>>35502312Mean comments used to affect me but I've grown more tolerant of it. I realized most of the time people are just being dicks to fuck around and not much more, to me at least. If anything, people being annoying on Reddit irritates me a lot more because it's less anonymous and people choose to act like that anyway. They're not just anonymous, you can tell they are an individual and that pisses me off. I think Reddit also discourages blatently trollish behavior, so people have to be a lot more smarmy about insulting others and it's incredibly irritating. Instead of somebody calling you a retard, they'll say something like, "And yet, you really thought this was a good idea. Your ignorance is REALLY showing". Everything about Redditors just feel insincere, I can't stand them.I also legitimately believe I get more insight from this place than other sites. A lot of it is doomer incel shit, but there are also those with genuinely interesting things to say. On Reddit, I expect people to not say what they really mean. If somebody says something helpful on 4chan, it feels more sincere since they absolutely didn't have to. People just don't sugarcoat things and say stuff based off their gut feeling, for worse in many instances, but ultimately for the better.This site can instill in you a "us vs them" attitude though, and I'm realizing that's poisoned me, so I'm planning to leave soon. But I've always had fondness for 4chan.
