>survivedReminder, if you're not capacity maximizing then you're doing 9x19 wrong
>>64925997Bruh one shot to the leg would have been plenty
>>64926101Oh well sweetie why don't they just get a crisis councilor there to talk to him while you're at it?!?!
>>64925997He was dropping on the first shot pedobin
>>64926127You joke, but there's no way this guy wasn't sick with a probably treatable condition.
>>64926152>walks at cop with a weaponYeah, terminal retardation.
i've been thinkling latlely, and I am convinced that i should purchase a Glock 30S to be my concealed carry gun.>compact>reliable>11 round capacity which is fantastic for it's caliber>chambered in .45 ACP for ultimate stopping powah>"S" means it's more slim compared to the Glock 30 Having fallen for the 9mm and .380 propaganda in the past, I am now convinced this handgun is the ultimate carry gun. It's compact, [seems to be] very reliable, has great capacity, and has STOPPIN POWAH. What would the downside POSSIBLY BE
>>64926172>.45 ACP for ultimate stopping powahThen get a fully supported chamber, 24lbs recoil spring and shoot .45 Super.
>>64926183We're getting into +P .38 in an airweight territory
>>64926183god wills it
>>64926187>+P .38 in an airweight.38 +P is just marked differently like 9x19 +P. Same brass. .45 Auto, +P and Super are all different.
+p doesn't actually do anything fyi
>>64926209I load my own .38 so yes it does.
>>64926209
>>64926172I have nothing against the Glock 30S and even think it's a fine carry piece. Personally, I'd rather have 15(+1) of 9 over 10 (+1) of .45 ACP, especially in a compact
>>64926183>and shoot .45 Super.listen dude just because you know what .45 super is doesn't mean you should always suggest it.
>>64926288>knowI mean, I also roll my own. Though the latest test batch is essentially +P++ and still not at maximum pressure.
>>64926298If you arent blowing out primers you arent handloading often enough
>>64926308>blowing out primersNot my style. I'm more of an on the cusp of popping primers kinda guy.
>>64926172Objectively correct train of though.
Guise, what should my first handgun be? This will be for conceal carry, home defence, and SHTF. I live in Based Town, USA and I HATE racial minorities (except Asian girls ofc). What caliber and gun are the current meta rn? I have a slight preference for a revolver with a visible green laser.
>>64926452On the off chance this is sincere, the Glock 19 or one of if it's clones (RXM, M&P 2.0c) would make a great allrounder. Revolvers don't exactly make a great first gun and certainly not a "jack of all trades"
>>64926322Never really saw the point in reloading for pistol. Not that people can't do what they want of course, but it seemed kinda pointless to me
>break gun by being a gorilla>manufacturer laboriously diagnoses problem by video call>sends not one>not two>not three>but four replacement parts>also include replacement of a totally unrelated part just because there is a new iteration>oh and also we're in town this week, why don't you swing by and we'll do the repairs? Now THAT'S customer service.
>>64926483Wow, you gun breaks? lol, should've bought a Glock or HK. Those are indescribable.
>>64926483That's real fuckin' neato that the Ounce guys are willing to stand by their product to that extent. I hope they never lose their soul.
>>64926452
>>64926511
>>64926233i mean sure but i'd rather gamble with 10 rounds of .45 than 15 of 9mm. Only 5 extra rounds afterall. I am thinking of Glocks though, and the 30S is smaller than the Glock 19, at least in length and height, so that's where most of my thought is
>>64926535Unless its .357 magnum and up (Even then youd want "screamer" loads) it really doesnt matter
> No girls allowed, that means you ppanon Got the tanfo today, also have a jericho to go with the sar CZ is last on the list
How come more handguns don't have barrels like this? Looks cool which is the only thing that matters
daily reminder that if you don't incapacitate your assailant with 8 (eight) rounds then you don't deserve to survive the encounter
>>64926467>seemed kinda pointlessFor 9x19mm yeah it's a waste of my time. But for .45 Auto, especially Super, .38 Special and .357 mag I save a ton of $. I can make funny loads like 150gr .45 Auto too. Haven't done that yet but I have bullets for them.
>>64926592Because you touch yourself at night. No but seriously, it is pretty sick. Speaking of which, I've been thinking of picking up a bobcat. Tomcat seems cool too but I hear of too many frame issues with those. And .22 is cheaper. Thoughts?
