USPs are only "worth it" if you strictly want a USP. You are paying a premium for it to look like a USP. If you want a hammer-fired polymer handgun, there are better options
>>

>>
>>65095808
The SP7 is cheaper than the MK23
>>
>>65095819
yeah i mean save until release
>>
>>65095825
It really just comes down to which you think is cooler. I would say the SP7 has a higher odd of getting an FRT if you're able to get one in your state, it's quite fun. However, ammo cost will be brutal most likely. I haven't looked at the prices but I bet they will be expensive and hard to get. Not like people shoot their MK23s all day every day either though.

You probably can find MK23s for just under what the SP7 will be offered at. It's hard to tell since the prices for the SP7 will probably be closer to MSRP than dealer cost, but there are probably some deals on MK23s that are closer to dealer cost.
>>
>>65095808
If I had mk23 money I would put it into my rifle, not a handgun. Handgun is almost never gonna shoot more than 7 yards; whether it's a G2C or a Korth it doesn't matter

anybody have a link to a merchant that still works on Samurai Edge beretta 92 grips?
i emailed a turkish site but its been dead for half a year
>>
>>65095872
I'd scope out ammo prices. I'm sure while the SP7 is selling well there won't be as many good deals for a while. If you can stomach the ammo prices I think the SP7 is cooler but if you don't have a .45 then the MK23 is a solid option. If you don't have a suppressor then you'll want one too so that would factor into the price equation.

The P2000 is slightly slimmer without the safety/decocker and more comfortable imo, it's also substantially cheaper, with a better double action, and still a looker though not in the brutalist USP way. Seems like a clear cut winrar to me

But then again if you're buying for practicality a 13 round mag capacity on a full-grip compact makes no sense and both guns go to the bottom of the list.

>>65095808
You should never under any circumstance spend Mark 23 money on a Mark 23. Wait for a bargain, it may take a long time but you CAN get one for a halfway reasonable price (not fair, you'll never find one for a fair price, but certainly cheap enough to turn a profit on resale which turns it into a long term investment at best).

I can't remember but .45 has some good savings, that is why I started reloading was because I got a .45 as my first pistol. I'm about to run out of primers and bullets so I'll try to remember to take a look later today if you can wait. Yes to primers, don't ever buy brass. Also the minimal thing is good just buy what you decide you need once you start working. The kits throw in things that I would never use.

idk I just don't like cheaping out on something important like that. it's just a matter of when it fails, not if it fails. usually cheaply made gear fails when you need it most.

i will admit some of the really cheap gear is fine if it's not essential, i have an amazog light that handles 9mm alright. that being said, i don't trust the batteries it comes with anymore. too many of those things spontaneously combust, don't need my stuff going up in flames because of some faulty chinesium battery pack.

inb4 buy new batteries, may as well just buy a quality light at that point.

Depends. There are some shitty hammer fired guns out there and some very good striker fired guns. The nature of hammer fired makes it easier for a clean break and wall. And lighter weights.

Revolvers can have sub 2 pound SA pulls with the hammer cocked, I think some of mine measure less than 1 pound.

Firstline is "first responders". SA is a microcosm of everything cringe about the gun industry, Staccato is similar but at least they are well made. The only good products SA sells are made by the Croats. Do NOT get a cerakote 1911 btw.
>>
>>65097904
>>65097917
reloading "savings" vary from none at all to halving ammo cost, depending on how obscure that ammo is
ultimately just shooting 9mm is cheaper than reloading whatever it is you do and it takes less effort and desk space
>>
>>65097932
>The only good products SA sells are made by the Croats.
What about their high powers?
>>
>>65097666
No, unless you desire hipster cred. The gun matters way more than the action type and your skill matters several orders of magnitude beyond that. DA hammers are nice for dry fire though
>>
>>65097938
Dunno. I'm sure they work most of the time, like M1As. SA is just one of those companies whose consumer base is people who buy guns and never shoot more than 1000 rounds through them. Don't let me dissuade you from getting what you want. Their marketing just triggers me because it's cringe in a way that would work on me before I had shooting knowledge.
>>
>>65097934
I went all in on 15k rounds worth of supplies for .38 and since I reuse the brass and I have a shitload of it for cheap I'm paying 17 cpr.

From a practical standpoint, No, strikers are better and it's not close, look at double action hammer fire control designs especially, it's a rube goldberg machine compared to a striker trigger, which is simplistic and primitive like a zip gun. Watch the video about serbu butt master, that's like 90% of striker fire control system right there. You just need a trigger bar to let the "striker" go.
However, as you get into appreciation of firearms, more mechanically complex systems, that require artisanal gunsmiths to manufacture and fine tune, hammer fired guns are the enthusiast's best friend. It's the manual transmission of handguns, you might have a nerd tell you all about how it's a worse choice to provide army with a sidearm, but it just feels better.

This guy is correct. Weird cartridges you can save some money, and make what you want by reloading. If you reload normal calibers like 9mm, you're wasting your life for pennies. Time is the most precious resource especially if you have a family.
>>
>>65097992
>If you reload normal calibers like 9mm, you're wasting your life for pennies
Why is it always the same script for you noguns, anti-9mm reloading shills? I can reload 9mm for $0.15 per round. Saves a ton of money in the long run.
>>
>>65098001
if you shoot ten thousand rounds a year that's what, a savings of.... a couple hundred bucks, maybe a thousand? Show your math so I can pick it apart and call you a fucking retard in front of God and everyone.
>>
>>65097991
Glock also has around 80% of the public agency market. SA has 0%. Vet discounts aren't cringe. It's the gunsoomer marketing for corposlop guns that no agency would approve, so their demographic is 70 year olds and mexican millenials.
>>
>>65098013
>>65098001
If you are spending the time to reload 10,000 rounds a year, to save a couple hundred bucks you are a complete loser with no life and that's a fact.
