some glue that fills voids), sights almost seized from all the grit (but zeroed!!!), caked-on orange shit on buttstock screw proved to be mostly Ethiopian clay and not rust. At some point in history the rifles were "refurbished" by placing on a rack and dousing in black spay paint, incl. furniture, sights or safety, the paint long since worn and chipped. Some noticeable wobble between upper and lower, but "Sullyho zbrojnice" has accu-wedge in stock for just 60 CZK so that will be dealt with.
Inside: perfectly serviceable and even reasonably clean, barrel pristine, worn finish on bolt and carrier, some erosion on the bolt tail (where it doesn't touch anything) and the edge of the gas key. New or as-new gas rings on the bolt, bolt tight inside carrier. Works smooth, bolt closes easily even when ridden home.
Gave her thorough cleaning and took her to the range, 110 rounds of S&B 55gr with 0 (zero) issues besides being smoky for the first 10-20 rounds.
Swapped handguards for NOS M16A2 round ones, needed a tiny bit of filing to fit but are rock solid, zero wobble yet can be taken off by a single human being. Triangulars look cooler but round ones are just better in everything else, and I kinda like the "Paul Harrell Special" look.

No regrets.
>>
>>64531546
Would look better with green brace and black pistol grip. Otherwise not a bad choice.
Got one myself, I don't like how wobbly the original stock is and would prefer aluminum receiver over plastic. The fact there was wear and peening on the rear edge of the bolt and around firing pin block right out of the box feels like a bad joke from CZ, but so far it's not getting any worse, and the gun just works, is easy to use, has been totally reliable so far, fun to shoot, cheap mags. I'd say 6/10, maybe 7/10: perfectly usable out of the box but also lot to improve.
>>
>>64533414
>$800
You got a decent price. I wouldn't say the Norincos are shit, per se, but they're definitely not what the average fudd is looking for in a 1911. I have one, and the fit and finish looks like crap. The slide serrations for example look like they were done by a drunk child slave with a Dremel. On the other hand, they are made of good quality forged steel, and mine works fine, even if it's not pretty. They're definitely shooters, not lookers, whereas older Colts are both.

NTA but looking good. I got an ancient Sedra AR two years ago and swapped out the triangle handguards as well. Mine is a C7 pattern, which is basically my favorite AR variant, and was in really good shape when I got it. I put a super safety in it and it is very controllable for decent bursts. I also changed the trigger because it was shit and added a chrome silicon buffer spring. No ragerts.

No, the mag is terrible. It's supposed to work better with 3 inch shells, but it doesn't. I also have 2-round mags that work better, but what's the point of a 2 round magazine?
It looks cool though, which is inportant because the shotgun sucks
Bolt shotguns are worse than any other option except break-action single barrels (double barrels beat bolt action). Only holds 2 or 3 shells, generally unreliable, and much slower to cycle
>>
>>64534008
Sounds about right. The one I have is a Glenfield Model 50 12ga. The two round mag works ok as well but that's the only mag option I've seen. The reason they had two round magazines was a lot of states turkey hunting restrictions only allow for three rounds in the gun total, including one in the chamber.

Thanks! I have no idea what the country of origin is. I'm guessing Southeast Asia. A few years ago the same company imported M16's here from the Philippines and Thailand. But I haven't met the owner for quite a while. However, this company has strong ties to Israel, Africa, and the Balkans... so who knows.

I just noticed that since I brought the rifle home, my cat has been very restless... and regularly freaks out at one in the morning. She is completely bristling, terrified, hissing like crazy and staring into the darkness of the empty living room.

>>64533608
Nazdar!
I agree, from the outside those rifles look very beaten and the thick layer of black paint chipping off doesn't improve it. The surface underneath has a nice vintage wear.

Inside, the rifle is in very good condition, as you describe. And I agree that it works perfectly... now on Saturday I forgot it in the car on the way to the shooting range. And through 100 GGG 55grs + some 30ish S&B 55grs there was not a single peoblem, she was runnig pretty well and smooooth. The zeroing seemed to be OK-ish too.

I have experience with the A1 at work. This rifle is one of the better ones that IW brought here and we bought it as a relatively retired surplus.
We used it as a test mule for STANAG / AEP97 procedures.

I personally fired in full auto at least 2500 rounds from it in one day. (In total around 5000 rounds in one morning... we took turns with a colleague and at the end of the test, after each magazine, we poured her guts through witj konkor). When I saw the plastic table melting under it, I thought the rifle was fucked...

However, when they cleaned it (with ultrasound) The barrel and receiver look intact, as do the upper surfaces. This convinced me not to be afraid of a beaten up looking M16. Then when I saw the price and the gunsmith told me he had picked the best one from a bunch of the worst ones... I bought it straight away via WhatsApp.

NTA (actually this one >>64533608) but my source claims that the current lot of beat up M16A1s come from a vendor in Austria, who imported a large batch from Ethiopia sometime before the coof. Nicer rifles were picked and gradually sold off at higher prices all over Central Europe until there were no pretty guns left, at that moment they reportedly struck a deal with Rudolf from ZS to buy all the leftovers in one batch at clearance price.