>>64926609what if there are 5 assailants and they attack me one-by-one like movie henchmen?
>>64926615>.38 Special and .357 magThese are the best imo, as well as bolt action rifles, I'm way too lazy to duck all around the range to pick up brass. And pistols just spit that out of the ejection port randomly.
>>64926628what are the chances of such encounter.
>>64926592Because almost all centerfire handguns have locking breeches with enclosed slides. You can only get away with that weakening feature in .32 and .22, and even then the Tomcat pays for it with cracked frames
>>64925997He just died in the hospital today. >>64926101Shoot until you stop the threat.
>>64926546it probably doesn't but likewise cutting down to 9mm doesn't massively increase round count so i'll still take the .45
>>64926701post a box of the ammo you use in your .45
>>64926566OMG!!!!!! HI TANFO-ANON!I'm seriously between a SA 1911 or a Tango 1911
>>64926701I would find it hard to argue that the increase in "stopping power" from .9mm to .45 ACP is worth the drop in additional rounds, not to mention the increased difficulty in follow up shots
>>64926634>way too lazy to duck all around the range to pick up brass>he doesn't go full brass goblinNGMI
>>64926735nigger i don't shoot or carry any .45 hence why im debating getting a Glock 30S. I have fallen for the 9micropenismeter and .380 conspiracy while i should realistically carry .40 at the least (Don't have a Glock 27 but may get one just because i have a lot of .40)
>>64926836You're a retard if you think that throwing ten 230 grain projectiles downrange at 820 FPS is going to be more effective than fifteen 124 grain ones at 1220 FPSActually, you're a retard in general
VP9 or PDP?
>>64926851probably the one that doesn't get a dead striker if you bump it
>>64926749NTA but historically the increased stopping power of .45 over 9mm was what convinced the US army to adopt .45 ACP over 9mm Luger when trying to find a successor for their M1892s, but with the caveat that the Army had long fixated on .44 and .45 caliber sidearms before then and high-capacity 9's weren't a thing back during the 1911 trials. If anon's really worried about dropping some juiced-up junkie and he'd rather have .45 it's not wrong, part of the drive to .45 was PTSD from drugged-up Moro Philippinos not dropping to .38 LC.On the flipside those trials were well over a century ago and a good modern 9mm hollowpoint expands really nicely. Furthermore, .45 ACP ball is like 1.5x to 2x the cost of 9mm ball and even in the doublestack 2011 world near flush fit 19 round 9mm magazines exist while flush .45 is still only 13 rounds. It's generic advice but I'd HIGHLY recommend >>64926172 >>64926836 rent a Glock 30S or even a 21 and see how those feel, since a more straightforward solution would just be to train more with 9mm and find a 9mm hollowpoint your current carry likes.>t. 10-rounder HK45 fag
>>64926851vp9a1
>>64926857I don't know why, but for some reason the HK 45 feels off, like if the turks made a copy of the USP 45
>>64926857I don't have an issue with anyone preferring one round over another. I have a 9mm, .357 magnum and a .45 in regular EDC rotationMy issue is him acting like 9mms are squirt guns and .45 ACP guns launch cannonballs. That reeks of fudd or noguns.
>>64926808Brass goblin is literally sweeping my brass with a push broom mid magazine
>>64926866It’s the worst HK handgun, and seperately, the worst .45 handgun out there that’s from a major manufacturer out there, it just feels like the whole thing was designed by committee in the worst way.
>>64926851PDP, Walther doesn't hate you
>>64926876>he isn't thee brass goblin at any range he shoots atBeta lil bitch
>>64926877>It’s the worst HK handgunwhat about the CC9?
>>64926875>9mms are squirt guns and .45 ACP guns launch cannonballsYeah but that's the fuckin truth though
>>64926875Anon, put a round next to another.
>>64926127I'm not shedding any tears man but that was very excessive. I'm also sure some shots missed and/or went past the guy.
>>64926866>>64926877Yeah, the 45's definitely an oddball. I probably should've gotten a USP, but now I already have it and a bunch of mags so I'd rather not bother trading/replacing it.>>64926875That's fair. I started typing before >>64926836 was posted so it didn't seem too anti-9mm to me
>>64926906>excessive
>>64926905>b-but it’s biggerA baseball is bigger than both. That doesn’t mean a baseball would be more effective..45 runs at half the pressure of a modern 9mm +P. No amount of obtuse fuddlore will ever contravene this.
