The SNP, the main pro-independence party in Scotland who have been in power for 20 years and have been attempting to lay down a path towards breaking up the UK union, won a minority government at the last election and came to power via a coalition agreement with the Scottish Green Party called the Bute House Agreement. One of the red lines the Greens drew in the sand as a condition for their continued support of the SNP was trans rights. Now, after the SNP caved to the Cass report and agreed to stop the prescription of puberty blockers, along with their failure to stand up to the Section 35 order from Westminster overriding their self-ID bill, the Greens are threatening to withdraw support which would cause the coalition to collapse and likely a washout for the SNP at the subsequent election.

Let this be a lesson to you; by hook or by crook, the eternal anglo ALWAYS gets what it wants.

This is a good thing, you only get what you want by using leverage, and ultimately trans rights are more important than Scottish Independence.

>party forces an ultimatum that is going to make them end up with fewer rights and more resentment

Lmao why would the Greens think they have any leverage after the shitshow they've been recently? If anything the most damaging thing they could do would be to publicly support them

>on the intersectionality of imperial fascism
this is all one giant funnel and you know it

I have no idea about scottish politics but seem legit, you can't have yourself be treated as a doormat by you coalition partner, you should see the shitshow here in germany because the greens are too afraid to call out the complete bullshit of their coalition partners

Yeah people are criticising the Rainbow Greens for doing the thing that the Lib Dems refused to do which annihilated their credibility
>>
Was this the whole point? To get people distracted from the economic and foreign policy failures and divide the independence movements? They're still going to lose Northern Ireland in our lifetimes lmao