Sidenote: If they came from Latvia, they would have been much nicer. Interestingly, they use them as ceremonial rifles for their Honor Guard unit (while the 2 neighbouring Baltic countries keep donated M14s for that purpose). Have seen them in person some 13 years ago on the eve of their Independence Day.

Picrel is my favorite detail about my rifle.
>>
>>64534358
>The surface underneath has a nice vintage wear
That's why I'm tempted to strip the paint one day.
Others suggested to have it cerakoted, but I'd only do that as a part of some major rework, like getting a shorter barrel and carbine furniture and turning it into a Model 653 clone, which is probably not gonna happen.

BTW are you by any chance that anon who took a pic of Uzi in an oven w/ gas running and a German FAL next to it? Those little 3D prints suggest so...

The guy you asked here, you sound butthurt even though I would say in the continuation that it was a great purchase.

If you insist on a comparison, it has a better gas system that handles recoil better and accepts a wider variety of shells without tuning, which is perfect if you want to use light loads and or birdshot sometimes. It also has a higher quality barrel. Lastly, like the other guy said, it weighs slightly less. Since Beretta was forbidden from importing the 1301, they had to make a factory here and start making 1301 clones, which they call the Beretta A400; the A300 remains the lesser economy model.

>>64535507

Those first batches were really nice. However, people chose rifles in the best condition directly in Zelenáč. If you look at the thread dedicated to M16 on Střelectví forum, there are some really nice pieces that were on sale during the first waves of imports. Through a colleague, I asked IW about the state of imports... they told me that all the good rifles are currently being bought up at UA and there are no new pieces on the horizon. Only inferior ones will appear.

In the spring I went to look at a rifle in Liberator and the guy even ask for 40k... it was in the same condition as the anon's>>64533608... so I fucked out and asked IW.

part 3 of
>judgement thread
Once again, enjoy your purchases; these silly/nitpicky "judgements" are meant to be slightly amusing, not a genuine criticism of the guns.

>>64535894
>>64537889
The PPK/S. It's not as compact as the real PPK and doesn't have the nice long barrel of the PP. A real compromise between two better guns.

>>64536720
The Beretta PX4, truly one of the most hipster handguns Beretta has made. Beretta said “let’s make a polymer wondernine,” then gave it the trigger reach of a garden rake and a DA pull measured in geological epochs. It truly is a gun that only exists so custom shop Langdon Tactical can upgrade it for a premium.

>>64536742
The "right arm of the free world," this is the gun that Rhodesia trusted, and it just wasn't enough.

>>64537181
Ah, yes, the rifle version of the derringer. This gun is perfect for gun autists, so out of everyone here in this thread, you, sir, are the most /k/. 10/10

>>64537880
Almost a forgotten weapon, as anyone who looks at this design and/or shape will think of the inferior Canik instead.

>>64537955
Congratulations, new 1911 owner, you have bought a pretend 1911 from a company that's pretending to be a different company that went bankrupt. All the 1911 owners will judge your piece because you paid more than what you would have for a Tisas, and you got MIM internals rather than forged internals.

>>64538029
The HK P30. It’s the gun that HK fans swear “feels perfect in the hand” because they’ve swapped every backstrap and side panel multiple times until their fingers went numb.

new? 44 years of owning 1911s. Never without at least 1. Usually multiples. Currently 5.

First, tisas would never make my collection. Second, the mim parts are already gone.

You own multiple, and you still chose a Springfield? You're crazy.

Okay.

>You own multiple, and you still chose a Springfield? You're crazy.

The sad part is that I have 2 springers, and I don't like springfield guns. Never have. Single stack I bought sight unseen only to find it wasn't what I thought it was. The double stack is because it what I thought I always wanted. To be honest, it's a pig. But that should make recoil very light. I have a cz tso that already fills that niche though. Once I take it to the range, I will decide if I keep it. I talked to someone tonight that may take the single stack off my hands for a minor profit. My STI will never be sold. My Bul/DE is arguably the slickest action of any. My restored colt is too classic to go anywhere.
>>
>>64538370
I thought about buying a Springfield back when they had double-stack 2011s in .40 (I like .40 and I like 10mm), but when they discontinued the .40 variant and started making their double-stack 2011 a 9mm, I lost interest again.

Magpul's biggest fan. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but try the BCM rail covers. It feels crazy good on any rail that has the diagonal MLOK slots.

Mossberg 500 gunsmith special. Found in a pawn shop labeled "hobo shotgun." Bought it for $150. Been fixing it up.

Had a bad elevator assembly and needed some work on the shell stop in the loading tube. Got that done, removed the tape, and I'm repainting it today.
>>
>>64541060
Hope you haggled a bit and didn't just pay the sticker price. 150's not great for a broken shotgun
>>
>>64541159
I argued it down to $120. I mostly pick up gunsmith specials to fix up as a hobby.

Fixed it up, gave it a coat of only the finest Rust-Oleum. I'd like to find one of those old butler creek folding wire stocks. Make it into my shit kicking around the woods gun.