>>64926906>very excessive>Better to just put one shot in his leg instead>Shoots his femoral artery>Dude bleeds out in seconds as the officers rush to get tourniquets
>>64926947Stop pretending to be retarded. Dude was almost still, officer could have shot into the shoulder or even the shins. Also I'm more concerned about stray bullets than having this retard live.
>>64926905>da boolet is biggerSo all you care about is the size of the bullet? Then would you rather be hit by a 230 grain, .45 inch projectile moving at 800 FPS or a 150 grain, .308 inch projectile moving at 3100 FPS?
>>64926849well i think you're a 9mm fag who can't even handle .40
I just like the muzzle flash
>>64926987There's a nice fireball when my .357 Magnum fires. I like it.
Opinions of Star 30(m)?Never heard of it, no idea where Spain falls under firearm quality.
No, really, why wasn't 40S&W loaded with 135gr@1300fps more often? That way all the numbers that describe it are bigger, and 9mmlets can't invent any cope.
>>64926983You don’t know shit about powerful handguns, you ugly little brown
I shoot retardmaxx .357 loads I make myself at the range, I carry a 9mm with +P 124 HSTs. I dont believe in pistol calibers saving my life over shot placement.
>>64926999I don't know of any Star that has a better than average reputation. I'd save that money for more ammo
>>64927001heavier projectiles are better for barrier penetration and have less deflection through mediums like autoglass and flesh (they travel straighter) that was a meaningful advantage of the .40 over 9mm, better barrier penetration due to the heavier 165-180 gr projectiles. 135 gr screamers have impressive gel damage but underpenetrate through explosive expansion and fragmentation. Maybe if someone could make a hardened core JHP where the pedals fragment off, so you get massive gel damage, fragmentation, and then a solid core than punches deep.
thoughts on RIA 1911s?
>>64927019They're fine, but Tisas ones are generally regarded as being nicer at the same price point.
>>64926966We are talking about two complete different kind of cartridges, on is a rifle and another a pistol. But your comparison is idiotic, a bullet is a bullet, I would rather not get shot, nor by a .22lr, nor by a .50 cal
>>64927024>TisasNTA but my gunsmith says otherwiseHe carriers neither in his shop
>>64927019>>64927024If you get either consider Wilson Combat springs. Someone had good luck with OEM Colt springs too recently.
>>64927024I heard Tisas guns were going to get more expensive soon. I wonder if RIA will reclaim the title of value champion after that.
I'm a prettyyyy new shooter and new to /hg/. I put fifty rounds of 9mm at 7 yards through my Glock 19 gen 6. I went for three distinct areas:>Head/neckI admit I played a little with the laser on that one so I was surprised I hit so many up there.>Roughly center massWhere most of my shots landed, but I think the grouping is pretty loose. I'm just proud there's at least some visible separation.>Lower bodyMaybe my worst, and the sight of a miss. Some notes from the range safety officer about getting better:>Improve grip (I am practicing at home)>Hide the bullets and rack the slide, practice grip, aim, and dry fire when at home>Snap caps (I've had these before I had live ammo lmao)Feels good man. Not the greatest but I do feel encouraged for the distance and >2 misses.
>>64926851The one with the best mouthfeel. From what I've heard they are pretty comparable shooters.>>64926877What's wrong with it?>>64926892What's wrong with the CC9?
>>64927032Do they have different weights than the factory springs or are they simply higher quality? I just got a Tisas GI model myself.
>>64927031is your gunsmith a cute indian girl from Chicago? If not I don't give a fuck, faggot.
>>64927038Assuming your POI, looks like recoil anticipation issues with the hits going low. Good dry fire practice should mediate this. A good strong grip too but holding a gun shouldn’t be that complicated, if you make your technique complicated then improving it will be even more complicated. A good intuitive technique is isoceles, just hold the gun out in front of you with two hands in a triangle looking down from above. Tense your arms and or push your elbows slightly upwards so that you’re impeding the gun coming directly back at you. Your palms should be pushing towards each other
>>64927038Excellent work, Anon. Keep it up. Just dryfiring at home puts you in like the top 5% of gun owners >>64927048Do you have to post the same gay images in every thread
>>64927048>CC9?IT'S NOT GERMAN!
