Those are my top albums from the past 6 months. I sort of go with the flow.
Whenever I'm out, like, grocery shopping or have to go to uni, I'll listen to higher energy music to sort of power through.
If there are a lot muslims, I'll listen to Goatmoon or Sielunvihollinen.
At home I mostly like listening to more mellow stuff. Neither Loreena McKennitt nor Nick Cave made it into the chart but I also love listening to their stuff whenever I'm in a peaceful mood.
Another great project few know of is Thurnin. If instrumental neofolk-type acoustic music is something you think you might enjoy, check out the debut album "Menhir".
Also, based off the rest of your chart I would've assumed that you're a guy, but HIM exposes the woman in you

I never listened to akhlys actually, I don't listen to much atmoblack or new bm since im more into mbm or general melodic styles of bm like emperor, immortal, obtained enslavement, taake, etc. but ill listen to Melinoë too since it seems decently well received and I need to brush up on recent bm.

Love to hear that!
Can't really think of anything similar to Blumberg, but based on your chart I could maybe recommend listening to "Dripping" by Pile.
It's been years since I've posted on /mu/, so my recs might be a little rusty. I've pretty much stopped actively looking for new music these past couple of years so for threads like these I pretty much just pick stuff out from my own top 200 or so albums on lfm, trying to match them to my best ability. Sometimes I feel bad for not really tailoring every rec to perfection.
However, one of my default recs to anyone who has Loveless or anything remotely shoegaze-y like that on their chart, has been Ovlov. Their albums "Am" and "Tru" are, in my opinion, some of the best emo shoegaze out there.

>Could have been generated by an algorithm.

most people's music taste is generated by the spotify algo, that doesn't mean the music itself is bad or that they are sticking to a trend- it means they were fed similar music to the stuff they already listened to.

not everyone has the time to sit at their PC and autistically browse discogs/rym to find new releases. some people actually have lives, unlike you. you're not more 'elite' because you have 'spent time developing a refined taste'. a music patrician is just someone who has no life

does melodic metalcore also count? for that I'd rec tears seven times - as porphyria once went, I have dreams - three days til christmas, unearth - the oncoming storm and Catherine - rumour has it astaroth has stolen your eyes. for plain mhc I can only rec thrice, propagandhi, afi, wilhelm scream, strung out , the basic stuff. and in screamo city of caterpillar is the best imo but uve prob heard that already. I can better rec screamo-ish phc like hopesfall - no wings to speak of, alexisonfire debut, alesana - try this with your eyes closed, on the might of princes

unfortunately, i am very picky. i've given a lot of these releases a try and they weren't for me

>>35562818
not transbian or male, but close
>gospel's first lp
not for me

>>35563848
>I Hate Sex - Circle Thinking
too straightforward, i like female vocalists, but it's not melodic enough to grab my attention
>Lorem Ipsum - Vivre Encore
too much chamber instrumentation. not enough of a good balance with the screamo elements, no dynamics
>Cerce - Discography 2011-2013
not melodic enough
>1905 - Voice
not melodic enough

>>35564059
the only ones from what you've mentioned that i haven't listened to are
>tears seven times - as porphyria once went
>unearth - the oncoming storm
and
>Catherine - rumour has it astaroth has stolen your eyes
i'll give them a try but
i got scared away from the melodic metalcore genre by a chud at a show wearing an august burns red shirt. he hit on me and then got kicked out of the bar area

for everything else, they all aren't really my cup of tea. i like a good mix of post-rock, melodic riffs, and chamber instrumentation, accompanied by poetic spoken word sections

gynephilic amab with some relation to grandness.

I have analyzed every image on this post and can assure you that, excluding me, there is no androphilic person in this /mu/. Because my longtime boyfriend was a huge "music nerd," I have deep familiarity with a substantial number of the albums here, on average at least 30%, and I can assure you no woman, no gay guy and no androphilic transgender person would ever made any of these topsters. I will now share my analysis to this conclusion:

-hardcore: androphilic people only listen to hardcore music that they randomly encountered, either through a gynephilc acquaintance or through a some algorithm. hence they wouldn't post niche modern standards, they would either share mainstream standards, like some very famous 90s band like fugazi or they would share some very random shit. no aphil will post brand new or la dispute. like come on.

metal- same goes. they'd share slayer or metallica.

hip hop/ modern pop - this one's blurry. the rule of thumb here is that experimental influences in an album, or an album's belonging to a newly emerging rap subculture, like Scandinavian school absolutely shows that the person is gynephile. Scandinavian school is a particularly telling example because it converges lot of agp interests: futuristic overtones, gender-bending, references to bro culture.

asian music: only asiatic music non-gynephiles will enjoy is either city pop or similar standard pop, or modern indie. no androphile will listen to progressive, fast paced, manic vocalled japanese pop.

anyways i got tired.

Idk if you've heard the split "Alcohol EPs" by Rivulets/Pale Horse and Rider/Remora but I think it's an interesting listen
Based on Joanna Newsom alone I'd probably recommend you listened to
Josephine Foster's "I'm a Dreamer" but she does have a very distinct style that may sound off to some.
Common Holly - Playing House
Jill Tracy - Diabloical Streak
Two more albums by female musicians that are heavily slept on.

No! I would say the opposite. Men, like sheep, listen to much to the what the community they are appealing to finds interesting. Women, although do not actively seek interesting music, rarely rely on other factors than actual qualities within music, such as rhythm, timber, sound. At the end, men are more knowledgeable about music but women have a more accurate taste and more perceptive ear. This is my experience.

To me this just sounds like saying "boys like blue and girls like pink". Your personal experience will never be enough to accurately make predictions on a subject as broad as this.
Besides, anything psychology-related will pretty much always have its outliers, which is why I have little respect towards the field as a whole. Just people treating other people like robots, arrogantly making claims about their inner workings, as if they've experienced life through their eyes. Generalizations, generalizations, generalizations...

Thanks for the recommendation. Yeah, I encountered Pinetop Seven this year thanks to Spotify Algorithm, what a great band and album. If u enjoy Pinetop Seven and JN, listen to misery is a butterfly. It has a skeletal, staccato production which is very different from music from that era, and our era, but it has been a very deep favorite of mine, I listen to it rarely because how potent it is. Btw I am also the guy who did the schizo "everyone here is agp" thread as well xd sorry about that if it was annoying. i was just trying to do a sort of new take on the guess the letter game.

yea i rlly dont like his newer stuff either lol. you should check out his Rules album, it's got a more polished sound without feeling too pop-y or losing the raw emotion of his early folksy stuff

if you're referring to venetian snares albums i'd recommend Detrimentalist. i'm a bit biased cause i prefer more jungley stuff i guess, i rlly didn't like Rossz's classical influence lol
if you're referring to breakcore in general i'd recommend shitmat's "one foot in the rave" and kid606's "who still kill the sound?".
not rlly breakcore but i'd also recommend "Death Garage / Kata Jungle" by kode9 et al

same anon u replied to initially, honestly this has been the opposite of my experience. most women I know listen to music for the idea of it, they enjoy music largely aesthetically, while men tend to enjoy both the aesthetics and the musical content. and its common knowledge that women appeal more to community than men, almost all of them have a pre-packaged set of "core"s that they follow in all of their artistic endeavours.
I try not to be misogynistic tho, because at the end of the day most men listen to music like sheep too but a higher percentage of them are active listeners and searchers of the artistic experience