>>64927027You’re the one trying to make mountains out of molehills when it’s demonstrably, mathematically true that 9mm and .45 perform very similarly. One is lighter and faster, the other heavier and slower..45 runs at literally HALF the PSI of 9mm +P. This isn’t to say that 9mm is super powerful, it has more to do with the fact that .45 is very conservatively loaded at 19k PSI. If you want a more powerful handgun round than 9mm, you need to look at ones that run at similar or higher pressures than 9mm, namely things like .38 Super and .45 Super and 10mm.
>>64927038found the dick shooter (based)
>>64927059Yeah, I think my big homework project is to realllly work on just a nice, simple, firm grip around the handle. I think I'm doing alright with it, but I also was told I'm "choking it" (lol) and I agree. When I let up on the grip and slackened a little more, the shots got better.I would also say I am working with snap caps/dry fire in a good trigger pull. I pay attention at the range to when I pull the trigger, if I can keep my barrel from drifting bottom left a bit. Too sudden and it jerks around a bit, and throws me off. So that's been good to work on too>>64927062Thanks anon. I take safety and practice seriously. This is a retarded comparison, I know, but learning to git gud with my glock, conceal, draw, aim, grip, load, unload, clear, rack, etc -- having to practice all that reminds me of when I was super into karate growing up lmao. Martial arts is different and physically demanding, I know, but the feel of wanting to level up something to protect myself is still there>>64927076>Dick shooterOnce my holster gets here I will try to appendix carry with a round chambered. But it does feel natural in my waistband... sagging my jeans... drivin' round the block in my '64...
>>64927038I’m glad you had fun, anon. Here’s a picture of my target from about the second time I shot my Glock. As you can see, I used to pull my shots low-right (I shoot left handed), just like you.
>>64927062Calm your perky little tits, sweetheart. I just saved that image yesterday and posted it for the first time today. Sorry I'm not your crush or whatever.>>64927063And?
>>64927064>.45 runs at literally HALF the PSI of 9mm +P.It literally does not.
>>64927081>Second time with glock>Absolutely fucking MOGGED me>Further distance tooWhy would you post this and absolutely BTFO- nah man. That's lovely, good groupings. Good work!!!>As you can see, I used to pull my shots low-right (I shoot left handed), just like you.I'm a right-handed shooter. I wonder if we had/have the same issue? What was your fix?
>>64927050Generally the US made springs are better quality and usually give a better feeling trigger pull too.
>>64927038>>64927081And here’s what I can do with a Glock now :)Keep dryfiring, you’re well on your way!
>>64927038Not bad for the distance and the first time, anon. Keep at it!
>>64927084It literally does. The CIP spec on .45 is 19k PSI. The CIP spec on 9mm is 34k PSI. The 9mm +P you get at any sporting goods store is 37k.
>>64927064I don't reload, but from what I understand 9mm evolve to become equal to .40s&w, but still far behind .45 and 10mm
>>64927082Cute doll.
>>64927085Naw, you’re doing well. Try not to tense up your firing hand fingers while you’re breaking the trigger, and you’ll see how the low left issue goes away. Only move your trigger finger.
>>64927101Apples to oranges. There is no CIP spec for 9mm +P.SAAMI spec for 45 is 21kpsi, 9mm 35kpsi, 9mm+P 37.5kpsi.Not only did you cherry pick your measurements but you still did your math wrong. 19 is more than half of 37.
>>64927103Both .40 and 10mm are more powerful than .45.>I don’t reloadWe can tell
>>64927080Ben Stoeger’s (very well respected shooter) tip was to hold the gun as hard as you can and then relax your middle finger which finds the appropriate amount of force onto the gun https://youtu.be/QHsFa1iDVOw?si=qUEV_GQrIdGg85Rm
>>64927092What holster(s) do you use for your Glonk
>>64927101.45 ACP is right at the amount of lethality that balances recoil, barrier penetration, and hollow point expansion. 9mm simply cannot balance all of those as well as larger diameter bullets. Pressure does not dictate lethality The FBI were totally right to download 10mm to the FBI Light load where is was basically .45 but higher capacity
>>649271039mm never became equal with .40
>>64927111Wrong. The spec for overpressure rounds is 10%. That you didn't know this is very damning. For CIP specced 9mm, that's 37.3k. For SAAMI specced 9mm, that's 38.5k. 19/37.3 is 50.9%. 19/38.5 is 49.35%.IT'S LITERALLY HALF, DOWN TO A PERCENTAGE POINTYou being buttmad about this isn't going to change the math. If you want a powerful .45 caliber round, then shoot .45 Super.
None of this matters.
>>64927054>cute indian girl from Chicago? If not I don't give a fuck, faggot>t.
>shot guy twice at the chest>he diesWOAH!
>>64926452g19/g45 or equivalent (M&P2.0 and Walther PDP compact models are my reccomends if you dont like glawks) da/sa pistols would be good too but ime the primo striker guns are much cheaper than similar quality hammer fires.sizing wise id go as close to full size as you can get that youre still willing to carry
>>64927133Pressure is complicated matter, some people measure it in cups, others measure it in psionic powers. Geometry is much simpler, even a monkey can understand. 45 ACP has double case capacity, and when it comes to what part of the case is actually available for powder, it's a bit more still.
>>64927133>The spec for overpressure rounds is 10%.Source?Where is this published?
>>64927125Abject fuddlore. Every actually relevant law enforcement and special forces group on earth that is issued a pistol is issued a 9mm. You are not smarter than the requisitions officers of every military on earth. The only edge-case in which .45 is still relevant is lethality while shooting subsonic loads, hence the loading for the Mk23 (which, incidentally, was dropped in 18 months for Glocks and STIs in .40 Smith and Wesson). .45 is a fun caliber. .45 is a comfy caliber. .45 is a historic caliber. But, .45 is not some magical man stopper. If you want a powerful, practical handgun load, look at 10mm.
>>64927146It's a reference
>>64927174.45 IS GOD'S CALIBER

I am, however, smarter than every 2nd Lieutenant.

>>64927195if you cannot detect a gunsmith cats reference you have no purpose being on /k/. I don't even like it that much since CZs are crap but I detected the reference >>64927201you don't necessarily need a fully supported chamber, it was designed so standard 1911s can shoot it, as long as you stay away from the .460 Rowland tier loads.
>>64927184The brass needs to handle it, it's the weak link. You'll need to increase recoil spring weight to tune for more powerful recoil. It is very unlikely that modern barrel or slide could suffer catastrophic damage from an overpressure round.
>>64927122For carry I use JMCKs. For competition I use Blade-Tech.
>>64927195>Söyboy shitI eat cows and sometimes birds, kid. Also how do you not know GSC?

>>64927205>you don't necessarily need a fully supported chamberif i remember correctly, most glocksplosions happened that way, due to brass failure at the unsupported position by the feed ramp, venting the gas downwards and cutting the frame.
>>64927003go back to 9mm little babby those extra 4 rounds will save you since you can't aim

>>64927314>build for 10mmIt's a .45, but the frame can also handle 10mm.
>>64927157>.45 ACP has double the case capacityLook at any reloading manual. You load .45 ACP with about 4.4 grains of Titegroup. You load 9mm with 3.8, and 9mm +P with about 4.2. .45 ACP is deloaded. That's why it has half the pressure of other handgun rounds. If you loaded the .45 ACP case to its capacity, you wouldn't have .45 ACP, YOU WOULD HAVE .45 SUPER. THAT'S WHAT .45 SUPER FUCKING IS.At least try to learn things without attempting to bullshit on /hg/. Everyone can see you're a retard who doesn't know what he's talking about.

>>64927388>I'm going to buy the 30SDo it, so we can laugh at your groups with it
>>64926592It's weak and only works for blowback guns. Because the front of the slide is fully open it's missing a bunch of material vs a conventional slide so the rear has to be bigger and heavier to compensate because blowback requires MASS. Which is why those berettas and their clones are wider than most .25/.32 pocket pistols.TL;DR too many drawbacks, almost no benefits.

>>64927505So that's a no?>>64927507Why?
You ever just... get the urge?
Anyone here know if the regular Ruger MK IV has a metal frame? I know the 22/45 frame is ploymer.
>>64927519There is a very high statistical probability that you’re gay
>>64927545Yeah
>>64927467if its within a foot, the forty fav will blow their brain out their ears
>>64927552ones in red are polymer frame, rest are aluminum or steeleasy way to tell is the grip angle, if its a 1911 style, its polymerif its more curved like a luger, its metal
>>64927545Are you still legally allowed to reassemble that gun there?
>>64927211Do you eat pork?
>>64927603?
>>64927587Alright I might pick up a basic one and get a pac-lite upper or a volquartsen clearance upper.
>>64927211>how do you not know GSCCartoons are for kidult scum
>>64927545>>64927552Positive, on both counts

I think anime is complete trash for shut-in faggots and is corrosive to broader culture, but even I recognize Rally (though I didn't realize she was supposed to be a jeet)t. on /k/ since 2009
>>64925994>>64926154P220 or USP for .45? I know we're not supposed to like Sig but I love my 40th 226 and M11-A1 and metal frame guns in general.
>>64927673I never knew Revy was supposed to be Chinese. I assumed she was Latina or some shit
>>64927608Sometimes but not often. Pork is kinda meh compared to beef, so it's gotta be one charming motherfuckin pig for me to eat it.
>>64927554You've been doing it for years. Oof.
>>64927631>filenameyou didn't actually find that MKIV hard to work on... did you? I put an aftermarket trigger in mine gave it a deep clean and found it quite simple
>>64927711it's easier than previous MKs, but those springs and detents were a bitch and a half nonetheless
>>64927684The USP45 series is my top favorite gun(s), so I'm pretty biased. I love my P226 navy though, so I can see the appeal of the P220. Theres an anon on here that posts his every thread, it makes me kindof want one. Also you're right, M11/P228 is peak 90s FBI kino
I'm tempted to buy a gen 6 glock 45 and just move my RCR over to it.
>>64927789I did that but with the 17. I like a lot of the changes they did to the Gen 6 but I do not care for the new trigger, it's noticeably heavier than the Gen 5 or even the Gen 3. I'm hoping it'll get better with use or Glock comes out with some kind of performance trigger for it.
>>64926854Does the VP9 do that?
>>64927611Figured the left coast would've made it illegal by now or required you to get a Class III FFL gumsmiffin loicense in order to "manufacture" it.
>>64927743Every single time you post that pic I get an erection.
>>64926152sure, now get him treatment without him hurting anybody with that big assed fucking knife in his hands. ps tazers fail a lot.
>>64928188Me too, anon, me too.
#3 came in. It brings a sort of optic only vibe to handguns that iron sights only schizos don't really like. It's fit as tight as a Nighthawk which is pretty impressive. It arrived in 4 weeks, way sooner than the quoted 12-14 weeks.
>>64927998Yeah I'm just waiting for Ducky to release the gen 6 plates.

Lead poisoning is a meme. Shoot inside
>>64928969Indoors is a meme. Shoot outside.
>>64928426>full length cover>no rail
>>64928426Nice. I just wish they'd make something with no front serrations and a coating other than cerakote (cerakote sucks, all my niggas hate cerakote).
Should I get a vp9a1k or a czp10c?I don’t have a single striker slop in my collection.
>>64928426Do they have anything geared more towards duty/combat or is it all comp/gamer?
>>64929226VP9A1 if you really want to be cool.
>>64925969What finish is that?
>>64929415Bead blasted stainless
Redpill me on the nu-2020 Pythons. I know they're mechanically different than the old ones and they had some issues when they came out. But are they g2g now?
>>64929495I'm sure mechanically they're fine but I'm not gonna buy a Python that has a QR code machined into the fucking metal
>>64929495Old school gun, new ones are worse than old ones, no point in buying the new one.
>>64927217Rally is a smelly JEET
>>64929689That’s not true at all unless you’re purely talking about trigger pull, the new Pythons are just mini Anacondas now, way over built and very nicely machined.>>64929495I have an Anaconda which is just the big brother of the Python, they’re fine, I’d recommend them.
>can't even air rackIt's over. The west has fallen.
>>64929975I could do it on my Beretta with a lower weight recoil spring
>>64929704Butter Chicken jeet or cow poop festival jeet though?
>>64929689Wrong, especially if you want to shoot one>>64929523Just buff it out lmao
>>64929122Keeping the lines simple. Got tac rails on my other ones.>>64929130No front serrations would be great. Honestly more slide and frame options would be awesome given it's just some CNC program they run. I'd like the frame to be the same width as the slide so it looks like just one block.>>64929228Not really imo. Their base models with the normal barrels perhaps, but they're still a bit flashy. I will say though, their BUIS system is great.
>>64929226Get a Glock.
>>64929226Walther PDP
>>64927359Didn't you just earlier yesterday talk about pressure? Because when you talk about pressure comparatively, you need to consider the volume in which that pressure is contained, as well as volume, not length, of the barrel, in which the gas will be expanding.
>>64927587I love the Mark IV Hunter, such a great gun.I wish I could plink outside with it
>>64927673So what excuses are you making for trannywood and western media that is way more corrosive than anime ever was?
Bless the bored RSO who helped me, guys>In line for range time on the weekend (busy hours)>Still pretty new gun owner and want to train with my G19>Last one to get a lane after the place opens>Cool>Couple behind me had a reservation tho>Their system dropped it or gave the lane to a walk-in before me>Couple getting kinda pissed about it>Approach the counter and tell the RSO doing reservations the couple can have my spot and I can just come back later>Dude is visibly relieved, couple thanks me, the mayor gives me the key to the city, my dad is there->Nah, but he is relieved and so are the couple with the reservation>Come back today, Wednesday>RSO recognizes me, calls me by name>Dude is a certified glocksmith and gunsmith>Helps me go over stuff about breaking in my handgun a bit more>Comes with me to the near-empty range>Basically get an hour of free professional coaching>Stopped me from doing stupid shit with my grip>How to breath and exhale before breaking a shot>Groupings drastically improved>He also let me shoot for free since I did him a huge solidI always was told gun store guys can be kinda scummy, but Mark, you're alright man.
>>64930441There’s about 3 guns I would get before a Glock.>>64930553Was considering this, but the vp9a1k beat it for me simply due to being a little smaller/less chunky

How do you guys top off +1 round? Coworker insists on>insert mag>rack slide >drop mag>insert round in mag>reinsert magTedious so I just lock the slide back, inside round, drop slide, and insert mag
>>64931103>Tedious so I just lock the slide back, inside round, drop slide, and insert magsome extractors don't like that, depends on make and model but that's one of the "don'ts" for 1911s while it's explicitly stated to do so in the Beretta 92 and PX4 manual.
>>64931103I only need one round
>>64931023That's awesome, Anon. Glad to hear it. I've gotten a lot of essentially free training and advice from bored RSOs over the years from just hitting the range on a weekday

>>64931207Mine always hit on me so I leave angry and flustered
>>64931174Wigger
>>64931113It was with my 92. I need to find the manual so I can show it to him, since I know he'll bring it up again.
>>64927998>noticeably heavier than the Gen 5 or even the Gen 3That's disappointing because I really dig the gen 5 stock trigger. Guess ill keep using my gen 5 17
>>64931103>rack slide back>insert mag>drop slide no human/hand interference>top mag>insert mag>ensure rounds sitting properly
>>64931103>lock slide back>drop round in>gently lower slide onto rim of round>press rear of extractor with thumb to relieve spring tension and seat barrel into battery>insert magOr sometimes I just drop the slide full force and frig it, as long as it has a sprung external extractor it's not likely to ever be damaged this way
>>64931103I used an extra magazine to temporarily hold one round, but eventually just started putting it directly in the barrel and dropping slide on it, forcing extractor pick it up.
>>64931510>putting it directly in the barrel and dropping slide on itThis kills the extractor>>64931241Don't make me repeat myself
>>64931103>TediousIt takes 20 seconds.

Had some special fun today, maybe god is on my side with that project. Pic related is a lab to detect amd determin chemicals, stones and so on. Good prices for requested service

>>64931558Yeah and my way takes like 5
>>64927179"As the boomers always like to say: 9mm kills the body, but 45 kills THE SOUL... and something else about two world wars"
>>64931103Your coworker does it the worst way possible. If I did that reloading my carry ammo after every dry fire session I'd have multiple bullets getting extra setback. >>64931451I've never even considered pressing on the extractor with any of my guns and I've never broken one. Makes me wonder if any of them don't like me just slingshotting the slide onto the round in the chamber or lowering the slide then tapping it to seat it.
>>64931766Thats just a dust cover
>>64931914>any of them don't like me just slingshotting the slide onto the round in the chamberInterior guns were known to break due to this. A lot of bullshit was acceptable in the past. I would avoid doing this to some valuable ancient relic.
>>64932070>>>In line I'd go home.
>>64931947>human dust coverjust german things.
>>64931451correct me if I'm wrong but I thought 92s were always able to just plop a round into the chamber and drop the slide?
